Super judgmental: "So, our Chuppas don't come with instructions, and you have never put up a Chuppah, so.... blah blah blah" I have put up a Chuppah. "if you need a cheaper option you could go to home depot and by four 2*2 piece of woods" Thanks, like that is the only option under the over $1000 minimum you offer. I hired Happy Chuppah for our lakeside wedding (01.17.15). Karina was great. I really did not have any vision or ideas on how the chuppah should look. I told Karina "I trust you." She just went with it. The chuppah was perfect. It was simple and clean. The drapery looked so "romantic" as it lightly moved in the breeze. It was great! Karina and her husband were amazingly nice people over the phone and in person(husband only...never met Karina). Unfortunately they did not deliver. We requested a Chuppah from an image on their site, one that they supposedly did. What we received was not even close. It was very thin material and the poles were very very visible from every angle. After the wedding Karina and I went back and forth via email on this matter and she kept insisting the pictures will look beautiful... it can be photoshopped. I really didn't understand how she could say this... in person it looked pathetic... she wanted our photographer to fix her problem for her. Anyways after spending over $750 for the top of the line Chuppah, Karina's fix was to compensate us $50... Our communications stopped after that. We were very happy with our chuppah! We got married last May at UCI University Club and wanted a natural/organic outdoor ceremony. We opted for their birch chuppah with off-white drapes. They arrived and setup the chuppah on time, and coordinated well with our florist. They also setup really pretty crystal beads and chandelier throughout our outdoor space, which really made our ceremony feel special. They left the chuppah up until the evening, and snuck in towards the end of our reception to take down. We had windows in our reception hall, so you could see the beautiful lights shining up into the chuppah canopy while everyone enjoyed dinner and speeches. Unhappy Chuppah. They brought the wrong size chuppah, 6 foot square instead of the 8 foot square written in our contract, so that our attendants did not fit underneath, leaving us squished for the ceremony and the photos. The chuppah was not properly weighted down, and fell immediately before the processional, breaking our expensive Venetian kiddush cup and delaying the ceremony by about a half hour, leaving glass shards spread around, and greatly agitating the bridal party. Fortunately our guests were able to grab it before it fell into the lake, and then family held it up during the ceremony and photos. We should note that there was hardly any wind. When Happy Chuppah came to collect the chuppah, they argued with our day-of-coordinator that it couldn't have fallen over, as if we don't have it all on video. They said they would call us, but we haven't heard from them. Very unprofessional and unreliable. At least it was attractive, except for being the wrong size and falling over. read more

I rented a Chuppah for my May 25-2013 wedding and was very satisfied by the beauty that it brought to my wedding ceremony. In person it wasn't exactly what I thought it would look like based on the pictures from their site but in my wedding pictures it is absolutely breath taking so it all worked out well. Especially when it came to helping me pick out the best draping for the Chuppah and making sure that it complimented my dress. They were on time, set the Chuppah up perfectly and did not take it down until my wedding party had taken all of the photos that we wanted to take. I cannot begin to say enough good things about Karina and Happy Chuppah. She really is so genuine and went above and beyond to make our wedding day special. When I first started asking questions about the different Chuppah's they offer, Karina answered every single email and question I had in record time. We had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Happy Chuppah. Karina was an absolute doll and so easy to work with. The chuppah arrived exactly on time and was set up quickly so that our florist could get to work decorating it. It was weighted down properly and secured from behind to ensure stability as we were married outside in a windy area. The chuppah was beautiful- we chose a dark wood with ivory drapes- it was so elegant. The chuppah was picked up right on time and they even helped us remove some other decorations from the ceremony site that were hard for the event coordinator to get down. Like the yelp reviewer below mentioned, it was a very condescending interaction. I had emailed a few times asking if flowers could be staple gunned to the chuppah but never heard back and decided to call to inquire. The lady then proceeded to tell me my florist is inexperienced. I then asked her for a picture of the dark wood without linen and she directed me to her website, which I explained to her again has linen on it and I do not want that and she says, well everyone puts linen on them (like I'm the crazy person to want a chuppah without linen). I asked if she could send me a picture of just the wood so I can see what I am renting before paying for something and she says her storage is an hour and half away and she will not go there to take a picture of the wood. She doesn't have a wedding till the end of April and she will not go out of her way for a picture. Well when you want the business, you either have pictures of your items or you help your customer.
