Went to town fair tire the next day and got a patch for $4... a lot better than $200 for a brand new tire. Everyone working there was just too lazy to do their job.

Then on the fifth day, the mechanic looked at the job and started it only to find out another part was needed, waiting two days for that to come in now. It's funny because the car had a recall repair done earlier this year at Shakers Straits Turnpike on the same part and what, no one could tell it had other problems?! I just bought the car 8 months ago. Not happy with Shakers Mechanics or their Poor response to customers.

He stands behind his work and has fixed issues that come up on his own dime. He can often diagnose problems over the phone and even diagnosed a problem I didn't even know I had once by smell (saving me some money). He's a former Subaru tech and knows them inside-and-out, but he works on any car and his lot is full of all makes. He has offered a loaner car and has helped shuttle me when he's had to keep my car longer than expected. I only give him 4 stars since his shop is a bit difficult to find (next to an ice shop) and a little grimey, but don't let that deter you.

At first I tried calling him about the matter but he hung on me. This after spending $400.00 in cash for the repair. The next day I went to see him because of a noise in the area he performed the repair and he literally became a mad man, yelling curses and acting violent towards me. A professional mechanic would have looked into the problem the customer brings back to him. This man is not a reasonable person. Beware all. His practices lately with automotive work has been sketchy and he has deceptive ways of paying for service. He prefers to be paid in cash. He doesn't like to print you a receipt. Does that raise a red flag in your eyes? It did with me. IRS anyone? He talks excessively and doesn't complete work promised on time. The place looks dark, dirty and disorganized. He looks to be having difficulty with his knees and back, maybe he is unable to perform this kind of work anymore? I will not be returning to this place and suggest you stay away also.

Quiet Zone Naugatuck. My son took his car for emissions and the muffler was hanging. He needed a…read morenew hanger. They said he needed a whole new exhaust as it was all "rotted". I put a new hanger on for 20 bucks and that was 3 years ago. Still running that exhaust. Told me I needed a rubber brake line replaced on the back of my car. Estimate was 800 dollars. I bought the part for 20 dollars and did it myself. I know they need to add labor, but it took me less than one hour. Gave me a quote for a muffler and a couple pipes of 1200 dollars. Parts cost me 140 and I just did it myself. Estimate to replace two shocks, 650 dollars. They are just shocks, not struts inside of coil springs. Prices are insane. Any time I get a quote from them I bring it down the road and the other local shop has a good laugh. Other shop down the road is always MUCH less if I want them to do the work. Just beware. They will also tell you that they will "try" and get the cost down by doing this or that, but it never happens.
