I went to Moon Nails for the first time today and had such a great experience! I got the #3 pedicure, and it included what felt like a very long, relaxing massage. Had to go to this salon in a pinch. My regular salon isn't open on Sundays. Lots of workers. The lady that did my gel mani was big on using the electric file to get all of my gel polish off. She accidentally sanded part of my cuticle down on my thumb which she was apologetic for. Ouch! Then she tried to use a USED regular nail file to shape my nails. Against health dept rules. I asked her to use a brand new file. She did. If I go back, I would not want this same lady. read more

Cannot recommend enough! I have seen Te twice for gel and dip, and both times I received the neatest, gentlest, most thorough manicure. I have a lot of hangnails and dry skin and she took it upon herself to clean up every one. And the polish itself was done perfectly! *******BEWARE***** TOOK 4 PEOPLE- 2 guys and 2 Girls to do my nails. THE OLDER LADY. Please do not think negative, you are there to work and people are paying for the service. Very UNPROFESSIONAL- the older lady was talking negative in Vietnamese in front of other nail techs + customers. She spoke about how I did not know how to come in for a fill on my nails... I am Vietnamese and I understood what was said. When she cut me with the nail drill, she continued to paint over my blood with the nail polish brush. In the photo you can see my blood in the nail. All four nail techs that worked on my nails saw the blood. She painted over my nail that was BLEEDING. Contaminating tools and nail polish bottles. The other two nail technicians had to clean up the first lady's work. They were both drilling down the rock hard glue from under the nails that was glued on from the acrylic full set. Really horrible service and job from the first older lady. The older lady I was paired with kept saying negative comments about me, my knowledge, and my nails. I am here to get my nails done. I'm not there to be criticized, nor am I there to get cut by a licensed nail tech. As a first and last customer, I will not be returning here. Please do better. read more

these people don't know how to do designs so if that's what your looking for don't go here. Also if you want to get long lasting nails this isn't the place. My nails broke 3 hours after getting them done by doing my typical day to day routine. They also took over 2 hours because they kept messing up and when they would correct the mistakes it would still look bad but i did not have the heart to push them farther so i accepted my defeat and left with nails i did not want. read more

I came in for a gel manicure, and I wish I had left as soon as the manicurist pulled out a very obviously used dirty nail file to start working on my nails. The drill she used to buff my nails was also covered in dust. Then while trimming my cuticles, multiple instances of cutting my fingers, and my pointer finger was bad enough that it was bleeding the entire time (despite her continually wiping off the blood with an already used nail brush). I understand that accidents happen and I could tell she felt really bad about hurting me, but the salon needs to be held accountable for allowing such terrible sanitary procedures for their employees. The brush she used to continually wipe blood out of my cuticle was from her kit and she put it right back after just spraying it with alcohol and wiping it off. This was my first time ever getting my nails done, so I didn't know what red flags to look for until after this, otherwise I would have left immediately before she even started. I only pray I don't end up with an infection from this. How hard is it to use new files and brushes, especially if a client gets cut during a session? Overall, really bad experience and please BEWARE because this salon seems to be very unsanitary. read more

I'm not sure who did my toes, but she is wonderful. The whole salon is kind, sweet, and non-judgmental. I called beforehand, because I have a toenail fungal infection (that I'm taking antibiotics for), to see if they'd work on my toes. To my surprise, they said yes. Obviously embarrassed about my feet, they handled them with care, discretion, and detail, all while being friendly. My toes are pretty bad and they did an amazing job at restoring my confidence. I normally don't leave reviews, but felt compelled to leave one for this experience I had. First of all, they were way understaffed and overbooked with appointments. Most of the technicians were working with multiple people at the same time, which just isn't a good practice for the employees or the clients. Because the technicians were so rushed, they were not paying as much detail to the quality of their work, and I felt as if they were just trying to get me done and out the door as quick as possible. Secondly, my gel manicure started to chip after one week. And when it did start chipping, I could tell how thin and brittle my nails were when previously they were healthy even after having a gel manicure done a few times at a more expensive salon. Thirdly, the manicure itself was very uneven. I'm not one to ask a technician to redo nails, but I did ask her to redo my thumbnail because the ridges were extremely obvious. When I brought it up to her she tried to blame it on my natural nail plate shape, but my nails were totally fine before I had the manicure done so she was just trying to save face. She did end up redoing it and it was a little better, but still not smooth. Lastly, and most importantly, their tools were not clean. When my technician pulled out her box of nail Dremel tips, it was completely full of nail dust, and all of the instruments were covered in nail dust. I didn't trust that their cuticle tools would be clean so I requested her not to cut my cuticles, so I don't know that what the state of those were. They also use UV curing lamps which I am not a super huge fan of and I feel is very outdated since it's well known how bad they are for your skin. My technician was nice and she shaped my nails well, but overall it was not a good experience and I will not be returning. The price was really good, but I guess really you do get what you pay for. read more
