Super convenient location! After a long day of exploring and eating waffles, I was ready for a snack (aka Belgian fries). Not really much to say except that the service was fast and the fries were actually pretty good. Definitely not the best fries I've ever had, but also not the worst! I only ordered plain fries (I know, I'm boring), so I can't speak on behalf of the rest of the menu. Side note: this place is cash only (or at least used to be)

no double deep fry, but still pretty good.

I don't recommend the mayonaise as the locals do

They don't do the second deep fry as you're supposed to for true Frite cooking. Still pretty good though...but you can go elsewhere for cheaper and better. I don't dig the mayonaise as the local do, gross!

Maybe this was because we ordered our fries at 11:30 pm, but the fries were the worst I had in so long. Inside dry and outside oily, it was clear it was sitting there for the whole day, it was stale. They use polystyrene dish for sausage and their special fries, I didn't feel I was in a developed country. Hot food in plastic dish? I am happy they accept card.

This is a cash only place. Favorite of the 3 times I had fries in Belgium. It was super fresh, super fluffy, and super crispy. The curry ketchup was very delicious while the garlic aioli was just OK. I'd suggest going with the mayo if these are your first fries in Brussels.

My first experience with Belgian frites. Not bad. Even though these two stores anchoring a busy corner was clobbered with people. Ordering is easy since you simply walk up to the counter facing the street and be prepared to elect from the sauces. I chose Andalouse because I thought it sounded like Andouille. I like spicy. The french fries were good but lacked salt. However, I don't care since I was in Brussels! Inexpensive and a good way to sample the fare that makes Brussels quite popular. The frites stands in Belgium do not only specialize in french fries. They are the equivalent to our fast food joints so also serve burgers, hot dogs, skewers, and meatballs. I did not order a burger but watched one leave the counter while waiting for my french fries. I would liken it to Jack in The Box. 4 stars, since I found an even better frites place closer to Le Grande Place.

A very touristy location but great fast food. The fries here were delicious and crispy, an some of the better ones I have had. The curry ketchup is a must. As with most of the fries in the area, they come in a paper cone with a tiny fork for convenience. The wurst here should not be missed, it comes on a bed of onions in a plastic container, and is moist and flavorful. Overall a cheap, delicious and quick stop.

My first Belgian fries and I was not disappointed. In fact, I went back 4 times in a period of two days. They tasted great and were definitely a favorite. I liked them plain and for the price, 2,60, I found it reasonable!

This is a fast food restaurant where you could either take out or be served indoors. Came here for Belgium fries, though nothing special about it. One of the waiter was a bit rude when I asked if we could sit down since I didn't know how it worked. When we were seated, another waiter was great at taking our order. The wings were crispy and flavorful, the sausage was just okay. I wouldn't go over the top about this place, but if you want something quick and semi tasty. Come here, if not, explore somewhere else.

Simply delicious, surely try the mayonnaise on your fries. Although mostly tourists visit it, I frequently go there because it is so good.

He reminded us of a combination of Neil Fak (from The Bear) and Lazlow (from What We Do in the Shadows). He was coordinating the line, seating, and gave outstanding recommendations, as well as praise, when we picked our wine. We were quoted about 45 minutes to wait, as they don't take reservations. A two-top opened up inside and Julian was concerned that it would be too hot, so he made me go inside to check first. Thankfully, it was right by the open area leading to outside, so we took it and were seated in about 20 minutes, rather than 45. The place was packed the entire time we were there; its reputation certainly precedes it. Good energy and beautifully decorated with stunning art inside. Carbonades a la Biere (beef stew; 19.45 Euros) is their speciality and was delicious! So reasonably priced for the flavor and te size of the dish! After Julian mentioned that the lamb is the best dish on the menu, there was no question that I was ordering it. Jarret d'Agneau Roti (Roasted Lamb Shank; 27.35 Euros) was so very good! Full of Rosemary and so tender! As Julian was running by, I quickly asked him: "Tiramisu or Tarte Tatin?" No hesitation, he replied, "Tarte Tatin." I wasn't sure if he actually put the order in for us or not, but then it arrived at our table and it was delicious! Pear Tarte (8.65 Euros) with a side of ice cream. Not too sweet, with lovely spices in the pears. Cash only, always a line, but totally worth it!

You likely will see a line for dinner. Don't worry it does go pretty fast and likely faster than…read morewhat they may quote. The stew was fantastic! Tender meat bursting with flavor with some mashed potatoes to soak up the sauce. I enjoyed the lamb as well, however a bit too much rosemary for me. Get the pear dessert. The soft and sweet pear coupled with the ice cream was one of the best desserts I've had in some time.

No reservations, so you have to wait in line. Luckily, the line moved pretty quickly and we were able to be seated inside. -service was great. The fabulously dressed flamboyant gentleman was kind and helpful. The sassy woman was hilarious! -Portions are pretty decently sized and priced fairly Why three stars? I just didn't enjoy anything that we ordered. Sadly, it was my least favorite meal that we had in Belgium. Based on all the reviews, I think it's clear that it's not the place per se, but what I was looking for. That being said, I still must be honest. What we ordered: Cheddar Croquettes (2 for 14 Euros): Just ok and this was one of the things that I felt was overpriced Carpaccio of Smoked Beef with White Truffle Oil (18 Euros): Again, just ok Meatloaf with "Jack Pepper" sauce (26 Euros): "Jack Pepper" means something different in Brussels. It was basically a peppercorn gravy. I wasn't a fan, but Jim G. enjoyed it. With this, we had frites and a small side salad. I know many people recommend that Flemish Beef Stew, but we already had that at Fin de Siecle, and I couldn't imagine that any place would top it, so we didn't get it here. Ultimately, this place isn't for me, but I seem to be in the minority.
