It's difficult when traveling to find Middle Eastern food. It's even harder to find good Middle Eastern food. This is a good Middle Eastern restaurant. A short walk down the street from the hotel to get carry out from the Beirut Restaurant. They had good ratings in Yelp A lot of the reviews made it worth a try. I'm glad I did. I wanted to get a good sampling of all the food here so I tried a main dish called, the mixed grill dinner. It includes lamb, chicken, and steak for meat. It also includes some veggies and a very large portion of rice. The meat is lightly spiced, but not overpowering. With the spice some of the flavors of meat did get a little muted, but it was all good. A plentiful supply of rice finished off the entrée. This was very good. A hint of Jasmine and not over spiced. Included in the meal were plenty of bread and sauce for dipping Also ordered a side salad with their own homemade dressing. It was quite good and the portion was big. Being a big fan of baklava I couldn't resist. This too was good.

Need dinner by DTW? GO HERE! We were meeting family passing through Detroit and needed a restaurant close to DTW. Many are attached to a hotel or fast food...and then we found this gem! It's small BUT has ample seating including for party of 6! Basket full of pita bread as soon as we arrived and a carafe of water while we looked over their extensive menu. Our server Carmen was FANTASTIC and super nice and even took a group photo for us. Four of us ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich, one a falafel sandwich and one a stuffed lamb plate. We also tried the appetizer platter which had 2 stuffed grape leaves, 2 falafel balls, Tabbouleh and 2 kinds of hummus. All was incredible! I was so excited catching up with our guests that I didn't take many photos once our food arrived. Everything was absolutely delicious. The stuffed lamb plate was a really good portion size. Restaurant was steady but we were able to sit and enjoy without being rushed out. You pay at the counter at the end and they had packaged dessert platters of baklava and other pastry treats. My husband grabbed one for us to all share before left. Thank you Carmen and Beirut Restaurant for taking care of us today while we had a wonderful family meal. I highly recommend this place and would come back if in area anytime!

Our waitress, Ms. Karma, made it amazing! From her recommendations with the sides to the additional food we wanted with the Beirut Platter. Everything came out fast, and the food was very delicious. If you're looking for a great place serving delicious, affordable food to eat near DTW, this is one you'll want to add to your calendar.

First time here and it was delicious! Definitely will come back when I'm in detroit again. Portions are huge! Family owned business, great service!

OmG...this was by far the best place we ate in Michigan...wish we weren't getting on a plane or we would have stayed and eaten more. Great value! You get so much in the meat platter, rice/french fries, hummus/baba ganoush, pita, grape leaves. Delicious! Friendly! Happy customers here!

Always a great stop when staying at the airport hotels. Fast easy service and friendly staff. Food is delicious and portions generous.

Man great place for middle eastern cuisine!! I had the appetizer plate and the mixed shwarma. It was WAY too much food for one person! I had leftovers for breakfast the next day and still didn't finish it. There is seating inside but not a ton - probably 8 booths and 4 tables in the middle?? Very quick service. Kind of abrupt to be honest if you ask me but whatever I can be quite direct when I feel like it and am not always in the mood for chit chat so it's all good. Delicious food more than makes up for it. App platter had baba ganoush and hummus - both were good but baba ganoush was better. Had a nice little spicy kick. Shawarma came with a nice zippy garlic sauce as well.

Great service and authentic food. We stopped in for dinner and our server was funny, knowledgeable, prompt, and attentive. She recommended a platter for two with a cup of lamb soup which fit the occasion perfectly. Many seats were full but the dining area was not noisy. Even with several tables our server took the time to regularly check on us and serve different options. Servers from other tables would collect finished dishes and such for our table very unobtrusively. The value was great and the food was very authentic. Nothing was overpowering but all of the seasoning was appropriately bold. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are near the airport stop I for dinner. You won't regret it.

Hummus with chicken, appetizer portion but it's huge!!!! Enough for two! Tasty

Amazing! One of my favorite to go places near the airport. Great place for a good meal before or between connecting flights. Nice hot meal. Get Turkish coffee, it's sublime!

We had almost everything on the menu, very full and satisfied. We had to pack food home, and couldn't wait to enjoy the leftover when our stomachs would be empty again. The food here are authentic and made with love. Highly recommend the baba ganoush here, tasty with smooth texture. The baklava tray is amazing. Totally worth it with the Turkish coffee.

Our server, bus boy, and supporting staff was so welcoming. The area was full of customers and the clanging of cooking utensils and the small chatter made the atmosphere very cozy. And then the food came, ahh the food. Hot and steaming, smelling of the herbs and spices, bountiful and nutritious. The selection we made was a platter made for two. So beautiful, bountiful, nutritious, and delicious. We chose grilled vegetables instead of the rice or noodles( less carbs). Lamb, chicken, beef and vegetables. Yummy. We also had a mango strawberry smoothie as well. There was so much food that we had left overs! Please stop and enjoy this place. It will delight you and your senses. Stay Yelping my friends!

The minty lemonade was tasty. The falafel sandwich was simply gross: tasted like it was made from a cheap mix -- both the texture and color (see pic) were off. Definitely would not recommend. The fries were surprisingly good. We also enjoyed the red spicy garlic sauce. The service was not great. Our weirdly cheerful server, Oksana, was serving multiple tables, and was quite busy -- we had to flag her down to get our bill after she visited our neighboring table THREE times without checking in on us. All this while three young bearded stood behind the counter watching the dining room but doing little but scroll on their phones and talk to each other. Another three bearded young men, apparently cooks, sat in a back corner table on their phones... one of them wore black (latex?) gloves and continued to wipe his nose, lips, and forehead! Not good.

Medium, good beef, juicy, bun substantial but not wet, good amount of cheese, good bun to beef ratio, I have no complaints, it went in my belly. The fries are also amazing. Angenerous portion, seasoned just right, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. My fiancee got the 4 skewer meal which in hindsight, is probably for 2 people.
