I am sad to update my review to 1 star after my latest experience(s) here. 1. I believe I got food poisoning from here, and reported it to the establishment. I got extremely, violently sick for 2 weeks and shared everything with the restaurant so they could look into it and prevent other patrons from getting ill. Instead, they did not respond to my report and completely ignored it. I the reported them to the city inspector, who went to investigate them, and they did tracing of my case. 2. The first floor smells like sewage, and had been smelling like that for many months, if not close to a year. The city inspector told me that they notified the restaurant and the restaurant said they fixed the smell -- I went back in and it still smelled like sewage. So, the restaurant had flat out LIED to the investigator about the bathroom smell on the first floor. 3. The floor and chairs/ seats are dirty with stains. They absolutely need to clean way more. The safety, sanitation, and hygiene in this restaurant is one of the worst I've seen and experienced. If you value your life and health, avoid this place. read more

Coco Cafe in Stamford is such a fun spot. The first thing you notice is how beautiful and clean it is, literally every corner looks like it was designed for photos. If you're into aesthetic, Instagrammable cafés, this is an easy win. The food was fresh and came out fast, from the omelet and toast to the salad and desserts. Everything tasted as good as it looked, and the tea and coffee were perfect for a slow brunch vibe. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole experience felt relaxed and easy. Had a wonderful time here at this café had lunch with my 12-year-old daughter, which was super cute. She always wanted to try this way so we came here on a snowy no school day which was awesome. Located right the heart of downtown Stamford coco cafe has been on my list of places to try. Aesthetically pleasing, but lacking culinary flair. This place is a Barbie dream house with pink walls, velvet seating and various art deco that provide the space for the perfect Instagram photo. However, the food did not match. I went for brunch and they offered various breakfast and lunch options, as well as middle eastern options. I ordered the basic two eggs over medium (they came not cooked that way) with turkey bacon that arrived cold. The cafe was very cold so both our plates got cold before we can even enjoy it. I also ordered herb roasted potatoes which were good, as well as the dipping sauce it came with but the pieces were very big. VERY generous for a side option. A plus was the coco latte I ordered which came pink matching the theme with a heart in the center. So delicious! It had a subtle strawberry taste and not an artificial one. I ordered one to go! I would like to give this place another chance given they do have other options and might have better luck. read more

I visited Coco Café in Stamford after seeing all the videos of its dreamy, rose filled interior. The space really is beautiful with neon signs that say "Coco" and "Love Life," disco balls and chandeliers overhead, walls covered in roses and heart wallpaper, and a pink telephone booth by the windows with a nice city view. It's perfect if you're into cute photo opps. I ordered the Coco's Pink Latte, hoping for something as tasty as it looked online, but in person it was just a flat pink, no contrast ombré and tasted mostly like watery milk. I tried my man's salted caramel Oreo shake, which was more sweet and flavorful. For food, I got the Chicken Shawarma sandwich as is and added spicy, but it wasn't spicy at all and the garlic didn't stand out, it just felt bland and overloaded with hummus. My sister had a better experience with her buffalo chicken wrap. The fries on the side were actually great, hot, salty, and crispy. We also tried the falafels with pita and hummus, which were okay but forgettable, and I tasted the mixed kabob platter, which was a bit dry. For dessert, we shared a Dubai chocolate, which was the best part of the meal. Overall, Coco Café is a fun place to check out for the atmosphere and Instagram pics, but the food and drinks fell short for me. It's worth a stop for the vibe and desserts. read more

This place is so good!! Their pink latte is yummy (i prefer it hot but iced is great as well). The inside upstairs is super cute and pink and the perfect girly brunch/bday/celebration spot. The food is so good as well. I usually get the breakfast sandwiches or wraps. The fries are some of the best seasoned fries ive had in a while as well. The cozy ambiance at Coco Café is what first caught our attention from the street. The service was great and our food came out quickly. The young woman working was so friendly and attentive, always checking in and moving from table to table. Coco cafe is definitely the prettiest cafe I've ever been to! Located in downtown Stamford, it's a great spot to meet up with friends. There's so much pink and plenty of cute photo ops! We weren't immediately greeted when we walked in, so after a couple of minutes, we seated ourselves and waited a bit for someone to come over. The staff was very nice once the did. I had the taro latte and shakshouka, and my friend had an omelette. We also shared the French toast. We both enjoyed our breakfasts, but the French toast was a little underwhelming- nothing special, and the bread was very thin. I probably wouldn't get it again. The cafe is in a convenient location and has lots of menu options. I'd love to come back and try their lunch next time! read more

The food didn't take too long to arrive. The chicken in the wrap was a little dry, but the hot sauce and combo of bleu and mozzarella cheeses helped even out the dryness. The flavor of the chicken itself was actually really delish. I do wish there had been an option for breaded chicken, but I don't think they offer that(next time, I'll ask).I also prefer spinach wraps over flour, but again, I didn't see that as an option. The hot sauce was spicy just the way I love it! The bleu cheese was a bit watery.The fries were piping hot & tasty! I also sampled the falafel & thought it had a burst of flavor. I have been dying to try out coco cafe for a while now and I finally made it . Located in downtown Stamford this cute pink offer shop located on the second floor is an instagramers dream . Perfect spot for a photoop with your girls ! While grabbing a coffee or having brunch ! The service was great you can order at the front cashier or order from your table ! The food came out quickly. I got the mocha latte which was delicious and a chocolate crosiant, I felt like I was back in Paris ! So glad I finally made it ! I went here for brunch with 2 of my friends, the ambiance was beautiful, a lot of places to take pictures. We ordered a lot of food, and it was all really good, but at least 2 plates were cold, which I wasn't a fan of. I had ordered an omelette and my friend had fries, those both came out at the same time as everything else and seemed like they'd been sitting for 20 mins bc it wasn't even mildly warm. Other and that the food was very good, I recommend their Belgian waffles. The service was okay, towards the end of our visit we were trying to take cute pictures and our waitress was almost rushing us out, standing over us to pay the bill, asking to take drinks out of our hands, it was very frustrating and seemed odd. The place is gorgeous. They put a lot of work into it! I drove an hour to go here I was really expecting a lot out of this cafe. For pictures and stuff it's amazing they have a small little booth and a chair to take photos. It's just all together pretty and has a good aesthetic. Food wise it's terrible! Ordered a matcha and let me tell you it came with exactly 4 ice cubes. FOUR ICE CUBES like who gives 4 ice cubes. It melted in under 5 min and the matcha wasn't that good it just tasted like milk. Ordered a crepe and it was doughy and smelt like eggs, only took a couple bites and left it. It also had strawberries and other berries, but the strawberries had gone bad and you can tell bc it tasted weird. Price is good and customer service is ok. Maybe if they made their menu better it would be great. Places that spend a lot of time and money on decorations usually don't have the best food and this is one of them. read more

I last visited on the first week of opening so perhaps business then was lighter and it's good to create a good impression with customers therefore myself and a friend were given full attention. It's been 10 months since then and I'm not quite pleased with my most recent visit. I was able to find parking on the street which was lucky, parking is metered in all days except holidays and Sundays. Now here's the reasons I'm decreasing my rating. 1. The website with City Market is no longer existent and needs updating. It should not be listed if it is no longer active. Everything is referenced on Instagram. 2. Nowhere does it say that you need to make a reservation on their bio. Google or any other platform does not indicate this. Apparently they are running a promotion due to Valentine's Day so they are requiring reservations. There's also no mention of walk-ins are welcome. Well, without one, you'd have to wait more than an hour. If you also paid for parking, that's more than half of what you are allowed on the parking meter. 3. If you are running an event and RSVPs are required, at least place a host stand to welcome guests so that no one is trying to figure out whether to seat themselves or anything else. 4. The staff was also unorganized promising a table to walk-ins without confirming the table was required for reservations. Probably the off chance I'd return, IF I'd return is NOT on a weekend and definitely NOT during any holidays. read more

My girlfriend recommended this place. We came here on father's day to try it out. It's decorated very nicely. Floral designs all over give this place a glamorous look. They have some colorful unique phone booths on the wall as decor. The cafe is very Spacious. Plenty of seating to choose from. I looked at the menu from a qr code available on the table. But they have a physical menu aswell. I started with the falafel appetizer. 5 pieces of crispy falafel with hummus. The falafel was hot, crunchy and delicious. for the entree i had the mixed kebob platter. It came with yellow rice salad and both chicken and beef kebobs. It was very satisfying. I mixed it all together And everything complemented each other. I got to try the French fries too. They were seasoned very well. I could eat an order of them alone. For my drink i had the salted caramel oreo latte with coconut milk. Dont need to say anymore on that one. I sampled the chicken wrap but it tasted alright. It just wasn't for me. Beautiful place for girls luncheon. They have the Resturant full of fun decor with flowers and telephone booth. It was fun to take picture. Service was amazing we had a wonderful waitress pleasant was very please with the way we were greeted and she was very accommodating. We got chicken shawarma platter yummmmmm. Came from New Haven County to meet up with my girls from New York since Stamford is always a great mid-point. We decided to try Cococafe, drawn in by its cozy atmosphere and cute aesthetic. While the ambiance and attentive service were definite highlights, the food and drinks were a mixed experience. My salad was missing key ingredients like tzatziki and couscous, and the beef shawarma wrap, though decent, felt unbalanced with too much meat and no side especially for its $16 price tag. The chai latte was overwhelmingly milky with barely any chai flavor, and the red velvet latte was underwhelming, tasting just like a regular usweetened latte with an unclear reason for its color. Their "famous" Dubai chocolate was decent but didn't quite compare to the authentic Dubai chocolate I've had in Turkey. On a brighter note, the tiramisu was a standout, and the red velvet cake was enjoyable. Our wait time was very fast, and I later noticed that while the website doesn't make it obvious, you can call to make reservations it's just listed at the bottom. One thing that stood out was how popular the spot was for little girls' birthday celebrations; there were quite a few happening while we were there, which added to the playful charm of the space. Despite some inconsistencies, the friendly service, comfortable seating, and cute atmosphere make it a solid choice, especially for a fun, Instagram-worthy outing. I came here for Mother's Day for a family of 6. The ambiance is gorgeous and truly the only reason this restaurant is striving. We were seated pretty fast and had to guess that the QR codes were for ordering. We were asked if we needed menus as we were a little confused on the ordering process. They are a non alcoholic restaurant which is fine but unexpected. The food comes 40 minutes late, and every single plate was either missing ingredients, messed up, or not what we asked for. The cheeseburgers came with no cheese, although it is included in the photo. They provided one napkin for a table of six. We asked for utensils and instead of the waiter asking if it was for the table, she proceeds to bring one set. All of our beverages were either watered down or just milk in our milkshakes. Mo was very nice as he helped us with our stroller when we were going down the stairs. Other than that, the service and food were atrocious. I have tried out Coco Cafe 3 times, so here is my honest review. I really love the ambiance, I mean who doesn't? It's very beautiful, girly, and pink. Flowers everywhere, trendy signs. I really like the Mediterranean food they serve, it is plentiful and delicious. Their coffee is good and the latte art is pretty. So the main problem? And I know they know this. The kitchen being downstairs in the City Market and the workers having to walk up and down said stairs is ineffective. Also, I think that's pretty dangerous. Not to mention the kitchen is also used by City Market customers. So that means the cooks are doing double duty! I love the concept, but a kitchen simply needs to be added upstairs in the Coco Cafe itself. And if not, then fine, but only serve premade meals and keep the coffee going. Like I said, their drinks are really good. But that Coco Signature "latte" has got to go. Quite frankly, it's gross. I get it, it's pink so it's on theme. Make a hibiscus drink or something else your signature drink then. Also please add in an elevator or ramp to make this wheelchair/stroller accessible! While the food was okay, cleanliness in this location has a lot to be desired. I went for Brunch on the weekend fairly early, while walking up the steps it was clear they haven't been swept or cleaned anytime recently. The handle bar was sticky and clearly not cleaned either. Had I not been meeting a group this would have been my first inkling to turn away. While the servers were extremely attentive and kind, the seating was stained, the floors were not cleaned and overall I was really disappointed in the whole experience. Looked for some gelato near the Stamford Hospital and unfortunately I chose this place. The tiramisu was abysmal - icy, with a nasty aftertaste. The cherry was almost as bad. I should of known I made a bad decision when I walked in to find that the gelato shared space with a falafel take out and no one was present at the gelato counter. The only good part of this disappointing experience was the easy street parking across the street in front of a construction site- 15 min for $0.75. read more

Very cute and girly ambiance and decor. My boyfriend brought me here and he enjoyed his meal. A family of girls came in while we were dining all dressed in pink which I thought was super cute. Instagram worthy but also yummy good/beverages. I just HAD to try the rose drink and the matcha. Matcha was good quality and tasted amazing. The rose drink tastes great, but I do see how other patrons have confused this beverage for a coffee... it's not a coffee the same way matcha is not. I am very disappointed in Coco Cafe. My friend and I were excited to go from seeing it on Instagram, however, the food and service is extremely poor. We ordered the Coco Latte which we didn't realize was not a coffee drink- they should have descriptions of their drinks on the menu. We ordered shots of espresso to add to them, but they were never brought out to us. I had the chicken panini which was fine. My friend ordered the Coco egg and cheese but asked for no cheese since she has a dietary restriction for medical reasons. They brought out the wrong order and she kindly sent it back and clarified what she asked for. The sandwich was brought out again 15-20 minutes later, still with cheese, and she was unable to eat it. The server never came back to check on us either. One of the workers brought us 2 free macaroons and they covered the bill which was appreciated, however, the restaurant was mostly empty and there was more than enough staff. I worked in the restaurant business for years so I am very understanding of mistakes, but this was unacceptable. I'm disappointed in the lack of communication and speed of service because this is a new establishment. I wanted to love Coco Cafe, but I will not be back. I don't recommend even if you're just going for the aesthetic/photo ops because the food and service is not worth your money. read more
