First thing to begin with if you don't need a car take it to midtown auto bridgeport. These guys are the worst they took my car to repair engine then all of a sudden they have steering problems. They held my car for weeks giving me ran around the old tall man who pick the phone has no respect he is a bully .finally I got the car my horn stop working after three days ridiculous and he have audacity to tell me to pass by once a week to check my oil level.please don't fall for the the young short guy is the one who will come to you innocent to ask what is wrong with your car? After they act as if your nobody.especially when Mr bully takes over .I warned don't go there. They are problem they hold your car to make money they drag your insurance and your pocket too.they don't do a good job I can't stress it enough. I would give this place even less stars if I could. If you are stuck on the side of the road I would SERIOUSLY advise everyone not to go!! as they are completely unprofessional and rude to all people. I was yelled at by the employe name Jose threatening for him to leave me stranded and telling me there was nobody else to talk to. Late Thursday night my car was dead in the driveway. I called Good Sam and they connected me with Midtown. We scheduled a 9:00 AM pick up; they called me about 8:30 AM to confirm; and at 9:00 AM they were there to pick up the car. As the fellow began to get my car in position for towing I went inside to get the keys for our other car. When I came out the drive, truck & my car were already on the way to the repair shop. Prompt. The other reviews seem unfair to the towing company. I called them to jump start my car & they were able to replace the battery. They are fairly priced for an independent shop and much more cost effective than going to a dealer. They replaced my dead battery with a high quality Interstate battery with warranty and charged an acceptable amount of labor at a reasonable rate. I would recommend them for auto repair. read more

We requested a tow through Allstate and this company was selected. The insurance company subsidizes the service and told us the cost of the tow was $30.00. The driver called to confirm the location and was rude and unprofessional. When he arrived and I asked to confirm the cost before taking the vehicle. He called the office and was told to collect $75. I just thought it was an oversight and called to speak to the office. The manager was even ruder and told me I either paid the $75 or his driver was leaving. I did not appreciate being put in that position and told him to leave. I would not recommend a company that treats people this way. read more

Its Thanksgiving 2021. My parents car got towed from a friends apartment building. We call the tow company and the person- perhaps a woman- who picked up made fun of us saying they saw us on video and laughed because to them it looked like my parents read the tow sign and still parked. No one asked for that, we just wanted the car. My elderly parents go down to the lot to get the car and it wasnt there. I'm at home and I hear ab this 30m after my parents had been waiting, empty lot, no answer on the company phone- by which I mean my mom calls, it sounds like someone picks up, and then there's silence. So I call from home, speak to the person about how long my parents have been waiting, the person puts me on hold- I'm still on hold, it's been 30m now. These ppl ask for cash and my elderly parents had to wait in an empty lot at night, with no word from the company. The car arrived about an hour after my parents had been waiting. Again, as I type I'm still on hold. My only thought is that maybe the person who thought the fact that our car got towed and we had to pay 250 in cash was funny, saw in the video that we're Black, and decided to treat us like trash. Your business has no place in a diverse city like bridgeport where ppl are struggling to get by. read more

A few months ago, someone backed into my car while it was parked on the street. They did some damage to the front bumper and bent the hood up so that it wouldn't close completely. I'd gotten estimates at a number of shops that were in the thousands to completely fix the damage. All recommended that I go through insurance (the cost of which would then go up because it's the same as reporting an at fault accident). I took it to mid town and explained the situation, that I was just looking to do whatever manual manipulations were needed to get the hood to latch properly. They quoted me 100 bucks, and even though it was more work than they planned for, kept true to that estimate. 4 hours later I had my car back and am very happy with the work. They're nice, honest, quick, and did exactly what I asked for. What else can you ask for from an autobody shop? read more

I was surprised at the negative comments on Mid-Town..... I am a senior citizen, and sadly had my car booted (bpt taxes thank you). It was awhile before I was able to get the money to pay them, & get my car out of impound. Gus, at Mid-Town couldn't have been more accommodating. I swear, I had to be the biggest PIA, having to call him multiple times to make arrangements and he was ALWAYS more than fair, kind and PATIENT! I cannot help but wonder if the negative comments came from people who were pissed b/c of the circumstances & took it out on the garage. Not only no shakedown, but arrangements to pay yard fees. read more
