1/29/26 update: I was in the mood for trying out more of the menu. I got Taiwanese popcorn chicken (small), Taiwanese braised minced pork rice (small), intestine/oyster vermicelli, Taiwanese meatball soup, and mango refresher tea. -popcorn chicken 5 - I liked that he added the fresh basil leaves with it. They didn't add it at the 9 Bar Taiwan Cafe in Aurora and that one wasn't as good as this one. The chicken was nice and crispy. They were well seasoned and succulent when you bite into them. -braised minced pork rice 5 - this is the best one I've had in Illinois. I ordered a small bowl but it was packed. He added some pork floss for additional flavor. That braised minced pork was immaculate. I finished this bowl fast because it was that tasty. -intestine/oyster vermicelli 5 - this tasted just like in Taipei. A sufficient amount of intestine and oysters. Vermicelli was soft. You can drink the broth. It has a great taste. -Taiwanese meatball soup 5 - this is a good soup to have when it's cold. The meatballs were tender. The broth was savory. read more

Came here with my boys and we LOVED the popcorn chicken and the rolled ice cream. The rice dishes were also delicious and reasonably priced. Everything was so authentic compared to what you can find in Taiwan. The staff were friendly and we really enjoyed sitting in the clean and well-laid out restaurant. This is the best Taiwanese food places in the suburbs (and even city) in my opinion, I've been all over Taiwan, in the night markets and I go regularly on trips - I really like and miss Taiwanese food when I'm in the US! My friend and I were looking for some ice cream to cool us off on a hot day and we wanted to try a place we've never had before, so we decided to come here. Upon entering, we immediately noticed a smell of sewage which was not a great first impression. That said, it did seem clean. You order on a kiosk and there was only one person working, so it took a while for us to get our ice cream. I got the chocolate ice cream with Oreos, and I thought it was a little strange that she just put the Oreo in my cup -- it wasn't crumbled or anything like most places would do. I did enjoy the taste of my ice cream - it was creamy and not overly sweet. I'm not sure if I'll be back since there are better options in downtown Naperville. read more

Love rolled ice cream and I usually get it in Chinatown but unfortunately, I live 45 minutes away from downtown Chicago so this is my go to spot whenever I'm having that craving. Prices are pretty fair considering this is downtown Naperville. It's a small little place with a few seats indoor only. Lots of flavors to choose from rolled ice cream but if you don't like rolled ice cream they do have few other things like bubbas, sandwiches ect . Mom: I loved seeing the process of making rolled ice cream and how it is placed in a cup to resemble a flower, almost. The ice cream was creamy and fruity. Wish there were more topping options. We visited Munchies even before the renovation, and now their menu has expanded. The decor at the door looks good. However, it is more like an obstruction than a welcome. Will visit again and give their boba a try. Daughter: Normally, I'm not a fan of fruity ice cream, but the mango and coconut were so good and refreshing. My dad, who never guesses flavors right, actually figured it out. Watching them make it right in front of me was so satisfying! If you are looking for rolled ice cream, please avoid this place. We stopped by thinking we could try out this place for some rolled ice cream, and we ordered a chocolate rolled ice cream with Oreo topping. When we were handed our order, we wondered if it was a mistake because the chocolate was such a light light shade that we thought it was a mistake. However, I think it's just a very cheap version of a chocolate ice cream. The Oreo 'topping' was literally just an Oreo cookie stuck on the top of the ice cream. The flavor was nothing. Literally nothing. I can only assume maybe their Boba is better, but if you are coming for rolled ice cream, this is not the place. It takes a lot for us to throw away ice cream. read more

This place was confusing to me, a non-Mandarin-speaking person. There were lots of menus and choices, which was maybe part of the problem. I wanted a bubble milk tea. The menu had a list of bubble tea flavors, so I selected "brown sugar". Two people were working. The one taking my order asked me things such as "do you want more ice or less ice?" and "what percent of sugar do you want: 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% or 10% ?" How do I answer that - I'm new! I tried asking if the sweetener was a syrup that came in pumps. One girl said "there's one pump of (brown sugar flavor?) and............" her voice trailed off and she was speaking in another language. I asked how they like theirs, and they kind of shrugged in my direction. The other girl was saying "100% is maybe too sweet." Finally, I said "ok, 50% and regular ice." "Do you want any toppings?" (On bubble tea?? Like whip cream???) There was a list for these as well. The girl said it's like for ice cream. Hmm..no thank you. I got my tea and left. They were right, the 50% sugar was already pretty sweet; 100% would have been undrinkable. Otherwise, it was cold, sweet, tasty, and milky, but - NO BOBA?? smh! The first time I came here with my sister, on the menu it had English and mandarin names next to it, one of them said Milk tea boba, however when you go to order it, the boba pearls cost 75 cents extra. So when I got my drink it was $7.68 and the boba was hardly cooked so I had hard pearls in my drink. We came here again because we wanted to give them a second chance. This time the boba came out super mushy with no flavor. My sister let them know what happened and the guy was nice enough to remake the pearls and let her taste test the boba and remade the drink as well. read more
