I am writing to express my huge disappointment with the service I received during my visit.Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the standards I expected based on your reputation. Specifically, as a returning customer, I didn't receive any warm reception but being blamed on I booked wrong hair coloring appointment as soon as I sat down. I was blamed on booked wrong hair coloring appointment. And they said they will still do it for me but without a styling . I get it and I agreed. What was ridiculous that after coloring, they left my hair wet and not drying throughly which I 've never had such experience in any of the salon in the world!!!!!!!!I was extremely frustrated. And I just checked the bill , they were charged for styling fee. How ridiculous that is. I've never write anything bad reviews for any business before and this is my first time. I had to express my frustration. I believe in giving businesses a chance to address concerns. This is the best haircut I've had since moving to NJ from California. And I am picky. Literally no other salon nearby that can cut Asian hair well. Aki is a wizard. He knew exactly what to do after I showed him some reference photos and took care to explain his process. I feel like a new person! He took of a few inches and what feels like a couple years of my age lol added amazing face framing layers and texture. No wonder the waitlist time is insane. read more

I booked an appointment for me and my son and I really wanted a place where the family could go and get a haircut together. This is exactly the place, Aki's salon is very spacious, stylish, calming and very clean. This was our first haircut since the pandemic and so I was very nervous about going indoors and the precautions being taken. I felt very safe being in this salon and the COVID-19 precautions they took - temperature check, mask wearing, cleaning the tools after every client and the place was pristine! They also don't overbook, you have to be there on your designated time and if you're a bit early, just wait in the car. The salon is inside a strip mall so parking is not a problem. We got our haircut with junior stylist Mari and she was fantastic. She was so patient and engaging with my son and very meticulous. She did an amazing job! As for myself, it was exactly what I wanted and more - sleek and sophisticated haircut. I've found our family salon! Next time, I'm taking my husband. Thanks for a great experience. read more

I have been going to Aki for haircut for the past four years when he worked at a different salon in Fort Lee and even after I moved to Seattle. Super excited that he now opens his own place!! He listens to what I have to say about my hair every time and makes great suggestions when it comes to color, layer, etc. Over the years I have tried many different styles and Aki always delivered what I had in mind. The new salon is at a great location (huge parking lot) and close to Princeton downtown! I was also happy to see that Aki brought the whole salon experience with him, beautiful scented and good quality hair products, clean but cozy setup, nice touch of head and shoulder massage.
