Went here to get Dessy bridesmaid dresses with a group of 10 girls. We were measured incorrectly. 8 out of 10 of us ended up with dresses 2 sizes too big. Randi, seemingly the owner, failed to accommodate our large group after multiple calls, emails and a trip to back to the store. She required us to be re-sized (in person at the store or on Zoom) and to send the dresses back when we are weeks from the wedding. We simply asked to be compensated for the expensive alterations we will need when a dress is sizes too big. The professionalism and kindness with running a business was lacking completely. We are extremely upset with the service we received after going out of our way to give them our service in the first place. I purchased a bridesmaids dress for my cousin's wedding through the Philadelphia store back in October. The woman that measured me, measured me incorrectly and instructed me to order a size 2 when I am a 0. The dress came and was too big and Randi Charen the owner said that she can exchange it for a zero and to send it back. When I sent back the dress, Randi informed me that the zero would be in by the end of April. I told Randi that that wasn't enough time with alterations, and to send me the original dress. Randi asked me for my credit card information to pay for the shipping label. I said I am absolutely not paying for that. (None of this was my fault) This was all done through text message. I received the original dress and dropped it off for alterations. On May 7th, I received a package in the mail, it was the size zero. Someone forgot to cancel it. I'm assuming it was Randi, but she blamed it on the dress manufacturer. Which is not shocking because shes trying to blame me for this situation. I tried on the size 0 just to get an idea of how it would fit, and even that was too big. I was never a size 2. Randi sent me a label to send back the 0. I went to pick up the size 2 from the seamstress today and it does not fit me. The alterations cost 250 dollars and the dress still does not fit. I called Randi to tell her this and to ask for my money back. She would not admit that she was wrong and blamed me and said that I told her to cancel the order for the size 0. I then reminded her why I told her to cancel the size 0 ,my concern was that it would not be ready in time, and it wasn't . It still wouldn't have arrived until May 7th, which is not the end of April as quoted. Randi would not take responsibility and kept saying "I can't control the mail." I am very frustrated because now I have a dress that does not fit. At one point, she even hung up on me. When I called back and asked "did you hang up on me" she proceeded to respond with "did you hang up on me". Why would I call her back if I hung up on her, that doesn't even make sense. At one point, I told her that I would be getting a lawyer, which she responded with "is it really worth it" Randi has the ability to give me my money back and refuses to do so. It was just an overall terrible experience with a mean woman. If you're looking for a terrible experience with people that have no clue what they are doing, then Bella bridesmaids is the right place for you. You're better off ordering the dress from a different Bella location as it is a franchise and Randi only owns the Philly one. My Aunt (the mother of the bride) felt bad that I was dealing with this and unbeknownst to me had called Randi to ask about getting my money back since she gave her so much business. Randi took that opportunity to tell my aunt that no one has ever spoken to her that way before . (Referring to me telling her that I would not pay for a label which was all done via text not verbal so she is lying) I'm not sure why Randi felt the need to do that as I am the paying customer, and an adult. My aunt was trying to help me and Randi bombarded her. When I called my Aunt after my final conversation with Randi, she informed me that Randi called her again to bad mouth me. Why is Randi Charen harassing my aunt a week before her daughter's wedding? When I was on the phone with Randi she kept saying "tell your aunt to call me" and at one point she even asked me "do you want to put your cousin and aunt through this a week before the wedding?" Yet she did that to my Aunt? She is just an evil crazy woman. Bottom line, I didn't get my money back and just a little bit about the store, they barely have any inventory. Went to Philly shop for a MOB dress without an appointment on a Tuesday afternoon, they took me in. Randi the sales rep was so helpful. I had so many options to choose from. Randi guided my Daughter(bride who did not purchase her gown from Bella's) and I through everything! I am very happy with their service. One month later when my other Daughter (Matron of Honor) went for her appointment we had Randi again and she did not disappoint! She helped us with the color options. Guided my Daughter through all the dress options. showed us what our two color choices would look like next to each other and a whole lot more customer care!! I highly recommend this shop. read more

I really love the idea that Bella is focused on the bridesmaids. Everywhere else I looked offered bridesmaid dresses but were obviously more focused on the bride. I thought it was nice to go somewhere where the focus would be entirely on the girls. I loved that they had such a huge selection of sizes, colors, styles and designers. I was able to book all of our appointments relatively quickly which was nice. The very first appointment was just with my MOH's and my Mom. Then I returned with just one of my girls, then both MOH's again, then all of the girls and my Mom, then one of the girls again. There is definitely a difference depending on the consultant you are working with. Grace is a dream to work with! She is kind, professional, helpful and just great all around! I wish all of our appointments could have been with her. She helped with all aspects of the appointment; colors, fit, clipping the girls, offering feedback, etc. There was another girl that was also pretty great, just not as friendly. Then there were a couple that had no idea what was going on. The dresses weren't pulled, they weren't clipping the girls, they didn't offer much feedback and they spent the time looking around or chatting and just left us to our own devices. I was grateful I didn't get one of those girls at one of our first appointments or it would have shaped my opinion and we might not have had as much knowledge on what was happening, the dresses and fabrics being offered or what to expect with the process in general. Grace fortunately set us up with all of that. I will say that what the others have said is true, it is extremely frustrating to have your girls being stuck sharing a dressing room when there are other dressing rooms open. It makes no sense and my bridesmaids all complained about it separately. We were told another appointment was scheduled for that dressing room. It didn't make any sense though because the first time there were literally only my two MOH's trying dresses on so one of them could have gone in there and if the other party showed up, she could have easily jumped out. That party never even showed up so my two girls had to spend the whole appointment taking turns for no reason. I appreciated that they offered the same color in so many dresses because I wanted my girls to all wear different dresses in the same color and there was definitely something for everyone. I loved all of the options. My vision was a deep purple for the bridesmaids and gold sequins for the MOH's. The consultant at my own bridal boutique told me to make sure it didn't look prom-y. Grace seemed down with the idea. The girls tried them on together and it was exactly as I envisioned and I was so excited!!! Having all of the options definitely helped that vision become a reality. We went with Aubergine and Gold sequin!!! Gorge! I'm glad we went back as often as we did because the second time I went with my MOH's there was a new sequin dress on a mannequin. They took it right off of the mannequin for us to try on and it worked out perfectly because we loved it and prior to that they both preferred the same dress! I wanted to see the other color of gold sequin that they told me was offered so they ordered a dress for me in that color and had it shipped to the store so I could compare the two. That was very helpful because you definitely can't tell by looking at a screen. As the bride, you create an online showroom and your girls can look through the dresses and vote for them. They will eventually place their order through there and once you double check everything and sign off as the bride, the entire order gets put through at the same time. They do have certain specials on certain designers at certain times so keep an eye out for those! None of my girls had an issue with being measured poorly and needing drastic alterations. They were all measured with their clothes on. I found it surprising when I got measured with my clothes on at my boutique but it appears that this is a standard practice. This boutique is in the heart of Old City with plenty of parking and places to eat all around. The entrance can be a bit sketch if you are alone at night so be careful. The bathroom is another thing that needs to be fixed. Something is up with the handle and there's a note but both my MOH and I at separate times were panicked that we were locked in there. Just replace the door...please!!! Overall, I recommend Bella Bridesmaids! They have other locations so if you have girls that are out of state, they can go to the location near them and be a part of the process even from a distance! Shout out to Grace, again! I had a terrible experience here. I went in looking for a bridesmaid dress for an upcoming wedding where the bride is not working with Bella Bridesmaids, but asked that we buy a navy gown. When I showed up to my appointment the staff was VERY pushy, trying to sell me on every dress I tried on. When I expressed that I was unsure I'd be making a purchase, they manipulated me into thinking I didn't have time to order from another store since the wedding was only 2 months away. They shoved an iPad into my face and told me to enter my credit card details. It was a very high pressure situation and I ended up buying a dress. A week later I picked it up and tried it on - very disappointed to say that I hate it. They won't take it back so now I am stuck with an expensive dress that I will never wear. I was thinking of working with Bella Bridesmaids for my own wedding that is later this year, but after this experience I will be going elsewhere. Really unimpressed. I inquired more than once to get the colors I was advised to wear for the wedding. Even after emails, I never received the color samples. I called in and they said they would get them ordered for me yet it never happened. Then when I heard my dress had arrived, called in and they said they were sending it to me but it took forever - and this was all after I payed something like 50 dollars for expedited delivery. Bella Bridesmaids to the rescue! My beautiful friend Aimee K is getting married this fall, and she graciously allowed her bridal party to select their own dresses with a few parameters. I first went to the go-to bridal chain, where I was met with the same dresses from nearly every wedding I've been in over the past decade. I left without a dress and did a bit of research, which is how I found out about Bella Bridesmaids. Because the bridal party members were able to select their own dresses, I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to get an appointment with Bella as a solo bridesmaid. Happily, they were more than accommodating and I set up an appointment within a week or two of reaching out. At my appointment, I had a dedicated rep who listened to my style preferences and made recommendations. There were so many dresses that I mostly just had the rep (I wish I remembered her name - she was so sweet!) bring me whatever she thought would work. I had a dressing room filled with beautiful options in a matter of minutes, and it didn't take long before I selected the dress. I'll admit, my selection was a bit pricier than the dresses at that other bridal shop, but it was worth every penny. It's worth noting that there were still options that were a good amount less than the dress I selected. I picked up my dress this week (just about 2.5 months after placing the order) and tried it on at home right away. The fit is perfect. The dress is beautiful. And, best of all, I am confident that I will wear it again. No, really, I mean that. The dress is chic enough for a black tie event. When I was fitted, they sized me at least 3 sizes too large, despite me trying on a floor sample in that size and it literally falling off of my body. I was told they had no floor samples that would fit me (size 4 typically). I felt demeaned and talked down to throughout the entire experience. When my dress arrived, it did not fit. They said they stood by their sizing, and they said there was no time for a new dress to be made in my size. I was not allowed to return the dress. This employee I worked with at Bella was rude, made me feel horrible about my body, and sold me an overpriced dress that will take hundreds of dollars to alter to fit me properly. Horrible. I want to give this place 0 stars, but that isn't an option so here we are. This place has been issue after issue since the second we set foot in the store to try on and pick out our dresses. The dresses were supposed to be set aside for us and were not, so we started our appointment late, and without any dresses the bride had wanted. When we mentioned to the girl helping us that it was frustrating, her response was "I'm frustrated too, because someone didn't do their job yesterday". We were also only allowed one dressing room for 4 of us when there was no party in the one next to us, so the appointment took close to 3 hours. We ended up all picking dresses that day. The online system is a pain to say the least, because you can't order any dress, it needs to be in your bride's "showroom". It took 3 calls to get the correct dress I wanted in the showroom (The girl had marked down the wrong dress for me!). Also, you have to wait until everyone orders their dress for them to charge your card, which doesn't make much sense if you ask me. Additionally, the mother of the bride ordered a dress there and when it came it was not the right size and unable to be altered, and they would not give a refund or send the dress in the correct size. I was recommended to get extra length, and it was completely unnecessary, so now I need to get a ton of alterations on the dress as well. 2 of the other bridesmaids got dresses in the sizes recommended by the girl helping us and they were 3 sizes too big (Yikes). Additionally, the staff is rude and unaccommodating. I am in another wedding this year, and we got our dresses at David's Bridal and it was much more smooth and a way better all around experience. read more

Dress sizing...beware. My friend decided to have us get our bridesmaids dresses here - she chose a levkoff dress. For my initial appointment I tried the dress the bride chose from levkoff which was a size 16 (that clearly was way too big for me ). I also would like to mention my sister also had us purchase levkoff dresses from another store and I was measured and I was a size 8. The girl who was measuring me didn't even bother to measure under my clothing (I had a chunky sweater on). The girl recommended a size 14 or 16. Not sure why they would recommend a dress size that's literally double and the sample clearly didn't fit. I asked if they had any other levkoff in store that was a size 8 on in the same brand and it fit perfectly. Just picked my dress up and glad I didn't go off their recommendations. Also was irritated because dress pick up is 1-6. When I asked if i could try it on to make sure everything was ok - she said let me check, we have appointments coming in - I was there at 4 pm and it was empty. My dress came in time. No problems. (Other stores were pushy for a sale, rude, or straight up didn't help us at all) My girls were able to try on a TON of dresses. I initially liked one specific style, but I was concerned about price. Listen to the reviews and don't trust their measurements. They measure you WAY too large and then you're stuck paying the alteration costs. I spent almost the same amount on alterations as on the dress ($280 for the dress, $240 for alterations). When I called Bella, they said it was my tailor's fault. My tailor, however, has always charged fairly and is well-known and liked in the community and has a five-star rating; it's just that literally EVERYTHING needed to be done. There was not a single part of that dress that fit. They wanted me to get another estimate from another tailor and also to bring it to Bella so they could check whether the right size was shipped. That would have taken more time out of my schedule (picking up the dress, bringing it to Bella's to be measured, bringing it to another tailor for an estimate, etc.), cutting it tight for the wedding. Also, why should I have to take that time out of my schedule for something that is their fault. And all for what? Possibly getting some money from them for alterations? Possibly? Unless you're model size, definitely, definitely, definitely get your measurements done elsewhere...or, better yet, don't even go here to begin with. read more

I had a great experience at Bella Bridemaids. Meredith and Kali handled my appointments. They answered my million questions and concerns and always got back to me in a timely manner. I originally thought I wanted one color for my 6 bridesmaids, just in different styles. When the dresses I was loving were from different designers and in slightly different colors, Kali helped me make a gorgeous color pallet that I ended up falling in love with. They have so many options to pick from, which I loved since I wanted my girls to pick the dress styles they liked best for them, and everyone found a dress they loved. The store itself is very unique in that it only carries bridesmaids gowns, so I was grateful to share a fun experience with my bridesmaids that was all about them. Will never use Bella again and will never recommend to anyone. From the beginning it's been nothing but chaos. I came in on a Friday afternoon (Jan25th) to pick out dresses that my bridal party will choose from. I chose 8 dresses. The women that helped me told me that she would write down the dress names and have them out the following day for my girls. So the very next day, 18 hours after, I came in with my mom and my 4 bridesmaids. We did not begin my appointment until a half hour after our scheduled time. When we began the appointment the women assigned to us had no idea what dresses I chose. She was running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to figure out what dresses I chose and where they were. She brought a handful that I didn't even pick. Finally we find some that I chose so my girls started trying them on. I thought it was weird that we were only allowed to use one dressing area for all my girls even though there were several open next to us with no party using them. My consultant that was helping us was attentive and answered any questions I had. Everyone ended up choosing what they wanted. In total the appointment took well over 3 hours because the delayed beginning and only one dressing area for my party. My mom ended up trying on a beautiful beaded dress and loving it. The woman measured everyone and my mom for correct sizes. My mom is very petite so she had many questions. The woman assured my mom that by writing her height measurement that the company would send the dress in a petite size. We ordered five dresses in my online show room, personalized for my party. You are supposed to logon to your brides account, click your dress and order it. We had several phone calls to Bella when the dresses in my online show room were incorrect. Finally got everything straightened away, and all four of my bridesmaids and my mother ordered a dress from Bella. Five dresses total. All dresses were in the $300 range, with tax and rush orders about $400 each. When the dress was delivered to my moms house it was not petite, and well over a foot too long. My mom took it to a seamstress and they said they are unable to alter it due to the beating. If they cut the dress all the beads will fall off. So she contacted Bella and they said they're unable to exchange/refund the dress. The dress company online shows that they offer it in a petite size, but apparently Bella bridesmaids doesn't offer a petite. No one told us this before my mom ordered. My mom paid about $400 for this dress and was told that it could be petite, and never told her that alterations were not able to be done on the dress. Now she has about a month to find a dress that fits her. A lot easier said than done for our body type. Several times through this experience with Bella, they have apologized to me saying " we are sorry we are really busy, as it is bridal season" it was really strange to me because they are supposed to be a boutique, high-end store. It was very unprofessional and odd to me that they do not have a seamless system down by now because this is what they specialize in. If I wasn't in such a time crunch for these dresses I would have not ordered from Bella. I work in restaurants for a living so I try and be understanding of these kinds of situations because I know how hard it must be and how annoying some customers can get. But I feel that my experience was unacceptable for the price we have paid for our dresses. One of my bridesmaids who is in another wedding said she had a better experience at David's bridal. This is such a cute little dress shop hidden in a cute little alley in the city. The girls there are so helpful and so friendly. After searching through many stores and trying on a million dresses, we finally found the bridesmaid dresses for my sisters wedding here. She had bridesmaids who lived in Arizona and New York and they conveniently have locations there which allowed the other girls to easily go to those locations and have no issues ordering. A lot of the ordering process is done online which makes it easy and smooth and I enjoyed being able to easily look at the details online. You can pay extra to have the dress shipped to your house when it arrives or just pick it up at the store. I had a terrible experience here. A few of my bridesmaids, mother and future mother in law had an apt at 12 and they didn't take us back until 12:15, which was totally fine. However, at 12:45 our stylist told us we would have to get ready to leave since our apt was only an hour long (even though they didn't take us back right at 12). She rushed us out at 1pm telling us they had another apt. I asked them to pull styles prior to the appointment, which was not done. Additionally, when we asked our stylist about a type of dress or specific dress she just pointed to a rack of dresses and told us we would have to find it. She was absolutely no help. In 2019 we went to Bella had a wonderful experience, so like any other great experience we were happy to give Bella Bridesmaids more business. Recently, we went there to look at dresses. We had a horrible experience from the beginning of entering the door. The front desk girl was so rude and actually asked us "what's your ETA on Kim." They told us we could open champagne and then shortly after gave us a lecture on not being able to have it. They were worried about Covid which is understandable, but the store was so packed with people for being so small it kind of made no sense. The woman who helped us could not be nicer and so polite which I want to note. But, the other girl YIKES. Now, onto the 10% discount they promise you but don't actually give to you. In 2019 we were also promised that but never received it. Now, 2022 we were promised again and did not receive. After many failed attempts to contact the store, we finally receive a message today that the discount is applied. Why do customers have to remind the place of business to apply a discount they are promised? That is not our job to check on other people to actually do their own job. So now I'm 2019 we did not even receive our discount at all. How is that fair? We had no idea we have to tell the store to apply it because there was no instruction they tell you it's applied. read more

They were so helpful in taking photos for me, keeping in mind what the other bridesmaids were wearing when pulling dresses, and making my budget work. Extremely unsatisfied with Bella Bridesmaids. Was not impressed from the beginning but end result was shocking. First off, the is not welcoming and just rude, they act like they are in a huge rush because they over schedule appointments. The group before ours was running late, so our time was cut short. Second disappointment was the dress. The size they recommended was extremely too large. 2 of me could've fit in my bridesmaid dress. They also recommended i get extra length(of course more expensive) luckily i declined that because the regular dress was too long to begin with. Lastly and most important, customer service is awful and pretty much lacks any empathy. I was in a tragic fire 2 weeks before the wedding, 3rd degree burns on my face, hand and leg. I was in the hospital for the days leading to the wedding and never got my dress altered or anything, and I decided I was in too much pain to be apart of the wedding party. My mother called to ask if there was any way to return the dress, about 15 calls later they finally responded with a big fat NO. I find that pretty heartless and just shows how insensitive and terrible the whole place is. read more

I have nothing but excellent things to say about my experience with Bella Bridesmaids. The owner, Meredith, is amazingly helpful, kind and welcoming. I have bridesmaids in my party who are from all over the East Coast. Many don't live near a Bella location and are in the Philadelphia area at random times. Meredith has been very accommodating, staying after hours to make sure my girls will look their best and making space in a packed schedule to sneak in a fitting or browsing session. She put no pressure on me to pick a dress on my first visit - or ever - and made helpful suggestions based on what I knew I liked and what I knew I hated. The store is filled with a huge selection of dresses. I think any bride could find a dress for her bridal party to fit any style or budget. Meredith and Bella are awesome. read more

I went to try on a dress for a wedding I am in and had the best experience! I wasn't able to make an appointment ahead of time but the lovely ladies took care of me right away! I worked with Annie who was the sweetest and extremely helpful! She measured me and took the time to discuss sizing with me and make sure I felt happy and comfortable with my decision! Absolutely loved working with Bella Bridesmaids for my bridesmaids' dresses. I met Meredith at a Cescaphe Event Group University event for bridal fashion and she was friendly and knowledgeable from the first conversation. The entire staff at Bella Bridesmaids was helpful each time I emailed with questions or needed to add a detail. I knew I wanted Jenny Yoo dresses with 1 color in mind and I knew a few dress styles in 2 different fabrics that I liked. With the help of the stylist, I ended up picking 3 different colors, 2 different fabrics, and all different styles that look beautiful together. A few of my bridesmaids think they were measured too big and could have ordered a size smaller. One bridesmaid is 5'11", was told she needed to order extra length, and she ended up having to get it hemmed because it was about 6" too long. The rest of my bridesmaids (10 total) said their dresses fit perfectly. I recommend Bella Bridesmaids for anyone getting married. It was so easy to get all of my girls in different cities to the nearest Bella location and the stylists at the different shops knew the dresses to pull for them to try on. Bella is the perfect shop for varying styles and colors of gorgeous bridesmaid dresses! read more

This place was amazing .. was in a tough spot having to travel back home for a dress and they were super sweet, helpful and accommodating .. was able to go here, get measured and order the right gown .. one of the few places I was able to find with bill levcoff gowns. Cindy and the staff were absolutely incredible. The selection of dresses is phenomenal...I needed a dress for the end of the month, so they worked super hard to find me ones within the color scheme that would be available in stock. It was seriously the best experience and I am so thankful I found them. It would be a really fun place to bring a bridal party to do the entire group there. It was seriously the hardest day finding a bridesmaid dress and coming to Bella was seriously a breath of fresh air. Everyone there had the best energy, were the most helpful and truly it was a wonderful experience. I was a last-minute appointment, late to that appointment and they kept the store open an hour past closing time and yet all of them stayed, helped and went above and beyond. And, it's not like I had a group - I was only buying one dress! I have been in a ton of weddings and dealt with a lot of places and this was by far the best HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!! read more

Bella has hands down the best selection of bridesmaid dresses! Meredith and Kali are both super helpful when it comes to finding dresses that complement one another but aren't super matchy matchy. They're a little bit hidden on a side street, but it's super cute and bright inside. read more

I've been a bridesmaid in 9 weddings and this was, by far, the worst place I've had to get a bridesmaids dress. We were notified that they wanted us to come in and get measured for the dresses. I emailed the location and said I had my exact measurements because I had done this so many times, so I could just send them by email and order my dress now...and they strongly recommended I come in to get measured and try the dress on. I recognize they likely hear this all the time and it winds up not being correct, so I went in. When I was measured there, they wrote down the same measurements I had, and then they didn't even have the dress in my size to try on. One of the employees was in a wedding coming up, and her dress was the right size so she let me try on her actual dress, however, it was neither the style nor the color of the actual bridesmaid dress I was supposed to be trying on, just the size and same designer. I had to purchase an expensive gown sight unseen without trying it on first because they clearly cater to sizes up to 12. This could have been avoided, and yet it was "was strongly recommended" that I come in, for what ended up being me just feeling utterly humiliated by the whole experience.
