The venue is spacious and has great views of the water along with tables for seating/eating. There is a parking area steps away from the venue. The Mooncake Fest was a great event and the area was large enough to accommodate guests. All in all, South Point is a great area to host local events.

And my time in Baltimore led to me experiencing a better than good Ticket Master (I've covered a lot about how I feel about Ticket Bastard as a whole) that I'm surprised to see so few reviews for on here! I got my ticket for Spoon and The Beths through a good deal on StubHub, and I didn't get drinks at the venue. While I was also curious about the whole Powerplant Live facility that the venue was a part of, I decided to check out the Ministry of Brewing (review coming later) before the show instead of experiencing anything else inside of it. So my review is based on what I did experience, which was a lot of good. From the staff who helped me enter, to seeing staff pass out water to people who needed it, and a free water cooler being available at the bar, it showed that the staff went the extra mile. While I would have liked the Nevermore to have a bit more Edgar Allen Poe theming about it, I did like the Poe-inspired art that I did see. For a Philly comparison, I'd compare Nevermore Hall to The Fillmore and Brooklyn Bowl for being a good-sized general admission venue that had plenty of good spaces to move around in without having an obstructed view of the stage. The sound was also very impressive, which definitely added to the great experience. With upcoming shows like Chance the Rapper, Phantogram, and Castle Rat, there's a lot of good reasons to check this place out!

The stairs to the balcony are there so I don't know why they made entry so cramped on purpose. It's always been a poorly shaped venue and this move by them made it worse. It seems like this was done to add a lounge area which doesn't really work. Sold out shows are clearly oversold to the point people are uncomfortable. The stage is too short for the venue size so more than half the crowd can barely see. It feels like the show is oversold so people will pay another $20 for "premium balcony seating". On top of the Ticketmaster fees, that is a ridiculous extra cost when many regular tix there are only around $40. Probably the worst music venue in baltimore but when you're associated with live nation, it's not a surprise. It solely exists to maximize profit.
