Good store with good selection. Prices range from low to high depending on what you are looking for. We were asked several times if we needed any help. I didn't know that they sell pre-owned Louis Vuitton bags here! Also, they didn't have any wheelchairs to borrow. Most other stores have 3 or 4 and this stores claimed to have 1 but I never saw anyone in the store using one even after walking around a few times. read more

It is nice to have a department store near home, but I have to say that this store is in desperate need of some refresh and organization. Don't be fooled by the nice looking entrance areas. I've been twice in the last couple of months and each time I walk away frustrated that it took so much effort to find what I was looking for. For example, in the petite section it is over half full of clearance racks that are packed and "organized" by color rather than size. Not helpful. Everything in multiple sections of the store are crowded and mixed up making it hard to find a particular size or brand. It is like having to walk through a maze to get anywhere. I went into the dressing room area today and while it wasn't overrun with unwanted clothes, the floor is separating and the area just looks tired and old. Obviously they don't have enough help or maybe they just don't care about the general experience walking through and using the store for customers. It has been disappointing to see the decline of a once nice store. read more

These restrictive, inconvenient policies are not clearly stated anywhere on the site. Unless you notice the issue within 13 minutes of placing your order and it's during customer service hours, you have no options. Why aren't these policies and shipping timelines disclosed clearly? This is on of my favorite Belk stores because they have such friendly people working there. The store is small and quaint so it feels like a little community when you get inside. I appreciate the organization of the store too. Every this neat and placed in logical order. It is conveniently located and there is ample parking and easy road access. If you order online, the pickup is very easy to get to. The sales are not to be missed. read more

Being from California, we don't have these stores. I decided to try to buy my Estée Lauder double wear foundation here as it said they sold it there. I went in and was pleasantly surprised that there was a sales going on on ALL makeup, 15% off. Including the "prestige" makeup. Estée Lauder is no longer sold at the Ultas here and you would have to go to the mall to get the foundation. I highly doubt that they ever have sales. The store was decent order, looked like they had a decent selection of shoes. I looked over in the junior/women's sections and they had decent brands, although I didn't many people that were around my age. All in all, I would come back based solely on possibly getting another discount on this $43 foundation read more

If you are going to shop at Belk, please go see Denzel at the Clinique Counter. He has great makeup tips and really knows his product. As an older woman who never wore makeup, be answered all of my questions patiently and thoroughly, gave me a demonstration and made me feel like he was my friend who wanted to gave me great makeup advise as opposed to a salesperson which of course is the ultimate salesperson . Time spent with him will be pleasant and you will buy something because you will really want to! It is free gift time at Clinique at Belk so there is that plus also. The Limited Brand is sold in the Belk now and their stuff is super cute. They also have jammie sets (pajamas) that you WILL want to wear out lol. Lots of pre holiday sales going on now. read more

Great customer service! Twice, I have needed a blazer and other men's formalwear for my teen son. The ladies in that department are truly amazing. They really know their stuff, down to which brand shirt will fit my son's body type. And, he will listen to them! Which is worth a lot!!!!! I have always enjoyed shopping at Belk. The sales associates are always very helpful and a joy. Especially the ladies at the MAC department.. they're excellent at their job, always helpful, and professional. Even when their department is very busy, they always do their best. BUT Belk's management was a nightmare. The manager I was in contact with (Roxanne, I think) was INCREDIBLY RUDE. Not only was she the definition of rudimentary, she was uneducated on the coupons that the company sends out to the customers via email. You would think as a manger of a department store you should be well aware of coupons, promotions, etc. Well Roxanne clearly was not trained properly as well as misinformed on how to treat customers with respect. She clearly didn't want to be bothered with questions or try help resolve any situation. Belk is a great store but they may want to reconsider their management before it tarnishes their brand. read more

GOOD LORD, this store needs help. The Men's section looks more disorganized than a WALMART. I pay more for the experience and quality, stuffed clothing in shelves and wrinkled clothing does not equate to this. read more
