    Garlic Bread to start
    Marianne C.

We had a great experience as our first time here. We started with the garlic bread they over. Warm, soft and with just a hint of garlic was really perfect to get you tastebuds ready. With a little fallow of butter, it was perfect. We also tried their calamari. Tender, lightly breaded then dipped into the marinara made it complete. I had their Linguine Clams with white sauce, huge serving for the price. Great light flavor with lots of clams on top of al dente linguine. This is a good Italian stop. Service was efficient and the ambiance was cozy. Definitely worth coming back to.

Frutti Di Mari with spicy sauce

Nice welcoming spot with a cozy vibe. I am on the hunt for best spicy red sauce on pasta I could find in the DFW area. This spot is right up there in my opinion. Good flavor and right amount of kick to it. If you order their Frutti Di Mari, it will come with regular red sauce by default but if you want that extra kick and flavor, ask for the diavalo sauce instead. It'll make your dish much more elevated especially if you like it spicy. I had a great experience here with the service. Fast , efficient but you won't feel rushed. There will be more future visits to come.

Always a good time here! Food and service is always top notch! Came here impromptu to celebrate my sisters birthday. The servers were very attentive. Inside is gorgeous and the ambiance was befitting of a celebration. Thank you!

Had been a few years since we'd come to Bella as we've been frequenting their sister location Verona. Much smaller menu than Verona, but service and atmosphere are top notch. Food was good and we enjoyed everything. They charge $7 to BYOB and honestly that is my biggest issue with the place. But we'll probably come back.

Bella Italia Risotorante is a local Italian restaurant that is a great setting for both large groups or dates. They offer a menu that isn't very large, so you know everything on the menu is going to be perfected and out quick. After finishing the bread and butter that's offered my meal was brought which was the Chicken Bella. On one half of the plate was a large, tender, juicy fried chicken breast. It was crispy and flavorful as it was topped with cheese and hiding marinara sauce. It was delicious! The other half of the plate contained the amazing Tortellini Cremora. The pink sauce was rich and creamy and the filled pasta paired with it really well.

Went back with Family for Sunday lunch. We ordered Chicken Marsala, Stromboli and Pene pasta regular. It's delicious. Service is amazing. Clean place and well lighted. We"ll be back again.

We found this restaurant by Yelp. Yes, we were in an area we were not familiar with and Yelp guided us here. When we pulled up, I thought, "Oh no." It was a strip shopping center, and not a very enticing one. But, when we stepped into the restaurant, my mind changed. It was warm, inviting, modern, and a hint of elegance. We were treated well by the waitress, and we were served quickly. The rolls came first - they were good. Then the fried mozzarella - they were really good. And finally our dinner was placed in front of us. I ordered the Chicken Marsala with red wine sauce - it was very good! My husband ordered the Calzone and said it was one of the better Calzones he has eaten. When we go to a restaurant for the first time, we determine the quality of it by this question, "Would we come back to eat here again?" And the answer is YES.

The calamari was crisp and lightly fried with a tasty marinara sauce.

For Mother's Day lunch we visited Bella Italia Ristorante. We started our meal with a basket of fresh rolls. Then, we ordered bruschetta and a glass of Prosecco for the moms. We also ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. The calamari was crisp and lightly fried with a tasty marinara sauce. We finished it off quickly. The bruschetta was a mix of onions, tomatoes, and dressed in a tasty balsamic vinegar dressing served on crisp slices of bread. The Prosecco was a nice addition to the meal. I ordered eggplant parmigiana which was light, flavorful, and delicious. It came with a side of spaghetti. My son had the pasta Alfredo and that was rich and creamy. We also ordered the pasta with meat sauce for my granddaughter. That was a big hit too. Service was excellent. They were so nice and attentive to our needs. When you are dining with little ones, there is always something you need. The restaurant is attractive and designed with warm woods and an attractive bar area. We thoroughly enjoyed our Mother's Day lunch.

I love places that transport me to another place and Bella Italia Restorante did just that! Walking in you feel like you are in another world than the hot busy Plano streets. The interior is tastefully appointed without being overdone. The drawn blinds allow them to control the ambient lighting regardless of it being daytime or nighttime. The only thing a little out of place is the music. You would expect to hear easy listening Italian or light piano jazz. Instead most songs had some heavy guitar work. The service was very good. We were seated immediately and our server Sara was with us right after being seated. I ordered a Calzone and it was delicious. It was also pretty large, I would say 2 people could share it comfortably. It had the right mix of Ricotta and Mozzarella. I might have liked there to be a stronger Sausage presence, I might have also enjoyed the cheeses layered inside the Calzone instead of separated as they were, but I don't want to be too critical because overall it was really good! Would I order it again? Yes, but probably not on my next visit as there are many other things I want to try! Review #2046

5/5 Food 5/5 Service Came here for a late Saturday lunch and was quickly seated. Our server was friendly and quick to meet our asks. This place is a delicious hole in the wall for Italian food! Everything was well-seasoned and prepared, including pasta bolognese, fried calamari, minestrone soup, spaghetti with meatballs, and bread rolls (free!). I will definitely be back.

I haven't made a food review in YEARS so hopefully this reaches out to the person I intend to send…read morethis message to. My family and I occasionally go to North Italia to hit our Italian food cravings or when family out of town visits. Every time I head to the one in Legacy I know we will always eat well. This time a few of my cousins from Cali visited, so us TX cousins had to order our usual for them to try- the White Garlic Truffle Bread and Calamari and yes they did like the appetizers, food, ambiance (the whole shebang). Things didn't go unnoticed with me when we went this time this past Tuesday (a summer weekday). Our server was Michael and I want to give a proper shoutout to him for caring for our table. He would switch out our plates and utensils (which I didn't notice if previously the servers/waiters did that before and he just did so swiftly too) as well as he would make sure we were comfortable the entirety of our time there. What stood out to me was I even stated I share a menu item with one of my cousins (unrelated note: the Squid Ink Tonarelli is fragrantly spicy and good every time for me it's so good highly recommend btw) and he put in word to put the pasta into two bowls so it would be convenient for us to share. I can tell he was a detail oriented type of person (or perhaps the place was under new management) but regardless I just wanted to properly thank Michael with this review. One more thing I noticed was at the end of our lunch the staff went towards the kitchen due to what I can only assume a machine malfunction or were understaffed in the back so both the servers/waiters/staff were teaming up to fix the issue at hand. It took time and we left as they continued to fixing. So just to say with all that going on and on top of it all handling it with class and professionally did reach to me. Seriously, thank you so much Michael. I hope you know your actions have been impactful and fortunately reached to me. The North Italia team is so lucky to have you in their team!

Since it was a busy Saturday evening, the longer wait time wasn't an issue, we expected that. Our server was fantastic and made the experience enjoyable despite what happened. She handled everything professionally and was attentive throughout the meal. The problem came when one of our pasta dishes had a long black hair in it. We understand that mistakes happen. We brought it to our server's attention, and she immediately took the dish back and put in a rush order to have it remade. About 20 minutes later, she came back to let us know it was almost ready and that the manager would be bringing it out. Another five minutes passed, but our server ended up bringing the replacement herself. At no point did a manager come to our table to apologize, acknowledge the issue, or check on us. What was even more disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. After waiting roughly 25 minutes for the replacement dish and receiving a meal that originally contained a hair, the restaurant chose to comp his dessert instead of the pasta. While the gesture was appreciated, the dessert was less expensive than the entrée that had the issue. It just felt like a missed opportunity to make things right. We've always enjoyed dining here and will likely be back because our past experiences have been so positive. However, the lack of manager involvement and the way this situation was handled left us disappointed. A simple apology and comping the affected pasta would have gone a long way in showing that customer satisfaction truly matters.

We started with the focaccia bread (5/5). Wow--this might be some of the best bread I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the dip was delicious. I usually try not to fill up on bread before the entrées arrive, but we made sure to finish every bite. We also ordered the burrata salad (5/5), which was a very generous portion and absolutely delicious. I would definitely order it again. For our entrées, my friend and I shared the chicken piccata and the bolognese. The chicken piccata was a 5/5 for me, while the bolognese was a 4.5/5. Both dishes were excellent and I'd happily order either again. This visit was a completely different experience from my first one, and I'm glad I came back. I'd love to return with my husband sometime.
