Terrible. Wouldn't trust this company or it's movers as far as I could throw them. I'm STILL, to this very day, am trying to get the money for damages caused to my couch by the movers that came to pack my belongings in Mississippi nine months ago. I've called them, emailed them, and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau just to try and get the money that they had promised to me. My co-worker has had the same problem with collecting money he was owed, but after numerous attempts and harassing telephone calls, he finally succeeded. However, this shouldn't be happening. I shouldn't have to harass the company for the money I am told would be in the mail and headed my way within two weeks. The worst part of it is, they are contracted out by the DoD, and move many military members/families all over the United States. I'm not even going to get into the rest of the story about them losing an entire crate of clothing, a GPS, a smartphone and other items I've already forgotten that I used to have before they were more or less stolen. (So much for having my household goods insured!) If I have to say anything, it's this. Don't even think about using this company. Utterly disgusting in the way they handle the men and women of the armed services and their goods. read more

After several moves in my life, I was very skeptic in the beginning. However, after I received a visit from the local Agent I was pleasantly surprised how thorough the quoting was and the entire process was explained in full. Prior the scheduled date of moving I received a visit from the assigned Driver (Phil) and he familiarized himself with what our household looked like, as well as with the area so that he could come in, park and load without any problem. On the day the packers suppose to show up, they did and again the professionalism and dedication was outstanding. They took care of our goods as if these where their own and packaged, labeled and prepared for next day loading. The following morning the Driver (Phil) showed up on time (actually 5 min early) and had his loading crew with him. The disassembling, loading went flawless and again very professional. In the same professional manor was the unloading at the destination. Again the crew was on time and so was the Driver! I am impressed!!! In summary, this was an amazing experience to work with Bekin's and if I ever move again, I will request the same Driver and crew. Bekins did an amazing job, from my first time contacting them to completion of my move. I was dreading my move for months as I was moving interstate for the first time and Bekins took most of the stress off of my shoulders. Everyone that I dealt with at Bekins (and there were multiple points of contact) was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They kept me informed every step of the way and they showed up on the correct date and on time, for pickup and delivery. I cannot say if their prices are high or low as I don't have a frame of reference having only used movers this one time. However, I will say that I feel that my money was well spent. For everything that they did and the quality of service, I think the price was more than reasonable and I was happy to pay it. The bottom line is that I was extremely happy and I would highly recommend them. Moving is very difficult and Bekins made part of it so much easier for me and I can't thank them enough. I really struggled when I read reviews for all the moving companies I had been researching to help me move from Miami to Chicago. I finally just decided that most people post reviews only when something goes wrong and I crossed my fingers and went with the company that provided the best price and seemed the most attentive in the home visit and the follow up. Bekins exceeded my expectations. They were exactly on time (7 am) for the collection in Miami and within two hours had finished loading. They had given me a week window for move in dates (to be confirmed when they were closer and had a better time frame idea) and I lucked out with being the first delivery four days later. Exactly what I was hoping for as I was not looking forward to sleeping on the floor for a week. My street in Chicago didn't allow them access in the large truck so they had to switch to a smaller one - something that I dreaded. Yet, this is the first move (and I have moved many times, both domestic and international) where I did not have a single thing break or go missing. They were quick, efficient, and careful. In less than 2 hours I was moved in to my new home. Bekins was great and I'd certainly call them again. read more

The worst company ever! Their sales team of Dean Quartino and Denise Rovetto sold me a slick package of which none was true. Their driver was 4 hrs late, his story ranging from I'm lost, to I'm stuck under a bridge, to my workers are late. Upon arrival, his 'workers' turned out to be a crackhead named Stan, and a girl who had to be shown how to use a handtruck. Turns out Rey, the driver, hired them under the table to save money, a total violation of our contract. Crackhead Stan became increasingly hostile and abusive during the 4 1/2 hr move (they promised me a 2 hr operation), and ultimately stole our desktop computer off the truck. Most of our furniture, wrapped by Stan, arrived damaged. At our destination, Rey the driver, withheld our manifest, and Bekins has refused to provide us a copy. Bekins acknowledged the theft but has refused to address the contract violations or compensate us for same. Easily the slimiest, most corrupt company I've ever dealt with and I will spend much time over the next year writing any and all publications that will publish me, to alert the public to avoid avoid avoid. strongly recommend Bekins and AMS-Bekins Bekins and AMS-Bekins did a very good job moving my stuff from California to Georgia. The AMS people who worked with me were supportive and professional: Val Hardwick, sales manager, Cameron Eversole and Dylan Sanders, relocation consultants. Aisha Polk, Wheaton customer service, was keeping in touch during the entire moving process and provided valuable suggestions. The driver Patrick (sorry, do not remember his last name) and the AMS loading team, were just great. The team unloaded my stuff in Georgia was good, too. I got reasonable price estimation (I checked it with two other companies). The moving date was settled to my convenience. The loading was done with great care. The loading and unloading people were hard working, friendly and polite. The driver professionally selected the way of loading/unloading. The delivery took only 5 days. I do not believe any move, especially from-coast-to-coast, might be stress free. Nevertheless, my move was good! I am grateful to all people who worked on my move. read more

We have moved 8 times all over the country - Pennsylvania (2), Seattle area (3), Iowa, Arizona (3). All but 2 of these were corporate moves. Our most recent one - Snoqualmie, WA to Scottsdale, AZ, was on our own and we used Bekins Northwest. This was our best mover ever. Right from the start we felt we could trust this company. Jon Warner was our first contact and did the estimate. He was very thorough and clearly explained the process. The packers did a great job, and marked all the boxes very clearly. This made the move in much easier. The crew that delivered our belongings did a great job. They were very accommodating and helped us place things where we requested. We had no damage to any of our property. Moving is hard - and stressful. Bekins was great from start to finish. We have used 6 different movers over the years, so we've had plenty of chances to compare. If we ever move again, we will call Bekins for sure. read more

This year has been crazy for us. What started out as an enthusiastic return to Colorado, where we hoped to eventually retire, became full of stress due to health issues, that would ultimately prohibit us from going to a high altitude destination. After many months of surgery, recovery, and trying to figure out an alternative retirement location, we finally chose Northwest Arkansas. We could not have asked for a better moving agent/coordinator than Tucker Briscoe, Natalie Bull, and Jim Hobson, driver/packer/un-packer/team-leader extraordinaire with Willis Permian Movers in Round Rock, Texas. We consider them friends. It is nice to know there are people in the world who really care about what happens to you and turn what is ordinarily a stressful event under the best of circumstances, into a pleasant experience even when everything else seems to be going wrong. We moved almost 900 miles to a different state with Bekins. We were really impressed! The guys on both sides (loading and unloading) worked with each other as a coordinated team and definitely cared about their professional work quality and about being careful with our stuff, especially our high-value items. The driver also was very professional, very on top of it, very protective of our high-value items, and he contacted us from the road over the moving days to put our minds at ease. Remarkably, all our important items arrived without any damage or marks of any kind! We did have minuscule damage to one easily repairable item, and Bekins already agreed to cover the repair expense for us. Considering the huge volume and weight of possessions that they moved for us, needing just one minor repair is miraculous! We can highly recommend Bekins for a safe and secure move and especially the Bekins crew that we had. read more

Not one single complaint! We were a big move that included a grandfather clock, grand piano and many fragile antiques from southern IL to SC, not to mention that our boxes were heavy as I did our packing for the most part! Our move also included a shuttle 3 miles from our home at move in. Our St Louis team (5 to load and 3 to unload) worked relentlessly, without complaint and were so so so courteous. They were professional, proficient and fun to work with, making what could have been a stressful move enjoyable. All marked boxes and furniture was placed in the rooms as directed and so far (we are still unpacking) we have had minimal damage that a tap of a hammer can't fix. This is our 3rd large move and we have used Bekins twice --- and they will be our 'go-to' next time! I recently moved from Carlsbad to another state. I contacted a couple different movers, and Bekins was my top pick. Their rep from Pack & Crate Services in Escondido (760-745-4907) came to my house and did an on-the-spot estimate for me, printed it out, and explained everything. I eventually decided to go with them, even though their estimate wasn't much different from another mover. They loaded my things as promsed, and delivered to my new home 2500 miles away. Everything was accounted for, and I was very happy with them. But the best part is that I received a letter from them saying they were refunding my credit card for $633.73 because the original weight estimate was less than their original estimate. I was amazed! I never would have known the difference if they had never given me the refund. Very honest, professional, outstanding company. I will definitely do business with them again. read more

Recently we moved from Aurora, Illinois to Mountain House, California and used Bekins for the move. I had excellent experience with Bekins. Nick was very professional & courteous with estimate. Brenda always kept in touch, keeping me updated of logistics & timeline. However, 1 person stood above all - their driver Carlos. He was very courteous, helpful, always in good spirit - both during pickup & delivery. Even though, he is not supposed to move furniture once it is setup in location determined by me, he still moved couple of times "very cheerfully", when the location did not look right. While unloading, I offered him (& his associate) to take to eating place for lunch, but indicated that he wanted to continue working. So far, everything has gone as promised. Van and packers arrived on the morning agreed to and finished wrapping and loading all our belongings in one day. Everyone was courteous and professional. Our driver, Patricia Schilling, (recently driver of the year) appropriately supervised all the day workers doing the wrapping and loading. During the trip across the country she kept us informed of her progress and expected time of arrival. Our load had two drop off points, a Bekin's storage facility and a home. She personally brought up many boxes of clothes to the attic of the home for local storage and availability while we search for a new home. Once we find a home, we will be able to rate the Bekin's storage experience, but so far the packing and shipping experience has been flawless. This was our first time moving out of state, so I was a bit nervous from previous stories I had heard about moving companies. Lee, Jose and team were outstanding! They arrived on time moving day. Our move was a little complicated as we had stuff going into storage and stuff going to our temporary home. Not a problem for them, they have a system in place for this. Lee and Jose saw the entire move through from loading to unloading the truck. They drove the truck from CA to ID. The truck arrived in five days. We met them at the storage facility first, as they wanted confirmation on the items being unloaded. Next they drove the truck to our home and unloaded. Nothing was damaged or broken! Bekins moved my mom's furniture from NY to NC. Two men arrived at her house on time and packed everything up from 4 rooms. They were very nice and new exactly what they were doing. In a few hours they were finished. At the other end in NC, we were contacted by the company that the furniture would arrive the next day. The next morning, we were contacted by the driver to expect him within the hour. The furniture was delivered and placed downstairs. We were a little nervous that it would be hard to get it downstairs, but again, they knew what they were doing. The furniture arrived in great condition also! We were very pleased. read more
