I think it was sent by door dash or uber eats or some delivery service. When I called to report the moldy cake the girl who answered had a "what do you want me to do about it attitude." I gently told her that I understood that she couldn't replace my cake but that perhaps she should check all the other cakes to make sure that you didn't sell any more moldy cakes. I understand that it had been really hot and humid and that the cakes grow mold very quickly. The girl on the phone didn't seem to care and left me with a very bad taste in my mouth that did not come from the moldy cake! read more

Their cakes aren't that great-very dry. Their tricolor cookie bars are the only thing I get from here and they are my favorite. The most recent time I got them, they seem to have been sitting a little while since they were on the dry side. Still good, just had to saturate them in milk. I have a friend in Norwalk Hospital with severe injuries. I tried to get bagels delivered and was told that to deliver to Norwalk it would have to be something like a sheet cake. After going back and forth with an employee 3 times, the owner got on the phone. He told me I wanted him to lose money and said I would need to spend $70 to make it worth his while to deliver there. Admittedly I was less than pleasant to him - but you know, when someone wants something delivered to a HOSPITAL, they're not in their best form. After a lecture about how hard it is to be a small business and the pressures he's facing - and then refusing to work with me to meet their minimum amount (which I was willing to spend) to deliver to the hospital - he hung up on me. Now I have to stress about finding food for my friends. And it's too bad - I would have been thrilled to buy local. read more

I am disappointed in the service! I called yesterday before noon to place an order for 3 loaves of specialty bread for pick up today. When I went in however, they only had 2. I saw my order slip - it was clearly written for 3. I was told who ever took my order must not have given it to the bakers. WHAT?!?! And that I could settle for a loaf that I didn't order. Disappointing that a simple order wasn't done correctly - I'm glad I wasn't placing a big order or an order for a cake or something - what would have happened if that didn't get into the bakers? read more

What is the secret ingredient in Beldotti Bakery's amazingly delicious orange cake? I'm an avid cake baker, and the perfect orange cake has long eluded me. Now that I've tried Beldotti's orange cake, it may be time to throw in the towel. Moist. Check. Find grained. Check. Hypnotic natural orange flavor. CHECK. The only down side to this product is its addictive quality. DO NOT attempt to have one thin slice. The cake will call you back into its orangey goodness, and you will slice away until you've eaten the entire thing. Don't say I didn't warn you. Not only are the cookies delicious but the staff that loaded our cars were friendly! we ordered over 70 cookie trays and they made everything seamless! Went in at a late hour looking for a special birthday token of petits fours, but they were sold out at that hour. The young counter woman, and sad to say that I forgot her name, was so helpful & pleasant; she quickly guided me to macrons and Venetian Tri-colori cake, also made of almond flour & marzipan. The birthday gift was a great success, we'll be going back to Beldotti for more macrons and Venetians, a well as petits fours, and the sales woman did not lose the sale. Happy, happy all around! Amazing customer service - I ordered from Uber Eats on a Friday for delivery on Mother's Day Sunday only to have the order canceled right before it was supposed to be delivered. I called Beldotti's and I believe spoke with owner who was amazing and so apologetic for something that wasn't his fault (they aren't even a merchant on uber eats) and who quickly reacted and told me what he had to offer and deliver in the hour!! On top of that the reviews were that the lemon meringue pie and pastries were amazing! Incredibly obnoxious owner or mgr. I'm assuming that's who he was (short, bearded) at this "bakery's" booth at Rowayton farmer's market. And it hogged up a lot of space too. I saw him treating a young customer ordering a sandwich unbelievably rudely and he muttered something under his breath to an employee right in front of her. The girl was being very nice so needless to say this turned me (and lots of people standing around) OFF. We walked away. And will let our neighbors know too. From what I hear their bread is nothing to write home about anyway. Save your money. This guy should leave the farmer's markets space to the REAL and respectable local farms and purveyors and not take up valuable space where nice people with quality foods could be. read more

I've been shopping at Beldotti's since I moved to Stamford in 2004, although they have been around a lot longer than that. It's a family run business that offers a great variety of high quality products - pastries, cakes, cookies, breads . . and more. We buy our bread and pastries here for all the holidays, and we buy all of our birthday cakes here as well. I also stop in regularly to grab a cup of coffee and say hi to one of the Beldotti family members who are always there. It should also be noted that the Beldottis have always been very generous to local schools, teams, charities, causes, events, etc. In addition to their great products, they are great supporters of the Stamford community. read more

Best bakery in Stamford and probably all of CT. Everything is always fresh, staff is very helpful and it's a great place to meet a friend for coffee and a pastry in the morning. Personal favorites are the Strawberry shortcake in the summer, the blueberry squares and the cranberry pecan bread. My only complaint is that they don't take credit cards. They do have an ATM in the front but there are days when I just want to buy them a square reader :). read more

Best Coffee in Town. No doubt. They have the best selection - I like mixing a half/half of light roast and dark roast and then a drop of something flavored (blueberry or pumpkin) since I drink my coffee black. Plus - its cheap; only $2 for a large AND they give you a card where if you buy 6, you get one free. Best coffee at the best price. I'm not a pastry guy but black and whites are always good as is the crumb cake. Some of the stuff in the case can be disappointing but the challah is good, bagels are decent and its a good local Stamford place. I"m a regular. Cash only FYI. read more

Excellent. Focaccia Bread with caramelized onions and roasted tomato in Center is amazing. The most delicious focaccia bread I've ever had. Great, big assortment of Parve Baked Goods. Comes in handy for religious reason and dietary restrictions due to allergies. Delicious cookies, pastries, assortments of breads. Come in the A.M., as a lot of wonderful treats will be gone later in the day, as have a lot of faithful customers. I love this place. Been going for last 11 years.
