My 1st cut was good the owner seem to enjoy making fun of my previous barbers cutting skills. "I will fix this for you". In my opinion she did a great cut she just smelled like an ashtray so I decided to look for another barber. I felt the 1st cut was good so I returned a second time. This time I was fortunate to get the woman barber and she was excellent. If she every opened a shop I would have followed her. Unfortunately the 3rd visit was a mess. I walk in and the shop had 4 customer in line and the owners young son was doing his best to get everyone taken care of. It was clean by the conversations happening that at 10am the owner had not woke up yet. So I waited my turn. If was finally my turn to get a cut and the owner walks in looking like he literally just woke up his smok was so wrinkled it looked like it was 2 sizes to small. Clearly he was in a bad mood. I get it no one like to be woken up at 10am to go to work when your shop open at 8am. The nerve of us wanting haircuts and cutting into his quality sleep. I told him what I wanted and 3 mins into the cut I wanted to get up and leave. I new this was going to end badly. It did. I had to go to Vic's to get my hair cut fixed and cleaned up. I felt like I was bothering him to get a haircut and he made sure to cut my hair like it was a bother. I would have made this a 1 start but the previous haircut by the woman was good. read more

I was in Scottsdale for my brother's wedding a few months back and decided to take the groomsmen for a hot shave the morning of, while waiting for the women to get their hair did and whatnot. After calling a few high rated places on yelp, I called Bel View and they said they'd take all of us for the next morning with no notice. We rolled up to the hometown shop around 10 or so and found they didn't have enough waiting chairs for us. No problem... they ran in the back, pulled out a few more, and sat two of us down at a time to get a shave. I've been a straight razor shaver for a while, so I'd say I know a close shave when I get one. I came out of that chair looking as baby faced as the day I popped out. Great shave, authentic atmosphere, and probably the best decision I made that weekend. This place is a diamond in the rough and I wish I had a barbershop like it out in LA. read more

I love this Barber Shop. Other shops are charging $30 or $40 or more for a good hair cut/trim, but David nails it for only $13. He knows who I am on sight, he remembers my haircut, and he gets it done quickly. To top it off, he shaves my neck with a straight razor and hot lather, and he even scissor trims my old-man eyebrows. I was in town and found Bel View Barber Shop on Yelp. This is a solid barbershop! I'm very particular about where I get my hair cut and was hesitant at first but was very pleased with the service and attention to detail. Ask for David, the owner. He's been there over 13 years and values the art of an old fashioned barbershop and scissor cut. The price for a haircut is $14. Other places charge twice as much for the same service and lack the character and originality of a family owned and traditional barbershop. A regular haircut up the street at Groom Room at the Biltmore Fashion Park will cost you over $30. Keep it real and pay David a visit. read more

I was very impressed with this place.. David hooked up what is probably the best haircut I've had, complete with a straight razor line up. I saw that the yelp profile says they accept credit cards, but this is false information. I had to leave to withdraw some cash and come back to pay. Bel View Barbershop is my new spot. David is good. The other lady barber is good, too. I didn't have to tell them how i wanted my hair cut. they always get it right. Even got errant eyebrow hair trimmed. I drive 10 miles for the hair cut. This is one place I don't mind leaving a nice tip. read more
