I ordered 450$ of top soil and realized after putting it down it was filled with glass. when I called to let them know there excuse of not refunding me money was I waited too long to call. I had it covered with a tarp until I was able to use it because of the weather and where would all this glass come from? it was also loaded with pete moss besides. i will never go there again! They are rude and not worth my time. read more

The garden center and plants are wonderful. Just not the staff. Staff shouldn't talk politics as loudly as they were! Definitely a turn off for a company. First time I've experienced this. I agree with everyone's comments. The place is really wonderful. But you're a business and should be pretty neutral in your loud opinions so you don't stave off customers. It's a store not a political ground. I too Remember the maskless guy leering at the mask wearers and talking about his believes basically referring to the mask wearers as the sheep. I really like this place, but going there to be greeted by a dude who has no mask, that keeps me from going back. It's one man, the others (everyone else) was wearing a mask, EXCEPT this one worker in his 30's/40's tall. So, fix that, Bell, and we would be back there. I've gone to Bell's many times over the years and have always had great service. This time I went with my partner and we were discussing plants and shrubs with an older man who is one of the owners. I noticed they had palm trees and wondered who bought them in the northeast. He then began to talk about how Trump created great jobs so people could build giant home to accommodate palm trees during the winter. As soon as he began the Trump rant we tuned out and left. Politics should be left outside the business. They lost me. read more

First time visiting Bell Nurseries yesterday and had a great experience. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their stock as well as what would grow best in the kind of environment we were looking to plant in. Selection was great, quality of the plants was fantastic and the price was very competitive. Another great perk was the owner pays extra to ensure organic fertilization of the stock plants (bee friendly!) as well as biodegradable packaging. We will be back!! read more

While they do have a nice variety, their prices are ridiculous. I bought 6 ornamental shrubs elsewhere, I needed 3 more but they sold out. Found them at Bells, same brand (tag on plant) I paid $50 per shrub at Allis and $80 per shrub at Bells. I mentioned to owner who looked at me like too bad and said nothing. read more
