It's small, locally owned and done well! There's a large-ish table where a group can hang with their laptops or a lounge area with cute photo ops. They have a large variety of milk teas, fruit teas, slushees or you can craft your own. I decided to try the peach fruit tea with lychee topping. It was refreshing and hit the spot! I then came back the following day bc it was that goooood. My 2nd time I had the passionfruit green tea (light sweetener) with mango star jellies. Equally as delicious and refreshing. =) Staff members were on top of their game. Place was consistently busy while I was there and they kept up with it. Cute place with interesting drinks - lava milks. I didn't opt to try it since those are basically flavored milk drinks. The matcha latte also had more milk than I anticipated so you can hardly taste the matcha. Tasted just like the Starbucks matcha latte if that's what you like. I had the ube matcha which was very tasty- too tasty because it made me want to drink it too quickly. My partner had the mango lava which he did not like, stating it tasted like frozen mango smoothie and not fresh mangos. I tried it and it just tasted like a mango smoothie to me with lots of sugar. The place has a couch which is always a huge plus for us as we like to cozy up and read. I never thought I liked matcha drinks until my daughter had me take a sip of her strawberry matcha from Bella Boba. Now I want one every week. It's so good. Especially with strawberry popping boba. It's a really cute shop and popular on social media. it's obvious that they take pride in that fact. But they should. There are great backdrops to take pics of your drinks, and before you shake them up, the drinks are really pretty. And of course they taste really good. My single only complaint, in the handful of times I've been here, is that they gave me a regular straw with my drink that had boba in it. The straw was too small to suck the boba up, so it all collected at the bottom of my cup with the ice. Naperville has GOOD BOBA??? I grew up with just Joy Yees and later Ma Tea House. The Gongcha in Hmart sucks, and the Vivi by Park to Shop isn't great either. (Edit: oops, I guess the Vivi closed. Bella boba is a super cute shop with a nicely decorated interior. I came around noon on a weekend and there were two workers there. My impression is that this place is more focused on milk based drinks rather than tea drinks or fruit teas based on the way the menu was structured (not being able to choose tea type!). I came in a group of two others. It was not busy in the store and the workers started on our drinks immediately. We ordered the coconut cloud matcha, the strawberry matcha, and a regular matcha. I would say that the matcha here has great taste, but it would be perfect if there was just a little bit more in the drink! We all agreed that we liked our drinks, but the only thing was that it tasted a little watered down to our liking. I see that the store has seasonal drinks, and I'm definitely interested to try them! I've been to Bella Boba a few times and always get their roasted oolong milk tea. Their roasted oolong milk tea has a strong flavor of oolong tea and the boba has a nice chewy texture. I recently went there to try their March drink, a Thai green tea with Irish cream cold foam. The Thai green tea had a subtle flavor of pandan which is good because pandan has a strong floral taste if used to much. The ambiance is chill and cozy. As bubble tea places go, Bella Boba is a solid option around the Naperville area. The first time I was there, I had come from watching a friend's pickleball tournament and had a friendly conversation with one of the baristas about their drinks and a bit about the place (not sure if it was the owner or not). In my most recent visit, I was very happy to rediscover that they are one of the few places that offer herbal/grass jelly as a topping! They also were offering an interesting summer drink called pomegranate lemonade (which I unfortunately forgot to take a picture of). I opted to try that and also ordered a roasted oolong milk tea with grass jelly for my wife. I appreciate that they also allowed the customizable sugar level options (which most bubble tea places have these days, but there are some that don't!). I ultimately much preferred the milk tea over the refresher, but I'm generally not a big fan of refresher type drinks anyways. Surprisingly the 50% sugar on the refresher actually made it much less sweet than I thought, maybe almost not sweet enough (YMMV). Based on my first experience with Bella Boba, they're willing to help you adjust your drink to match your preferences. I just opted not to do that since I was on a time crunch that day. The roasted oolong milk tea was great though and exactly what my wife wanted. Interior decor is nice and there's a small wall section meant for snapping an instagram photo with a boba sign and some aesthetically pleasing decorations. My fiancé (now husband) and I had a great experience visiting Bella Boba with our friends and trying their drinks, that we decided to have them cater our wedding! The owner Johnny was very kind and personable when we reached out. He was very responsive, and we were able to choose from a variety of bubble tea packages with a number of drinks and toppings. Bella Boba's bubble tea was a big hit at our wedding!! Our friends loved the drinks and the variety of toppings you could pair them with. When you walk in, it's very clean with some tables and chairs. Seating can be limited because there are people that spend hours there. Kind of like a Starbucks. I ordered a limited gingerbread lava tea with lychee jelly. It's sweet but I know next time to ask for less sweet. What a diamond In the rough. I have a love hate relationship with many boba shops and I was pleasantly surprised with this one. The chai was perfect, the strawberry smoothie tasted light not too sugary, but just enough sweetness due to the extra syrup swirl the balance with the nonsweet part. Mango was tasty! I'd definitely go back for a sweet treat and am glad I finally found a nice boba place that didn't seem too modernized like most others, that also seem to want to make a quick buck by simply slabbing the words "bubble tea" on their store, and to he'll with quality. There were so many options for flavors, as well as toppings, that I had a hard time choosing. I ultimately went with the coconut taro slushie, which was delicious, but the butterfly pea flower refresher and the winter melon tea also sounded intriguing. I can't avoid boba places no matter how hard I try. I saw the signage for Bella a few months ago and made a mental note of it. We managed to stop in today after lunch. The interior is cute and modern, but on the smaller side. There's a corner with a sofa for cozier seating, but it was taken. There was also a 4-person table, but one person was hogging it with his laptop and books. That left a couple of small tables. There is also a bench, but that might be for people waiting for takeout orders. They have milk teas, a few coffee drinks, and lava drinks (no caffeine). They also had ube cookies, but that was the only food item I noticed. We wanted hot drinks based on the weather. Unfortunately hot drinks only come in one size, which is pretty big (guessing 16 oz). I ordered a French vanilla cloud coffee and my wife got a brown sugar milk tea (hot). The cloud coffee had a really interesting layer of foam on top. It wasn't frothed milk; I think it was heavy cream, and it was cold foam. Lots of flavor from the cream, but the coffee was so-so. I can't say I tasted vanilla; just coffee and milk. My wife enjoyed her brown sugar milk tea. I had a sip and it had a very familiar flavor, so it's basically the same as brown sugar teas you'd get elsewhere. The tapioca was cooked well. Service was friendly. Cost came to $17.31 with tax and tip, which is on the high end for two drinks, but they add a 75-cent upcharge for hot drinks. I stopped in tonight with a group of boba lovers and we were all impressed! I got the lychee refresher, less sweet, with plain tapioca boba. It lived up to its name and was very refreshing and the perfect sweetness. The boba was just the right chewy texture. The boba balls didn't have much flavor, but there are some other boba ball options that I'm assuming have more flavor. I'll probably try those next time! The staff was friendly and helpful, and answered all our questions. I love that there are lots of decaf/ caf options as well as non-dairy milk options. my new favorite boba shop I think in all of the Chicagoland area is Bella Boba in Naperville. They use organic strawberries and mangos for their purees. And theyre hosting a unique event in September with different vendors featuring limited editions drinks like Salted Egg Cold Foam and Osmanthus Milk Tea. They make many syrups in house, and have authentic milk tea and lava milk drinks as well. they're hosting an event September 14&15 with different vendors and limited edition drinks. the first drink we sampled was the Vietnamese Iced Coffee with a cold foam. They get their coffee beans from Vietnam and this drink was frothy and sweet. The Taro Slush was the only taro drink that I have ever liked, so if you're big into taro, thats a must try for you. The strawberry slush was refreshing with the fresh strawberries and well blended. The brown sugar milk tea was creamy and had a well balanced caramel flavor. Ube Milk tea was subtly sweet and a mellow nutty flavor too, I think I would say this was my favorite drink. If you're into refreshers, they have a great selection, we got the red guava lemonade and it tasted the same way as how some floral flower smell. Overall, incredible spot and I'll be back. read more
