He presented himself as both a painter and handyman, so we trusted him with painting and small repairs in our condo. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. When I returned to check the work, the condo was left in a complete mess. There was debris on the tile floors, paint spots on the floors, kitchen table, chairs, and even inside the kitchen sink. The master bathroom floor had paint spots, both bathroom mirrors had watery paint drips, and dust was left on every surface. The worst part: all of our sheer curtains had been thrown out without permission. Only one was saved after I asked about them. This level of carelessness and disregard for someone's home is unacceptable. I cannot recommend Color Rise Home Improvement or Eber Ferreira based on this experience.

WE Really wanted to like this company and they started out good.. Well my suspicions were correct…read moreand none of the transitioning lines or edges are crisp or straight as John promised. I noticed during the process something seemed off and a simple Google search revealed most PRO painters do the base first in order to get a straight line using tape. This company DOES NOT use tape. Everything is freehand and it shows. My 10yr old daughter can make a straighter line. At first they seemed like they knew what they were doing and prepping properly with a sanding machine but as the job progressed it became evident they were cutting corners. Not enough prep was done and they rushed the job from middle to end. Lots of drips and they missed entire areas. The worst part is they destroyed our brand new $3k Hunter Douglas powerview blinds and refused to offer any compensation. And It's more than just visual deformities .. somehow the way it was wrapped caused the entire thing to warp and now it's not closing properly on the mechanism. And the mechanism sounds like it's forcing them which could eventually break the track. The bottom line is we paid for a premium professional job but got a less than adequate sub par workmanship finished product. The owner said we had too much stuff to move. That's complete bs. We had one room with alot of stuff that we assisted with AND the rest of the house 80% we moved ourselves! This all started because the owner was greedy. I asked if we could remove the base painting from the original estimate and he said the job would not be worth it for him at that point. He forced my hand to honor the original estimate and do something I didn't want to do and now this is what happens. The bottom line is we paid for a premium professional job but only got an ametuer job that we could of hired a few day laborers to do for half the price.. Whatever the owner says below is going to be inaccurate so feel free to contact me for the TRUTH.

I did not have a great experience with Southern Sky Painting. Bob makes it sound like they do…read more"meticulous" work, but they don't. Also added on extra charges at the end ($900), even after clarifying everything before the work was performed. Overall, work was decent, but I can't recommend based on character and price gouging at the end. They painted the entire interior and exterior of the house. I have painted professionally, and I worked along-side the crew part of the time and was able to point out many other things along the way, that probably wouldn't have been done if I wasn't there. Here is a list of issues we had: Exterior: Did not properly scrape loose paint and fill cracks (partially fixed) Missed painting a board on soffit Painted gate wrong color (did fix) Had to go back and re-roll because of lines (did fix) Overspray in a few areas Sand painted into the front door Paint drips around the house Interior: Overspray onto floors and cabinets Paint drips on floor throughout Missed entire sections of wall Did not paint ceiling in 2 closets (was on contract) Did not perform work that he verbally agreed to but didn't want to write into the contract Paint on door handles and outlets Biggest issue was add-on prices and failure to stick with their word. Then, when the job was "done" would not respond to phone calls. Except for billing, when he tried twist contract wording to justify huge add on costs. I can't work with or recommend people like that.

I hired David Finkelstein to paint the interior of my condo in July 2023, giving him the requested…read more$200 deposit even though he would not be able to start the job before mid-September. That was my first mistake, but I trusted him. He arrived promptly and brought a helper with him, who turned out to be very slow and sloppy, and mixed 2 colors together which required that a room had to be re-painted, after I noticed that the color was too dark. Finkelstein at first argued with me that it was the correct color, only admitting later that a mistake was made by his helper. I found Mr. F. to be a crotchety old man who complained about his wife and family, and was very difficult to work with, very argumentative. After removing wallpaper, he was supposed to prepare the walls for paint, but didn't do a proper job so paint started cracking and peeling within days. He painted the second coat immediately after the first, without any drying time whatsoever. Several areas were missed completely, indicating that most rooms didn't get the 2 coats I was charged for. He argued with me about covering my furniture, saying it wasn't necessary, but after he left I found that the entire back side of a black leather couch had dried "mud" drops which I had to wash off. His job proposal listed what he would do, in detail, supposedly justifying the price, but after work began he cut as many corners as possible. When the job was finished, he literally ran out of my condo. I felt cheated, regretted that I hired him and seriously considered Small Claims Court.

They built a wall with insulation to help protect my clients' privacy, patient privacy and installed a window so I can still feel united with my team even when on conference calls. He was able to match the color of the rest of the office despite the fact that I had no idea the original brand or name that existed. The paint looks fresh and smooth, and he touched up other places in our space as a courtesy. The job was estimated to take up to 5 business days but Adam and Justin quickly and efficiently completed the tasks in 3 1/2 days. They left the place clean and sanitized everything for us which was pretty great as my team returned. Adam volunteered to help build the new desks/chairs so our staff could come into their brand new space Monday morning and get right to work! I had a great experience with this company and I would recommend hiring them for your project, too.
