I decided to go online and call some moving companies and was completely blown away by Marie when she answered the phone. She was so polite and personable! She actually showed compassion for how stressed out I was with moving. I called another place to get a quote and immediately booked her once I hung up. She was very affordable and again I felt comfortable. She showed up early for the move and her guys were AMAZING!!!! They moved my entire house within hours and even stopped at my moms to pick up a large mirror. I can't say enough about them. If you need a moving company look no further! read more

I hired Biggs Moving in Brownsburg to move only the large and heavy furniture I could not move myself (couches/beds). The guys were very friendly, but when they finished all of our beds were missing screws and bolts. I found several pieces of hardware dropped on the ground as they were bringing in the parts of the bed and had to take them to the crew hoping they would be placed in the proper location of the appropriate bed. The screws and bolts were transported from one house to the other in the outside pocket of a backpack. They were not stored in a secure place to ensure that they were all accounted for. I contacted Marie and she claimed they would have the guys come back to fix the bed. I provided pictures and videos of the missing screws on each bed as well as the manual showing the appropriate hardware. After three days of the company promising to fix the issue, a bag from Lowes containing $4 of 1/4 flat speed nuts was dropped off on our porch. These are not compatible with any of our beds and do not resolve the issues in any way. When I informed Marie of this, they blamed me for the issue. I was told that the crew claimed the screws were missing before the move, which is absolutely not true. There are no longer enough screws left to hold my kid's bunkbed together. Instead of taking responsibility and making it right, I was offered $10-$15 dollars for my troubles, after being charged an extra 2 hours for the time they spent on the beds. I cannot imagine what would have happened if I hired them to move everything. I would highly recommend you do not hire this company. read more

THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND THIEVES DO NOT USE!!! We hired this company based on a moving labor recommendation from the Uhaul website. We hired them to load our 26 foot truck, drive it to our new location in Chicago land, and unload. The first thing that happened was that they late, with no communication. After 20 minutes, I called the owner. She then informed me that they had broken down, they were waiting for AAA, and that they would be on their way in a different car. The four movers finally showed up at one in the afternoon. They had no contract for me to sign ("we forgot it"), no dolly, no tools. I should have turned them away right then, but it was the day of the move and we were desperate at that point. We picked up the truck, I started heading back to the house, and they turned the other direction. I turned around and followed, and found them at a gas station, gassing up their personal car - on the clock. I said something, they said they'd be done shortly. No apology, no reassuring that I wouldn't pay for the gas stop. When we arrived at the house, the men began loading the truck. We were promised a 2 hour load; it took them *6 hours*! One box at a time, no hurry. At one point we found them just standing around checking out my husband's sword collection.?It seemed like they were doing fine with the boxes (they weren't. Heavy boxes were placed on top of light, about half our boxes were crushed). The furniture? NO clue what they were doing. They wasted a TON of space, so much that they couldn't get all of our things in the truck. My husband's father ended up coming over later, and he and my husband repacked about half the truck to fit the rest of our items in (there was PLENTY of space). Since it was so late, and we still had a five hour drive and then unload to do, we told them to just go ahead home, that we were done. We paid them for the time (Though honestly they should've given us a discount for going so far over time and doing such a terrible job - of course they didn't). I called the owner and got voicemail - I left a message to let her know they had done a very poor job, and that we no longer need their services. We would be driving the truck ourselves, renting a trailer to haul one of our vehicles, and having friends help us unload in Chicago. We ended up spending the night at my in-laws, since we had to be out of the other house, but it was already pretty late at night. When I did not hear back from the owner or the next day, I texted her so I would have it in writing that we canceled. All she texted back was "Confirmed!!" We realized just how much we have been taken for once we unloaded the truck. Our liquor cabinet had been packed in one box. It was gone. Approximately $300 worth of liquors, cordials, etc. clearly we had taken everything from the old house, it was empty. They stole it. I hired Biggs through U-Haul Moving Help. They showed up on time and unloaded my truck within the 2 hour time limit. They were polite and efficient. They carried the heavy items like it was nothing. Very pleased. Marie is personable and made me feel welcomed to my new city. read more

Biggs Moving and Storage, now Biggs Moving, LLC I had written a complaint/review before and this is an addendum to that review. It pertained to a burst water pipe that happened in my basement. I found an email I had sent the insurance company that was to pay them for boxing up just about everything and putting it all on my first floor. First of all, they refused to tell me their street address. Besides not being able to sue a company unless you have a street address, you cannot write a complaint to the Better Business Bureau unless you can put in a street address. Keep this in mind if you contract with this business. This is what I had written to the insurance company that was paying Biggs for the "work" they did for me. I had written to them to tell them to not pay Biggs the full amount for a number of reasons. The "men" put my Pakistani seat on top of a plastic tote and then heavy boxes on top of it. One of the legs of the seat went through the top of the tote. I also noticed that my Costa Rican ox-cart looked as if one of the sides isn't where it is supposed to be. I can't get any closer to it than this, so wonder if they did something to it that they shouldn't have done. (This is not a huge ox-cart that carries veggies to market.) There are plastic totes they put on their sides and some of the items are falling out. Then there is the wooden toy box that they put on my nice (custom made for us) dining room table without any papers or anything under it. I won't know if they scratched the table until it gets taken off. I had asked my son to put the little fire engines (on shelves, bureau tops) in the top drawer of the respective chests but Biggs' men got to them first. Some of them are reproductions of actual fire engines and put out by Hallmark. They are not toys, are delicate and cost between $15-$20. If they dumped heavy fire engines on top of them, some may be damaged. (Yes, some were.) Here are just dumb things they did. They put boxes (up to the ceiling) against my thermostat in the diningroom so that when it was really cold, I froze in the house. Now it's warm and I'm roasting and cannot get to the thermostat at all. I also cannot get to my coat closet if I want a hat, gloves, scarf, etc. My son also told them not to box up anything from my roll-top desk in the living room. Yet while he was gone getting more boxes, they boxed up everything, but never put any of the boxes back on the desk. My stamps, address labels and all kinds of other things I need are boxed up somewhere. They had no business touching anything on the desk. Some of the other problems are included in my previous review. I am now here "alone" and cannot get to some of the boxes down (which are quite heavy) to empty them. This is what is taking me so long to empty the boxes. There may be more items broken besides the ones I may have already mentioned (wooden nutcrackers missing parts, plus a number of small ceramic items I brought back from travels, all in pieces). read more
