I called them back three days in a row for the information about that implement and it turns out that no one bothered to check into my inquiry. I wanted to buy local and was sadly disappointed. He was very accommodating during this first meeting. I came back about 6 weeks later, ready to buy. I was absolutely specific in what I wanted based on our initial conversation and my follow up research. Apparently ... he didn't understand. He sent 2 bids plus a bid for some other customer. Both way over my budget. Apparently designed for his use? I called to express my surprise. I was told he was going on a long deserved vacation (not a problem) but another person would take care of my issue. That person sent me another bid. Still too high. Still not what I asked for. He said, "...well, that's what we have in stock ... AT ALL GARTON STORES ... there is a brand new model, a 2401, but we can't even get them yet, they're so new. Maybe 6 months." Disappointed!! 2 days later, on a drive north, I stopped at NorCal Tractor in Redding CA (review seperate) on a whim. I gave them my original specs. Sales Rep said, "Uhhh ... that's a really, really old model. We don't even have any of them in our rental fleet!!" But ... they did have 4 of the "impossible to get" D2401 Kubota tractors. That was a Friday at noon. On the following Thursday, NorCal delivered my D2401DT tractor. BTW, did I mention they are 170 miles away? And you know what, I'll probably use them for service even though they told me I could go local. I don't know about the other Garton Tractor stores but, their Ukiah store is off my Christmas list!!

Then i asked for help again, the person i asked, tried to help, but i could tell he really didnt know specifics enough to help me, but an unexpected employee "Matt" came in for a few minutes for whatever reason, and this guy asked Matt if he had time to help me. he was honest and said no, he was in a hurry and "it was his day off" He approached me im sure hoping he could answer my questions quickly and get going. They try to get your equipment out as soon as they can, but being the only shop keeps them busy. Most important thing to me is that they actually try to fix your equipment and not replace it.
