Food: *Zesty lychee - this was a seasonal summer item and on a humid day in Chicagoland, it was definitely refreshing! Ambiance/Service: I had to take pictures of the Year of the Dragon art and the Spring has sprung art because it's great that there was a celebration of the season and the year. I appreciated that the staff took the time to make this set on a chalkboard. It could easily be a poster. There are also places to take pictures. Overall: When I am in town (which isn't often) I like to stop by here for boba. The staff is friendly and patient (because I don't know what to order since I'm not a regular) and it is a happy place. Even the details (the little signs that have the wifi password) are fun and inviting. This café is so freaking cute!! All of the astrology art on the walls are so beautiful and there is ample sitting just to relax and enjoy your drink! The staff are very sweet and informative and made my experience overall even better. The red bean taiyaki was super yummy and it was our first time trying taiyaki overall, which made me happy that we took the chance to try it from here! Update: 1/3/24. I guess after 8:15 PMish is when you'll get more of the college crowd coming in. We got our drinks to go so it wasn't an issue. I did the Wed combo for 1 large fruit tea and 1 taiyaki for $8. I got a raspberry fruit tea with pineapple popping boba and cinnamon brown sugar banana flavor taiyaki. Taiyaki was hot and delicious. The filling came out quite nice, didn't burn my tongue on it. I would order this again. The drink was okay, not too sweet but didn't taste much of the raspberry flavor. Let me start off by saying, this cafe is hella cute and I love the atmosphere. There are a lot of parking spaces so don't worry about finding parking. I do want to give this place another try because I don't think I got the absolute experiences of their drinks. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea & it didn't taste like brown sugar milk tea. It straight up tasted like coffee to me which was very new. I didn't hate it cause I love coffee but I just wished it tasted like actual brown sugar milk tea. It is always a pleasure coming here! Very bright, the owner was mopping and cleaning tables as I entered. The weight was a little longer for the drinks than normal but I think they had some online orders that they were preparing. The Boba is typically very fresh here but for some reason tonight it was a little off and they were a little bit on the harder side than usual. Still very enjoyable the pricing is probably the lowest in the area I've seen. They also have some great cookies at the front counter to purchase. Ordered three different drinks, a taro milk tea, a lemon refresher and a strawberry smoothie. Granted there's a sign saying you need to speak up when ordering mainly due to the large plastic sheet in front of the cashier, that definitely slowed the ordering down because me and the others in line had to repeat our orders a few times before they got it right. The boba was on the firmer chewier side, so if you like that, this would be your go to. My taro milk tea unfortunately lacked flavor. I drank it the second I got it so it wasn't because the ice was melting, there just wasn't sufficient flavor in it. The lemon refresher was well refreshing and strawberry smoothies were good but definitely sweetened. I wanted so much more from this place but was sadly disappointed. We were in the area and dropped by here for an afternoon smoothies treat.  Wife got their regular size strawberry smoothie, and I got a regular size mango smoothie with strawberry popping bobas.  We also asked for a 25% sweetness level.  I'd say they were in the ok range, and were generous for $5 anyway.  They were more like slushies rather than the real fruit smoothies I've had, and not particularly flavorful, and tasted a bit on the watered down side.  Staff was friendly and customers popped in and out of this quiet strip mall location.  Oh well, not trying to be a Debbie Downer or whatever the male equivalent is, but that's the way it was. read more

We love coming to Pisces cafe! They have such amazing drinks! I absolutely recommend their Okinawa Boba Tea. It has a delicious chocolate flavor and their tapioca boba are chewy and perfect! We love the atmosphere of the place too! It's fun and has zodiacs everywhere. They've added some comfortable booth seating and high top tables. Hoping they'll get a few outside for the summer! I'm so happy to have a boba tea place by me. There's only Joy Yee and another place in downtown Naperville that are comparable. You can get fruit smoothies, milk tea, or fruit teas all with boba. The inside is inviting and chill, but it's all about the drinks and service. I love it! The variety offered is good and not overwhelming. Why did it take me so long to try this place? I LOVED the Okinawan milk tea, the perfect balance of tea flavor and milkiness without being too sweet. They do quite a takeout business and there are limited seats inside and out as well. There are so many flavors to try: taro, cookies and cream, Hokkaido milk tea (from the opposite end of Japan as the Okinawan I guess), & more! I will definitely be back. read more

Brand new boba spot just opened earlier this month. Upon browsing social media, I first came across this on FB under 'recommendations' and decided to follow them on IG as well. They post their menus on there so be sure to check them out prior to arriving so you automatically know what you want!! The times I visited, the interior was very clean kept and practicing the social distancing guidelines. With more time, I can see this cafe getting busier - especially with the hotter weather. It's nice to just grab a drink and to cool down. Pisces Cafe's menu is small and simple compared to other boba places that I'm used to, but they do offer a variety of drinks. They have coffee, latte, refreshers, smoothies, ice blended and milk teas. I've found my favorites are from the refreshers category. I really like their peach tea and grapefruit one. Add mixed jelly or just plain lychee jelly to complete and I could honestly just stick to that drink every time I come here and be happy! I've also tried their mixed berries smoothie and that one was okay. My boyfriend tried their taro milk tea and he said it was okay as well (the boba wasn't as chewy and soft) - I don't think their strengths are in milk tea and/or boba currently. Maybe with more time, it'll get better. I think they are working on their website, you are are not able to order online just yet. They just introduced stamp cards so be sure to ask for one. I came here on a Friday night to get drinks for my roommates- we ordered two large milk teas with boba, one misugaru latte, and one large grapefruit refresher. The boba that came with the drinks are on the smaller side but are chewy and sweet, and are definitely a good topping if you can't decide! The drink itself is tasty- somewhat artificial but is good enough. Also for the price the drink sizes are of good value! My girlfriend is korean and ordered the misugaru latte, which is a korean drink, and said it tasted very much like the ones she's had from Korean cafes. They have some really special options. We ordered Horchata milk tea and coconut milk tea both with tapioca today. Tapioca are chewy, good texture. Horchata did not taste like the one I had in Mexican restaurant. Most I could taste was cinnamon. I adjusted sugar level to 50% still way too sweet for me. I will ask for 25% sugar next time. Coconut milk tea was really impressive! Most places serves coconut product have some weird chemical taste to it. But this one was like fresh coconut drink. You didn't taste much tea flavor in it and more like just coconut milk to me. We will come back again and try other items. read more

I was so excited to hear that we finally have a boba place near us! I wanted to come and support a local business and Pisces Cafe is a beautiful place to get all types of drinks. I ordered a regular sized Tiger Black Coffee. It was good but I wasn't in love with it. The boba was a tad bit tough and didn't taste really fresh. But I love brown sugar drinks and the sweentess was just right. It also comes with a shot of espeesso. It was about $4.82 with tax and I thought the price was a little high for a cup of iced coffee but fair enough. It's not more or less expensive than your local Starbucks. Given that it comes with a shot of espresso and boba, I thought it was fair. I also appreciate that they didn't go heavy on the ice like most places do nowadays. Staff was polite and down-to-earth! They were very friendly. The server asked if it was my first time and provided me with a punchcard which is a great incentive come back! Buy 10, get the 11th drink free. I love when local shops do any kind of rewards system. It shows loyalty to their customers. The ambiance was gorgeous and I can see myself hanging out here with a few friends in the future. There's adequate space for large groups. I will definitely come back and try more from their menu. I have my eye on those refreshers for next time. I'm not a crazy tea person so I look forward to see any new additions to their menu soon! I'd love to see their take on the classic Brown Sugar Milk Boba. Came here while waiting for food from magic kitchen. Ample seating spread out with chairs and couches. Got the milk tea with boba 25% sugar. It had a nice brown sugar flavor. Cashier was also knowledgeable and explained the different types of milk tea. Even with 25% it was still very sweet so I can't imagine what 100% tastes like.
