Eliza was the decorator for our 250 person Indian American fusion wedding. The decorations she produced were absolutely incredible and blew our minds. We reached out for her help when we were 2 months away from our wedding and frankly, not far enough along. We had a basic theme (tropical / jungle) and not a whole lot more. She patiently walked us through how to think through the decorations, the tradeoffs we could make, and provided amazing guidance on how to make the most beautiful wedding on a very reasonable budget. The end result was incredible and completely knocked it out of the park and our guests could not stop raving about how great it was. She also saved us a ton of money by re-using the flower arrangements from our ceremony to our reception. Her team had to work extremely fast and in a very tight timeline to make it work and they did! Alexis said she could provide service options for catering, DJ, photography and videography still. We never got catering or DJ options. We simply got one referral and a link to an Instagram account with no website of someone who was not a professional and only records using their iPhone. Highly disappointing!! I would like to let you know again...we had put down a deposit via check which I just reviewed the bank statement from August and THE $500 DOLLAR CHECK WAS CASHED! I'm shocked!!! Original review: Such an unfortunate experience with this company! After meeting with coordinators and explaining every detail of what our dream event would be like nothing came together for my sons 1st birthday. Two days before the event I was informed their building burnt down and they had none of the things I had reserved. I ended up coordinating everything on my own! And still have not spoken with the owner after putting down a 500 dollar payment for services!!!! I was very open minded and not too picky about the details since the planning was last minute! The pictures sent to me were still nothing like what I asked for... When she came to check the venue at our condo she simply text me when she arrived and gave me no prior notice to meet her whatsoever! We talked about meeting days before but after the fire I was left hanging with no communication just days before my sons birthday! I ended up coordinating the catering, Dj, photography, videographer, desserts, and decor and all on my own! It ended up being a lot cheaper, but much more stressful...the main reason I was willing to pay the rates to hire Bel Events.. Leading up to the event, after the fire, I let Alexis know I simply needed silverware, glassware, and plates still... none of which were brought. The day of the actual birthday I was getting calls and texts non stop about payments being required immediately and never offered any kind of resolution to any of my many concerns! I asked to speak with the owner who I never got in touch with! I simply said the services were no longer needed and continued getting constant calls about the event until the early afternoon. Very frustrating! To be fair everyone was kind when we met and through the process, and I understand the rare circumstances of the fire issue. My main issue is that I was never given the opportunity to chat with the owner or anyone to make things right prior to the event or after! Absolutely horrible and stressful experience! read more

We hired Bel Events for my daughter's wedding and our rehearsal dinner rentals. They were great in every way. They had great reviews so I used them and now after the fact wanted to give them a great review as well. All the correspondences throughput the year were excellent. They respond quickly. I contacted BEL only a few days before Thanksgiving a bit frantic as we planned how to host 20 family members for the holiday at our home. Jasmine was very responsive and worked within our budget to get us what we needed for the day. I finally got the chance the write this review. I signed with Bel events September of 2018. I originally signed on because I was meant to work with a different coordinator. That coordinator had quit while I was out of town. Eliza the owner took over our wedding planning. By far the worst experience and most exhausting experience I've ever had. Eliza only cares for your money and does not do her job. I knew working with her was impossible, she constantly would dismiss anything I would say to her. I did some research and spoke to my own vendors to see if she would keep up with her words. She never did anything and many vendors themselves told me that they didn't want to work with her. After reading the yelp reviews, I thought maybe I should give an input. She claims that she would do so many things but did nothing and was impossible to get a hold of. I repeatedly asked her to help with the hotel room block at the hotel we were hosting our events instead she would then around and tell me about the hotels down the street. Everything she did literally made me cry, I knew wedding planning with her was an absolute failure. I managed everything on my own and got no help at all from Eliza. Instead of help, I got major breakdowns trying to manage a wedding for 650 people and a reception for 550. Eliza is full of empty promises, once she has your money she will be sure to leave you in the dark to figure everything out on your own. Two months prior to this, in June 2019 I decided to fire her as my coordinator because I couldn't stand for fake personality and how useless she had been. I ended up going with another coordinator team and decor team. Imagine managing a huge event and dealing with a clown. If you want to stress out and have mental breakdown, then hire bel events. She is extremely attentive, creative, and professional. She always made time for me and listened carefully to my vision. My biggest regret is that I didn't give Atrina a long enough hug through my events because she is seriously so incredible, words just don't do justice. What a roller coaster it has been re-planning a wedding during a global pandemic! It was also a little bit of a rollercoaster working with BEL but at the end of the day they delivered great results! I started off talking with Lindsey in April 2019. She continued to answer questions, send photos and update my invoice as we moved along. I hadn't received a response from her in I think it was October and I spoke with the manager Eliza. She was able to set me up with a new invoice, as I had to remove some items. More changes needed to be made but Eliza was not very responsive. Eventually Jackie & Lauren were copied to my emails and were able to respond promptly with answers to my questions. My fiancé and I visited the show room just before COVID-19 and added more to our invoice. It was great to see things more in person. Once May 2020 came around I had to reevaluate my wedding and the rentals I needed so we split my deposit between my bridal shower and wedding day so I could use rentals for both. Communication took time as it grew closer to the wedding so I got a bit concerned but everything was resolved. As the guest count changed we had to decrease the rentals and I was refunded a small portion. The tables, chairs and linens we rented were good quality, clean and the crew was efficient and on time! They did my sisters destination wedding in Cancun and everything was flawless!!! We used BELEVENTS FLORIST and was not happy with the results. I signed on with the florist in December 2018 for our wedding in May 2019. Before we made the first deposit, the florist mentioned that they wouldn't be able to deliver the flowers to our wedding because there was another big wedding the same weekend that EVERYONE had to attend including herself. I really enjoyed the relationship that the florist and I had already built, and I trusted her work based on other reviews and photos which is why I decided to give BELEVENTS florist our business. I also didn't think picking up flowers ourselves on the day of the wedding was no issue. We stayed in contact with the florst via email and text. Problems didn't occur until April 29th aka week of the wedding. After all the photos we'd sent back and forth, and communicating, I felt we weren't on the same page so when she asked for my final payment I wanted to make sure she understood my vision before I paid. Ceremony arch flowers did NOT look like the ones I requested. It was small and tiny, whereas I was looking for a full look. She said it wasn't possible to add/purchase additional flowers because it was too late. I hired ANOTHER florist to do the head table flowers and floral arch over the head table. THANKFULLY my second florist (from Olivia's Mums Florist Design) was able to create the ceremony arch pieces that we wanted. NOW, we have extra arch flowers from Belevents that won't be used. We ended up using the flowers to make bigger centerpieces than the ones I originally wanted. Speaking of centerpieces, Belevents florist all of a sudden no longer thinks I should add pampas grass to the centerpieces because of it possibly getting caught on fire and having it blow into peoples food. We didn't have any real fires/candles but I saw her point with pampas grass getting in people's food so we took out the pampas grass. Finally, the my bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets were ugly and looked wilted. Looked nothing like the photo she sent me. The bouquets didn't even include the pampas grass. My 2 main frustrations was having to pocket out a lot more money on flowers that I didn't have to purchase, wasting flowers that I'd ALREADY purchased AND the amount of frustration that I went through trying to find a solution for the problem. I planned our Salt Creek Beach wedding 2k miles away in Chicago, and the only issue we had were the flowers. It's unfortunate that I have to give this review a 1 star. read more

Very rude and unprofessional owner and staff. Rented some tables and chairs for an event in our backyard. Scheduled delivery for Saturday AM and pickup for Monday AM (per our contract). Delivery went fine but on Sunday morning we went out for breakfast and came home surprised that all of the rental equipment was gone! They showed up a full 24 hours earlier than specified on the contract, without notice, and trespassed onto our property while we weren't home to collect the rentals. Completely ruined a luncheon we had planned for later in the day. We called and spoke to the owner who couldn't care less and told us to call the cops if we don't like it. Breach of contract, illegal trespassing, and unprofessional staff. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Weddings are obscenely stressful. Indian weddings are even more so. As a groom, I can't tell you how valuable reducing your bride's stress is. BEL saved my bride an enormous amount of stress. And in turn, they saved me an even more enormous amount of stress. For that alone, I'd give them 5 stars. However, BEL offers more than just stress relief and peace of mind. Morgan and Alexis were with us every step of planning, decorating and producing our wedding. They were prepared for contingencies when things went wrong and were able to make sure our big 3 day wedding went off without a hitch. They even helped keep our families sane and relaxed during the peak stress of our wedding. BEL's in-house florist Shadi created masterpieces for our centerpieces and wedding decor. BEL's owner Eliza was warm and welcoming. She never made us feel like "just customers" but rather more like guests or even like family. She was extremely unresponsive, and blatantly lied about requests we made saying the venue could not accommodate when in reality, she was lazy and unorganized and tried to save herself by blaming the venue. The event venue shared they've had many similar experiences with her and so they avoid working with her when possible. Unbelievably reliable and an absolute pleasure to work with. This review is overdue on my part, but BEL Events handled my wedding back in February, and Morgan Harris and her team were phenomenal. First off they were very easy to work with and helped us to find many of our vendors. We had a wedding that was equal parts traditional US wedding and Pakistani wedding. We tried to make sure to incorporate enough aspects from both cultures and backgrounds so that everyone who attended was impressed with the ceremony and planning and that no one felt they were forgotten or left out. This took a lot of work and Morgan and her team were complete professionals, as well as very kind and easy to work with. Then, on the day of the event - our expectations were vastly exceeded. My wife and I had planned every last detail and BEL Events made everything look and feel exactly the way we had asked. Additionally her team was on point all evening to help get my wife anything she needed (she was sick, and there always seemed to be a person asking if she needed halls, tea, etc). Every time we had to adjust the schedule because something took longer than expected (as they all do - although they really worked hard to keep it as on time as humanly possible) they were on their ear pieces and walkie talkies escorting us around like we were the president. It's been almost a month since our wedding and I've dreaded writing this review. Not because I don't LOVE Dana from BEL Event Productions --- but because writing this feels like a chapter of our wedding story is closed. Sandeep (my husband) and I began working with Dana around August 2016 (~8 months before our wedding). She has been nothing short of responsive, thoughtful, determined and a joy to work with. Where do I begin...we are SO thankful for Eliza stepping in to rescue our wedding just a few days before the actual date. Eliza and her team were professional, well organized and extremely helpful. Our venue had many changes including a change in ownership that occurred just a few days prior to our wedding date leading us to have to make many last minute changes. We had originally planned to hire BEL events for our rentals but only a few minutes after meeting Eliza we both realized how experienced she is and how much we needed her. Worst!! I won't give them one star also. I would suggest not to waste time and money going with these guys as they took our $550 and promised to return and never sent us our money back . I won't recommend them to anyone out there. When I reached out for my money back they blocked my contact details. Eliza N. mentioned that she sent the cheque to my address and is claiming that someone else might have cashed out(cooking up stories) which makes no sense at all and kept me waiting for 2-3 months for the amount and finally never returned the money. read more

Very unprofessional and doesn't care about other peoples time. Eliza made it seem like she listens and can work with the budget but doesn't respect or listen to either one! I described my aesthetic and she took us out to an ugly home safari style and was late and brought her boyfriend along. We looked up the price and it was 10,000 over our total budget! What a waste of our time and we never got a follow up email. Clearly they didn't want our business. It's been about a month since my wedding day and I still get people commenting about how perfect that day was. I can easily say without a doubt that if I didn't work with Atrina and the Bridal and Event Lounge my special day wouldn't have gone as smoothly and looked as amazing. Being a bride-to-be isn't easy.. You have a lot on your plate, especially when you work a full time job. I knew that there was no way I could plan a 200+ Persian/Mexican wedding without hired help. My husband (fiancé at the time) didn't understand why we needed to spend money on a planner/coordinator and why we had to have a "bride & groom stage", white dance floor, etc. and now he tells me how happy he is with our choices and how much he appreciates all we put into our wedding and that it was ALL worth it. Where do I begin to express how happy I was with BEL! BEL did all of our wedding decor for three different events, as well as our coordination. Every person here was extremely diligent, kind and helpful to us while planning our wedding. Our decor and setup was absolutely gorgeous, as we still have guests telling us how grand each event looked. It looked like a dream! We worked with closely with Arika, Morgan, and Lindsey for all of our needs. Lindsey was great at helping us put our quote together, always asking questions about what type of colors and styles we would like. I didn't have much in mind, so she took time out to show us all the different options we could go with. Anytime we had questions or concerns, she would reply back, even when she was out of the office. Even with the rainy weather, Lindsey was ensuring that our outdoor tent setup was done properly. Morgan was extremely efficient as one of our coordinators and worked great with all of the vendors. Anytime we told a vendor that Morgan was one of our coordinators, they would tell us right away how great she is to work with. She's very professional and when you ask her for something, you know it's going to get done! Arika was our other coordinator and was present for our entire wedding. She's honestly one of the best people I've ever worked with!! SO great at what she does. Every small request I would have, she would take care of it right away. Things from reminding to me to bring my laptop to the venue the day of the wedding, to making sure I looked my very best during the photo shoot we had prior to the reception. She's a great combination of being professional and assertive while being so nice at the same time. I can definitely say that our crowd wasn't the easiest to manage when it came to things like photos, but Arika took charge and did it perfectly! We had many of our guests telling us how organized everything was thanks to Arika. Sharlene was also there the day of the wedding and took such good care of me before it was time for me to walk down the aisle. She was with me in my room, making sure I was feeling okay and would check in to see if I needed anything. It was wonderful to have her there. I would highly recommend going with BEL. Almost 7 years ago when I met Atrina for the first time my heart was set that when it was my turn to be a bride Atrina would be the one to bring my dreams come true! And that she did!
