I didn't have any specific preferences, all I said was "something pretty that a mom would like, maybe a few roses in there?" and she asked me what price point I wanted and what time I would like to pick them up; I trusted her opinion. I personally hate flowers because I have pretty intense allergies and do not believe that, for the price, they are a good use of monetary resources. That being said, I realize that if everyone thought like me, much of the economy would collapse. Peonies are ridiculously expensive and difficult to obtain this time of year, thanks to the proximity with Mother's Day weekend and general scarcity. I called Michael in a panic on May 9, advising that I would require peonies by May 10. Michael really scrambled to get me flowers. For that, I must thank him. Do not use this florist! I recently ordered a bouquet and was ripped off! Check pics to see what they actually deliver... Ordered for my moms 80th bday. She was happy to get anything but I was angry I didn't get what I ordered. Women at shop told me when I ordered, no problem - we can do that arrangement. Obviously not. When I called and spoke with owner- he was rude, spoke over me, did not listen to what I was saying. He told me they just fill the order based on price. It doesn't matter what the online pics look like. So why have pics to choose from? Then after sounding annoyed with me that I dare complain, he offered to take off $20. He acted as if he was insulted to have to do so. The bouquet was not worth half of what I paid. You look and decide. He then said if I want, he can go take back the flowers and give me my money back! Bell Bay Florist is one of the few florist left, in the neighborhood. They do beautiful arrangements and deliver them promptly. Bell Bay also has live plants and will deliver them too. When my brother passed two years ago, they delivered a peace lily plant to me and it is still alive & beautiful. Each time I take care of it, it reminds me of my late brother. Bell Bay was where I went for my Mother's Day purchase. I ordered two weeks in advance and it was delivered the day of. When my mom was not home, they called me to let me know and we made arrangements later for the flowers to be re-delivered. When I was on the phone with who I presume was a manager or owner, he was really nice, breaking down how if something didn't go correctly with the re-delivery they'll do what they need to make sure everything is completed to our liking.
