(I do not ever post a negative comment about any company but felt it was important to share this.) We requested a quote for a stage for an upcoming event in OC. Above The Top Party Rentals is 19 miles away from the event location. The stage price was $375 and upcharges were added -- almost $500 was added to the rental cost of the stage ($493.16). I was shocked. A green turf was even added to the price for $127.40. That's a new one and never had green turf required with a stage rental before. I even asked if could be removed and inquired about it with no reply. All in all, the stage cost of $375 went to cost $868.16. When asking Jose, I received a response several days later telling me their prices were competitive. We have rented from many party rental companies in Orange County and never have seen upcharges like this. I was completely taken by surprise. And, it took Jose several days to get back to me with a quote or reply, after texting several times, calling, and finally because there was no answer, I even decided to finally email in the request. We wanted to rent the stage but unfortunately Above the Top Party Rentals is the only preferred vendor on the list taking advantage of customers like us and probably others. I highly recommend using J & N Party Rentals. We've rented from them for several years with no upcharges and reasonable prices. read more

We got SO much feedback about how beautiful our summer outdoor wedding was and it wouldn't have been possible without Above the Top! Corey helped us out and was super accessible and helpful throughout the process with both feedback and suggestions. He definitely knows his stuff. What a nice experience! My son recently had a wedding and we used Above the top rentals for the chuppah, draping and linens. They were so nice and accommodating. The chuppah is clear lucite and everyone thought it was amazing. The draping transformed the country club . The linen the bride loved was sequined and they did not have the amount we needed. I reached out to Jessica to help me plan my wedding event. I went with this place as I wanted something out of the ordinary for my event. On Aug 30th I met with Jessica, talked about the ideas I wanted for my event. First of all, She gave me a business card and asked to send pictures of where the event was going to take place. That business card was not updated so I texted a random number pictures of our relatives house. Did not receive an answer from her so I emailed the pictures to her email. I didn't hear anything from her until I called the office and told me she was out sick.... I reached out on Sept 7 and Jessica told me she would be out of town until the 26. I responded and agreed to that date but again did not receive confirmation from her that the appointment was confirmed. I call on Aug 19 and asked what is going on with my event designer. She hasn't confirm anything, and measurements haven't been done at all to start the process of what additions we would like to add to the event. The office tells me they will make a note of this and get back to me. The next day Jessica calls apologizes and tells me that she will have time for me and the party. I tell her multiple times that I would prefer a different event designer as she doesn't have time for me. She refuses to change event designer and I give her another chance. Jessica tells me she is busy but ACTUALLY has time for me on Wednesday at 5pm to make measurements. Sure enough the next day 15 mins before the appointment she CANCELLED on me. My time was wasted and I was upset cause again she was being unprofessional and felt unimportant for this company. I call the office once again and spoke with someone else (couldn't understand the name) but explain to him that Jessica just cancelled on me and this isn't the first time I been having trouble with her. He apologizes and tells me there are only 5 people working and it's been busy. Again, all I'm asking is to take measurements and start the decoration cause my event is ONE MONTH AWAY... I ask for a different event planner again he agrees to come the next day and text me the confirmation. And did you know what happened next? YUP! no text confirmation from him as well. I took my business to Party N Fun cause at least She already knows what I want and aren't unprofessional like this business. I really didn't care how much I spend on this as I wanted the best decorations and the most creative but honestly they didn't seem interested and I already wasted a month because of them. They just completed my wedding in August at the Hyatt Huntington Beach it was beautiful, classy, and most importantly AFFORDABLE. My daughter and her mother in law used Above The Top for my daughter's wedding this last weekend for the chuppah, draping and linens. I live in Northern CA and they included me in a couple of the visits to the shop/warehouse and it was such a fun experience for me. They were so helpful making suggestions and they have so much to choose from. My daughter chose a combination of table linens, one of them sequined, and they made more to accommodate our wedding and did not charge extra. They supplied the drapings and worked so hard getting them just right for the extremely high cathedral ceilings. The chuppah was clear lucite and our florist was able to place florals in it, but it did not obstruct the incredible golf course views. We highly recommend them!! read more

My wedding isn't until July of this year, and this company is already so impressive! I was emailing with Robert about what kind of dance floor and furniture to get, and he was so incredibly helpful. He sent me multiple pictures of work they had done, which really helped me to make my decisions. He also responded to my many emails each day, which was amazing. Their prices are very fair and competitive, and I am so glad I booked them. I even ran into an issue because my venue changed their flooring. This meant that I no longer needed a dance floor. Even though I already put my deposit down, Robert worked with me so that we could come to a reasonable solution. I am so appreciative and grateful that they were able to work with me!
