I have called this place more than a few times and left messages about a vehicle listed online. Got no reply whatsoever. Sent an email and got no reply either. Checked further and noticed that the Orange 2006 Jeep Wrangler has been in their inventory from 10/15 to now (3/17). An entire year and a half with varying prices, going up for a few months and then down. Then I scanned the ad very closely and noticed the word "sold" listed under the stock # hidden in small letters on the page. Seems like a shady place that doesn't return phone calls or emails on cars that are sold, but yet continues to run the ad for many months. I have $5000 cash to put down in a Jeep right now, but if they can't bother to answer the phone, respond to voice mail or email then why should I or anyone else look at any other keeps in their inventory? Bought a 2007 F150 at Belair Auto 9 Lenox ave Milford CT. and 3 months later while up on a lift my mechanic noticed the frame had been foam filled ,sanded and painted to look like new we are in litigation now and I will keep all informed as to what transpires. We have actually been having a hard time leaving bad reviews for some reason they are not being accepted in which case I will pay the local papers to print my story when we finally get this case resolved. * EDIT* After owning this van for less than 3 months, the transmission blew. He claims the fluid was changed but it is black and low. I called to see if he would help me out in any way and only said it's not his problem and he has no obligation to the vehicle anymore. I spent my life savings on this van and now am required to put another $4,000 into it to make sure I actually have a reliable vehicle as I drive it cross country in 2 weeks. This has added an insurmountable level of stress to my life. Greg acted like he cared just to get rid of the van and sell it to me, and now could care less. I get it, things happen, but beware and make sure you fully know what you're getting before you buy. --------------------------------- I recently purchased a van from Greg at Bel Air to turn into a camper and move across the country with. Greg was professional and upfront about everything with the van, and even let me test drive it to a mechanic to get a pre vehicle inspection done. As he had said, it was a work van and needed a bit of work done- but was happy to complete the necessary mechanic upkeep that was needed without raising the price on me. He was upfront about his dealer fee and gave me a total amount that he stayed true to the entire time and was what I ended up paying. He registered the van under my name so I didn't have to deal with the dmv, and then he even let me take it into a second mechanic to make sure everything was ok before I dropped a large sum of money on what will be my mode of transport as well as my home. I'm always wary about buying cars, but the way Greg dealt with the situation gave me a bit of faith in buying used cars again. read more

Contacted the owner Greg about a vehicle I saw on his website. It listed that the car was in very good condition and well maintained. When I showed up to see the car in person, I was not greeted by Greg. Rather he continued to work on another vehicle as I was looking over the vehicle I came to see. Once I looked over the car, I had to go out of my way to find and introduce myself. The car was nothing as described on the website or him over the phone. It had the words "F*** you" keyed into the driver's door, the wheels were curb rashed, and the paint was flaking off, it had been both hit in the front AND rear, it had mismatched tires and it smelled very damp and like mildew inside as well. As I came to explain to Greg that it was a lot more beat up than he had told me, he got very agressive and rude. He asked me how I dare be picky, and that I had no room to talk because I had "credit issues"...mind you we are in front of other customers at this point. He was very disrespectful to who could have been a customer if he would have just worked on the price with me. I would no recommend this "dealership" to anyone. read more

BUYER BEWARE! My dad, who is 88 years bought a car from Greg at Bel Air Auto. I went to Greg after my dad purchased the car with several concerns. The first was that the value of the car was based on a CARFAX report with a Zip code of 90201. This Zip code is for Beverly Hills, California, NOT Milford, CT. Retail values are cars are based on Zip code and if you are not aware when checking values on multiple sites such as Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds, NADA, they all ask for the Zip code. Basing it on an Zip code from a very affluent area enabled Greg to deceive my father and artificial increase the value of the car and give the appearance that he was negotiating the price of the car in good faith. Based on my research the value of the car's list price was inflated by more than a $1000. This also happened to be the value that he reduced the price of the car by. Coincidence...NOT! This is totally unethical! The second concern is that the car's condition was listed as "Excellent". After driving the car only 800 miles. The car required extensive repairs which included, Front Brake Pads and Rotors, Engine Oil Gasket, and Engine Motor Mounts. Hardly "Excellent Condition" after only driving the car 800 miles. He didn't even change the oil before he sold the car as evidenced by the sticker left on the windshield. Greg's response to my concerns was also very disturbing! Greg's response to my concerns was also very disturbing! He was very aggressive and rude to me and he questioned everyone else's behavior as being unethical or reckless. My father's driving habits were questioned and that he may have driven with the emergency brake on, and that the mechanic who inspected the car and found the issues was only looking for work and to make a buck.
