every time I go to a place to get my eyebrows done I stupidly forget all my previous bad experiences and think- hey, maybe this time they'll actually understand! well, Jill said she understood but she didn't! she was better than a lot of people though. she did seem to care more about symmetry than a lot of eyebrow-ladies have. so that's good... but still, "just a little bit" "just a touch up" meant taking out HALF of my eyebrow hairs. if not more. AND BTW when she was trimming my eyebrows, she um, TRIMMED MY HAIR. like my head hair. so now i have a few strands of bangs. great. i've been trying to grow out my hair for a long long time. now a select awkward few hairs RIGHT in my face have to wait even longer. read more

woooohoooo!!! i love this place!!!! thanks to you yelpers!! i went in to even out my tan- at first i was wearing long sleeved shirt and jeans and being the tanned latina i am they were like WTH?! lol well what i really needed was to get rid of my farmer tan and the croc tan holes i had on my feet -LONG story! lol im really happy with their customer service. she explained everything throughly and in a nice way. i highly recommend them. The tanning esthetician is wonderful and sweet. it was raining and she even let me borrow her umbrella so i wouldn't spot! that was nice. i can't wait to go back..... my tan looks great. read more

Bella Cara is THE BEST. Jill and Nicole are the absolute greatest. I have been following Jill to get my eyebrows done since I was in College (back when she worked for Valerie). I have lived all over the country and used to fly back to LA just to get my brows done! Anyway, People stop me on the street and ask me where I get my brows done, and I always tell them about Jill! She has the perfect touch. Nobody compares! Believe me, I am very critical and particular only go to certain people and in my opinion I have a knack for finding the best of the best! I am the girl that everyone asks for beauty advice from. I get my hair highlighted from Michael Canale, my waxing done at the Beehive, and I fly to NY to get my haircut. So trust me when I say I know what I am talking about!! Since I have been following Jill around for over 10 years, I got to meet Nicole and now I only go to her for my tans. She is the only person who has gotten my tan right! Every time I leave her I look like I have the perfect tan complexion. Her formula is gentle, not streaky, individualized, and does not smell bad! i am a poor graduate student, and have never had my eyebrows done professionally. however, their uneveness started to bug me so i decided to get them done right. i used yelp to find this place an am very happy! though 35 is a lot for eyebrows imo, i have to say that jill is REALLLY REALLY good. she's fun to tlak to, and is very careful. she studies your face before she starts pluckin away. and i didn't have any cash on me, and i wasn't able to tip her but she said not to worry, and tip her the next time i come! she could have just done the credit card transaction again to include tip but she didn't! i'm defintiely coming back, since i'm waiting for more hairs to grow in so she really make them look good, and i still owe her a tip! read more

I've been getting my brows shaped with Jill for over 4 years now and if I could give more that 5 stars I would. I don't know why it's taken me so long to write a review which is very long overdue. Jill is not only the kindest, nicest and most genuine lady she is also a brow genius. Jill puts up with my annoying (I'm sure) sensitive skin on my face that breaks out when waxed so has to be tweezed only. As my eye brows are pretty thick and usually totally grown out when my monthly appointment comes around, Jill patiently and happily (or so it seems) does her magic. I always feel like I can see everything clearer after my appointment (yes, I'm totally aware of how ridiculous that sounds but I promise it's true) so they must be really out grown and need a good clean up, either way Jills skills are second to none. Most eyebrow shaping services in the area are over $50 and at $35 you are getting great service and great value, bonus! Thank you Jill!! read more

Terrible customer service. I paid for the "special package" and used one of my two tans. Decent experience, not the best airbrush I have ever had, but since I paid for two tans, I had to go back. Terrible location and parking also - right off Olympic where traffic is a nightmare. Anyway, each time I tried to schedule my second appointment, they said the latest they could do was 5 or 5:30. If you have an 8 to 5 job, don't even bother unless you work down the street because if not, getting there before 6 is difficult with the traffic on Olympic. I set my second appointment at 5:30 and got stuck on the 405 on my way there because it was pouring, and we all know people in LA can't drive when it rains. I called Bella Cara and told them I was going to be 15 minutes late, and she wouldn't stay for me. She said she had somewhere to be - understandable. So, while I was sitting on the 405, I yelped another place nearby and called and booked an appointment. Easy as that. Weeks later, I booked another appointment at Bella Cara, and I had to cancel a second time for the same exact reason. More weeks went by, and I called again yesterday to set up my second session. They set my appointment for today at 5:30. I had to arrange to leave work early, and it's not raining, so I knew I would make it, but they called me today, 2 hours before my appointment and told me that due to their "cancellation policy", I lost my package and would have to pay for my tan today. I never knew about the cancellation policy. She said it was posted in the store... like I noticed it. Then she asked me if I wanted to make another appointment and pay for it. Ya right...like I am ever coming back to this place. Let me give you a tip Bella Cara. Most people have 8 to 5 jobs, so if you are going to run a business like this, why don't you extend your hours? If you don't want to extend your hours, then vocalize your cancellation policy. Why didn't the girl on the phone tell me this last night, or when I had to cancel my second appointment? It's not like I just didn't show up, and I called several hours before my appointment. Why didn't someone tell me then? I never would have bought a package if I was informed about the cancellation policy because it's not realistic. Stuff happens, things come up, and people have emergencies. If you were a smart business, you would have been accommodating. You just lost a customer who could have brought you a lot of business, as well as recommendations. It's not shame on me - shame on you for running your business this way and treating your customers like this. There are much better salons in LA anyway. read more
