I would give a 0 star if I could- here is why. Came in with someone in the family having excruciating pain spasms. The diagnosis performed was accurate but not a single pain killer was prescribed. I understand it is "drug free" clinic but when you see someone in so much pain you at least make sure they refer a 'regular' doctor as well. Generally it is 'regular' doctors who recommend chiropractors, so why can it not be the other way around? We eventually went to a Urgent Care clinic and were recommended not to go back to the chiro as it seemed to be doing more harm than good. We needed a letter from the doc to help us get a refund on some tickets as we couldn't make it due to the ailment of the person with us. The doctor promised multiple times to write the letter but eventually stopped responding to emails or coming to the phone- how very professional! Huh! read more

Dr. Paul and staff are AMAZING and have helped me get through a most painful disk episode! After about 3 weeks of treatment, I am close to my normal, pain-free self thanks to these skilled professionals! I am now SOLD on chiropractic care (Truthfully I was doubtful, with a previous chiropractic nightmare) - however I will ONLY go to Dr. Paul and his excellent staff of massage therapists! :-). I *love* Dr. Mark Gray! Several years ago I was experiencing intense (what turned out to be) psiatic nerve pain shooting down my entire right leg. I was only about 25 at the time. My friend referred me to see her chiropractor, Dr. Gray (some call him Dr. Mark). Within 6 months I was pain free and my spine was no longer curving like some crazy scoliosis ridden freak (that was a contributing factor -- not scoliosis, but my spine was whacked out due to stressed and strained muscles). I have been seeing him about twice a month ever since. He's super nice and funny and he'll work out payments for you if you're strapped or sans insurance. He's also really smart and knows what he's talking about. He's given me scores of stretches and exercises over the years, specific to the ache du jour. He's also been in practice a really long time (like 15-20 years) even though he doesn't look it. read more

Dr. Grey (mark) and I met in spin class and just happened to mention that I was experiencing back and muscle pain from the workouts. Mark discussed it with me but at no time did he push his services on me. I literally had to ask him about his practice and ask him for an appointment before he was willing to put on his DR. hat. I didn't have the extra medical insurance to cover his services and informed Dr Grey that I would be paying for his services. Dr. Grey gave me the same attention he gives every patient I see in his office. He is always accommodating to my situation does his best to fit me into his schedule. Dr. Grey does a great job of taking his time to really analyze your situation and I know that he will take great care of you. Eddie on the other hand has helped me recover from a groin pull injury and I highly recommend his services. Eddie is a master on the massage table and found his technique very helpful as I continue to push my body and sore muscles to the limit. I love Dr. Paul. He's super friendly and addresses all the problems I have, as well as the ones that are giving me trouble. I would give him 5 stars as a chiropractor, but the reason why I give his whole facility as a 3 star is because of the receptionist!!! She is so mean, she's not welcoming, she doesn't know how to entertain guests. I always come in with her talking on the phone, or talking to a staff member and she doesn't even greet any of the guests! It's like we're not even there! Cannot say enough about Dr. Grey, Eddie, Carmen and Rachel. Been coming here for a number of years and have referred at least 20 people to this place. This was my first Yelp review because I love them so much (i just updated it because it was brief). Initially had neck pain - saw Dr. Grey for my initial exam - told me about the benefits of long term chiropractic care. I was skeptical to say the least. MANY years later I am still going for weekly appointments. I consider myself 'active' and push my body a bit. This results in periodic tweaks from time to time. I have had my neck and back out, a psoas tear, sublixated rib, and spasms in most of my upper and lower body. Dr. Grey works the bone magic - basically adjusting the spine and other parts so that they are in proper alignment. I cannot stress how much this has benefitted my overall feeling of well being and health. Eddie works the muscle - spasms, knots, tightness 'disappear' under his control. Ok - they don't disappear - he beats the crap out of them. Going to Eddie is not for the faint at heart. He will absolutely crush knots out of your body . Cost is totally reasonable considering the value that I have received. Their services are not limited to athletes but anyone who suffers from chronic pain, an accident or is interested in getting their internal 'electrical' system optimized. Dr. Gray is definitely one of the best doctor I ever met. I was in a car accident a month ago, and suffered in serious back and neck pain. I had almost 10 treatment so far, my body feels so much better and the pain level reduced tremendously. I have been a patient for more than 10 years. I had some hip and back pain due to a bicycle accident and Dr. Mertz helped me get rid of the pain. When Dr. Mertz moved away, Dr. Gray took over my case. I have been very happy under his care. I visit once every four to six weeks just to get a basic adjustment (yes, I travel from SF for this). I have not had any chronic back or hip pain by doing this. Most of the time, I get a 10-minute mini-massage from Eddie, the tissue therapist. It helps me get rid of the muscle spasms in my back and shoulders and I think it makes the adjustments easier for Dr. Gray. read more

I can't believe I didn't write a review for Dr. Gray. For Dr Gray's chiropractic work, I give a billion million stars. Negative stars for the people handling the money. I guess the clerks need to go back to simple mathematics. In any case, Dr Gray is wonderful and one of the very few chiropractors that know how to do the job. Sad, I won't be coming back only because of the clerks. Perhaps that's my thing, but doesn't have to be yours. If you live nearby and need great chiropractic work, see Dr. Gray. I woke up with severe neck pain this morning and neck was stuck in one angle and was unable to move. I came across this clinic on yelp and gave them a call if they accept walk-ins and they gave me an appointment to walk-in. I went in and was treated by Dr.Paul. He is an amazing doctor who listen to all my concerns and started treating. By the end of my session I am able to move my neck and it straight now. I still have a little pain for which he recommend me few tips until my next appointment. Would highly recommend this place and many thanks to Dr.Paul. I now go here to see Eddie roughly once per week for muscle therapy and it keeps me pain & injury free. Dr. Gray is terrific! I was 34 weeks pregnant with my second child and started getting terrible pains from my groin down my left leg. It turns out the pregnancy had caused my pelvis to misalign. After a week or so of constant pain I was starting to get depressed and desperate. I had never been to a chiropractor before and was a little skeptical, but I heard about Dr. Gray from a friend and boy was he the answer to my prayers! After my first session with him I say the pain decreased by 40%. After the second it was 80% gone. The last 20% stayed because the issue was that I was pregnant after all, but weekly visits to Dr. Gray helped me endure the end of an uncomfortable pregnancy and manage my symptoms. Now I just see him once every 1 - 2 months to keep everything lined up. It really helps with all the back-shoulder-neck pain of chasing kids around. Dr. Gray has always been very compassionate, gentle, and exceptionally professional (especially when talking about the body pains that come with birthing children). Dr. Gray is by far the best doctor I have ever had. Not only has he significantly improved my herniated disc, but he is all around a genuine doctor who cares about his patients. He takes his time, addresses your concerns and makes you feel comfortable. This was my first time seeing a chiropractor and during my first visit he took about twenty minutes to thoroughly go over my back history. I had seen three back doctors and one physical therapist during my seven years of back issues and they maybe only took five minutes each to go through my history. I had an MRI done recently because I re-injured my herniated disc and he took the time to go through and explain it in detail with me unlike anyone had before. He was able to treat me the same day and I felt instant relief! I hadn't realized how much I had been coping with the pain for years until I felt the difference after seeing Dr. Gray. He also made me aware of things I didn't realize I did, like leaning all my weight on one leg and shifting to one side while sitting to compensate for the pain. He had observed all of this during my first visit while I explained my back history. I also really appreciated Dr. Gray explaining how to adjust my workout routine to alleviate aggravating my back. This proved to me that his goal is to truly produce long-term results, not just a temporary fix. After a few weeks of treatment, I only go to him now for routine adjustments every 3-4 months. I'll add that this is my choice and that Dr. Gray has never had me sign up for routine visits or made me feel obligated to go see him. He has changed my life and I can't thank him enough! read more

The clerk is extremely rude and mean to me. She is outwardly irritated when I asked for a clarification on a bill several times over the phone. I have never in my life experienced a professional adult yelling at me and demeaning me for simply (and politely) asking for clarification. I am very taken aback, and to be honest Dr. Gray is not irreplaceable. There are probably plenty of chiropractors that are equally as good, if not better, in the area without a mean clerk. So because of the clerk, I will not be returning. I have had many chiropractic experiences with amazing doctors, and I do not find Dr. Gray to be that amazing for me to overlook the treatment I receive by the clerk. Often times it takes him multiple tries to crack my spine, which led to unnecessary soreness and aching. Yes, he is nice and kind, but what's the point of getting adjusted to be then stressed out by the clerk? read more

There's no mystery as to why he was named Best Chiropractor in Silicon Valley! I have been using him to help alleviate general back pain and recurring sinusitis. The massage therapy followed by the adjustment is really effective, and you never get the sense that he is in it for the money (e.g., you never get sold a maintenance package like so many other offices so overtly try to do). I end up going back because it just feels so much better when I do! His office is friendly, flexible and efficient. I really enjoy going there and I feel great when I do. My neck use to completely lock up about once a month and I tried everything to find relief. No matter what I tried, the pain would last about a week and then I would finally be able to move my neck again. My search for relief included at least 10 to 15 chiropractors, acupuncturist, and my doctor. Nothing helped. Then, a friend recommended Dr. Mark Gray. After my neck locked up again, I made an appointment. I was not optimistic about receiving any relief, but my friend was very insistent that I give this guy a try. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that Dr. Gray meet with me personally and listened to complaints about my neck. At other chiropractors, they often have an assistant meet with you and try to immediately up sell you to a wellness program. Many of the "wellness programs" at other chiropractors are meant to guarantee a reliable source of revenue and are presented to you no matter what problems you are having. Dr. Gray's office did not try to up sell me on anything. After the sit down and an X-ray, Dr. Gray began treatment. He said that one of my neck muscles was spasming and used his finger to place pressure on the muscle. After the treatment, I was able to move my neck and I was back to about 90 percent mobility. Given that he was the first person to provide any type of relief, he instantly gained a lot of credibility in my book. Dr. Gray said that I had a severe reverse curve in my neck at that I would need to undergo a series of treatments to correct the problem. Normally, I have a very healthy sense of skepticism (some would say cynicism) about long term treatments. However, Dr. Gray had gained my trust by proving immediate relief for my neck. After a long term treatment plan, he managed to drastically correct the reverse curve in my neck. As a result, my neck no longer locks up and my life has changed for the better. Dr. Gray earns his 5 stars and more. I have been to many chiropractors and have never been treated with such courtesy and respect as well as a high level of chiropractic expertise. On my first visit, I was out everywhere because I had not seen a chiropractor in over 3 months. I was busy and didn't have time to find a new doctor and was determined NOT to visit my old chiropractor because his service had declined to the point that I felt worse after a visit. I'm not going to say who it was but his practice is in Sunnyvale. Anyway, Dr. Gray took X-Rays and sat me down and explained everything about my neck and spinal column and we discussed approaches on how to remedy the issues. Then he gave me the best adjustment I have ever had. I was walking straight for the first time in months. I felt absolutely wonderful! I am so happy I was referred to him. Trustworthy, caring, a skilled chiropractor, a great listener and charges very reasonable fees for a great service. He really works with each patient to determine the best care for each person. I had a really bad reverse curve in my neck from an injury in my childhood. I was told by a few Chiropractors that I would have severe arthritis in my neck in a few years if I did not fix the curve. I contacted Dr. Paul Piccione's office. Previously I had seen his brother-in-law Mark Gray a few times; this location was close to home and in my health network so I gave Dr. Piccione a try. To his credit, he returned my phone call and took time to hear about my needs. As I have a more complex medical history and traumatic experiences with bone-jarring, joint popping chiros in the past, I could not handle anything too rough. I came for what I thought was a meet and greet, as Dr. Gray had done for me in the past. But this time I was given no forms to provide my medical history. The front desk person did not request my insurance- they assumed it was the same as before. The visit ended up being a full adjustment- even though I had explained I had just had a chiro visit the day before. I should have just turned it down but he said it would be fine. The technique was more gentle than most. A few weeks later I received large bill. First it was sent to my old insurance. I left a message; my message was not returned, so I called my insurance. It turns out United Health Care had requested medical records which Bell Plaza Chiropractic would not send to them. Instead they sent me a letter to say my claim was denied. I did not pay. They sent me another letter offering me a discount. My insurance called Dr. Piccione's office several times. They would not return their calls. United Health Care has been great and went out of their way to follow this claim, informing me that I would only be responsible for the $25 copay. Kudos to UHC. As far as Bell Chiropractic, I received more personalized care elsewhere that incorporated a wide variety of tools- and gave me no billing issues. read more
