Large sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom pizza.

It's been a year since our last visit and that's my bad. We ordered a large sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom pizza for pickup. The pizza was awesome. I walked in picked up the pizza all within 25 minutes. We have eaten in several times and can't wait to eat in. Perfect Italian feel in the indoor restaurant.

If I could give more than 5 star, I would. seriously!! Delicious and want to try the whole menu. It's BYOB. the pasta is amazing! All fresh and both the creamy tomato sauce and pesto sauce is yummy. Desserts too! Great portions. Can't wait to go back!

The linguine with scallops shrimp and mussels was tasty. This is a byob restaurant and Charges are $2 per person regardless of how many bottles.

Chicken parm (My Veal parm looked similar but I got more of the great tomato sauce)

Our first time here, wont be the last. Everything about the meal and the evening there was great. Best red sauce (on my veal Parm) I've had (OK, tied with Gino's in Baton Rouge). Pizza outstanding. Service great as well. Only downside was we forgot our wine at the house. Mr. Covino took the time to visit with every table and then shake hands as we left.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first time at Covino's this evening. We loved the ambience, especially the Frank Sinatra music. The food was fantastic: Buffalo shrimp appetizer Chicken Aristocrat Braciole Dessert- cappuccino ice cream pie Bread and salads were delicious Everything was delicious. Our server Allison was attentive and friendly. Covino's is open for dinner only: Monday - Saturday 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Sunday 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The menu from 60 or more years ago has a phone number of WEstmore 9-9685 In Port Chester N.Y. There were no Area Codes then and if you wanted to call long distance, you had to raise an AT&T operator to put the call through. There is a long standing family heritage at work here and the food reflects the pride this family has in serving guests for generations of the Covino family. We grew up in New Jersey and have sampled many Italian restaurants in the Plano area, searching for a real authentic New York area pizza. Covino's serves the only pizza we would give a 100 percent authentic rating so far. We haven't hit them all yet, of course. This hugely popular very small restaurant set in a vintage strip mall in Plano is only open for dinner with very restricted business hours. Bu sure to check before you go. It is very casual family oriented and is a BYOB restaurant.

I ordered to go and look at this piece of lasagna they gave us. This was $20. Along with the sad salad. This was our first time ordering and will be our last. Food is cold and I went up there and ordered in person, so it wasn't sitting.

We always get chicken with pink sauce and thick pasta. We also always get the ABRUZZI Bread, the best appetizer!

My most favorite Italian place to go to in the DFW metroplex. Small hole in the wall in the middle of Plano. Owner is always so nice. He will often say hi to everyone like old-school. The food is fantastic and very affordable. Also BYOB which is really great.

    Store front after hours.

The food was amazingly good--one of the best italian places I've had in a while. Our service was subpar. We were a group of 5 people all around the age of 23-24, and it seemed like our server just assumed that made all his shortcomings okay because he tried to act kind of bro-like with us. There were multiple periods of time where we were left alone for anywhere from 10 minutes to 40. It took us a LONG time to get our food even though we were one of maybe 4 parties in the restaurant. One friend got told they were out of something, ordered something else, and the waiter went, "that's a joke, right?" and told him they were out of that too. His entree came out almost a full 30-40 minutes after the rest of ours so he just packed it up to-go. Only a halfhearted apology that everything was taking so long and no type of compensation. The food was good enough that I would go back to try again since partner and I live in the area. But i really hope we don't get this guy as our server again.

Spaghetti Bolognese, Spicy Chicken Sauté & a vegetarian platter. Had an Italian eaten the spaghetti bolognese, he would have jumped off a cliff. The meat chunks were big & there must have been a max of 2 tablespoons of meat in the whole dish. The spicy chicken sauté was tough & rubbery. Both the dishes were made from a can of tomato sauce. No flavor in any dish. The vegetarian platter had some frozen falafels that were deep fried & served with the same 2 dips & some rice. The cheekiest part was the waiter add a 20% gratuity to the bill. I would never go back or recommend anyone go there.

I particularly liked the bruschetta because it was quite different from a traditional bruschetta. It came with roasted cherry tomato and house-made ricotta on one, and roasted butternut squash, Brussels sprout leaves and crushed hazelnut on the other. I really enjoyed trying something a little different! The Spicy Rigatoni Vodka was also really good, with Italian sausage, crispy pancetta, shaved garlic, basil and Grana Padano. Service overall was great. Our waitress was super friendly and checked on us throughout the meal to make sure we were happy with everything. The restaurant was buzzing when we visited for lunch on a Saturday, but there was still plenty of seating. It's nice and bright inside and located in a great area with plenty of parking. I'd definitely come back!

We ordered some coffee and a nice spread of brunch plates and also the donuts on the side that were absolutely fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed my Americano breakfast plate with the grilled bread, and the very unique and delicious hash brown balls. We also had an avocado toast that was light and fresh and a pasta dish I can't remember the name of that was also great. Nothing really blew my mind but the food here is consistently great and I'll have to give some more dishes a shot. Overall, a really nice experience and the ambiance is great for any occasion. This location is nice as you have plenty of other shops to explore and a scenic strip to walk through.

I asked her a couple of questions about the menu and let know that we woiuld order when everyone else arrived. Bread and a garlic-olive oil sauce were brought out while we waited. I ordered the Bronzino, which is a European Sea-Bass. It comes with, pasta and a choice of House or Caesar Salad. I went with the House Salad and it was excellent. It was topped with fresh tomatoes, olives, onion, cucumber and a sweet, tangy vinaigrette. The bronzino can be seared, grilled, or baked; I chose grilled. It's served "floating" in a rich sauce with rice-shaped pasta and broccoli. The fish was flavorful, though a bit softer than I expect from grilled. I would've also prefered slightly less salt on the pasta, Overall I give Mangia's 4 stars for service, food, ambience, and decor. I'd definitly come back to try more of their many dishes.
