THE BEST TIRAMISU IN TOWN! We stopped by this place just because the crepe store next door was closed and we had sweet tooth craving. We found tiramisu in the freezer and in a matter of minutes made friends with the men who was supper kind and friendly! Brought the tiramisu home and it is the best tiramisu we have ever had! Not too sweet not too bitter, - the coffee on top tastes heavenly! We went back the next day and got another tray. Killing it now as I am leaving this review. Cute little Italian grocery close to the beach! Great to grab a quick bite or something for later. They have so many sandwich and deli options along with freezers with a variety of pastas like manicotti, lasagna and tortellini. I stopped in for a quick sandwich. I got the salami and cheddar sandwich on ciabatta. It was topped with balsamic and Parmesan. Very good sandwich and HUGE! Such a great portion that I actually only had half and had the other half the next day. Super reasonably priced as well. I believe it was only $10.99 for it. What a great but simple spot! It's so close to the beach. It's a perfect place to grab a bite if you're heading over to the beach and want something yummy tasty and easy to take with you. But they also have tables there that you can sit and eat at two. The owner, Ken is amazing! We went in with our two boys who were very young and rambunctious. Picked up some items fresh Italian perishable and non perishable specialities at Bella Monte. There are definitely some nice hard to find food items to put in a gift basket. This place is old school Italian, been there 30 years and 50 overall. They have all the classic Italian sandwiches you could want and the person behind the counter makes a mean cappuccino. I especially love their selection of frozen ravioli and other pasta specialties for those nights when you don't feel like cooking all that hard. There are tables outside if you want to enjoy your drink or a treat outside. There's no shortage of parking either. If you use cash, you can avoid a credit card fee. read more

Nice Italian deli with some of the friendliest staff I've seen in a while. So basically they offer sandwiches and platters and everything that I had was fresh and it was very good. The bread was super soft, the portions are huge, the pricing is not. They no longer have egg salad on the menu becasue of crazy egg pricing. They also have a few appetizers and the place doubles up as a small grocery store of Italian goodies. Plenty of parting here and limited seating inside with a few tables outside. My friend and I ordered so much food thinking it was going to be smaller that we had to make most of it home, so it turned into the meal that keeps on giving. My husband loves their homemade sandwiches but this time we decided to order a baked lasagna to feed ten people plus a tray of desserts to go along. Also added a large order of homemade Italian red sauce. My guests and I were delighted by both the lasagna which was totally like homemade, using excellent fresh ingredients. The dessert tray contained a variety of cheesecake, tiramisú, canoli so Yummy, homemade desserts! The lady taking the order was knowledgeable some she is also the chef! Very serviceable and nice to deal with. Definitively recommend their food and even though it might seem pricey... the quality ingredients and the homemade flavor surely makes up for it! We had a spectacular lunch here. It's basically a take out deli and Italian market, but they have quite a few tables to sit at in the front of the store. You order and pay at the back counter. The menu is on the wall, but you can customize anything you'd like. If you're craving a great sub, this is definitely the place to come. My husband chose the seeded Italian bread for his sandwich. And also got Bologna and cheese and everything else you could think of on the sub -- onions, lettuce, peppers, etc etc. We watched as the gal hand sliced all the meats for it. I thought she was cutting extra for a couple other sandwiches, but nope! Just his. It was so large that he had half wrapped to go knowing he would not be able to eat the entire thing. Talk about fresh and delicious!! I opted for a chef salad with Turkey and cheese and switched the ham to salami. She cut a ton of meat slices then layered them together and rolled them up. Then she sliced them into smaller pieces. Everything was put onto a mound of fresh lettuce with black olives -- my choice. I got their balsamic vinaigrette dressing along side. It was a large and delicious salad. I, too, could only eat a portion. In fact I had some more of it for my dinner that night and some of the meat in an omelet for breakfast the next day. Oh, forgot to say that with my chef salad I also got a choice of macaroni or potato salad. The mac salad was really good. And they weren't stingy with the portion of it either. It does not come with the subs, but you can add it on. Prices are very, very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. I can easily understand why people line up here at lunch time! It's worth waiting for your food to be made. And they have more than sandwiches and subs with some hot Italian offerings as well. And you can also enjoy browsing all the canned and boxed groceries in the store. They sell Mimi's pasta here frozen and a number of other items in the cooler. Lots of drinks -- including wines. I've loved Bella Monte's for more years than I can count! Wonderful people, especially Tracey! Their food is homemade, sandwiches, salads, soups and meals are super delicious! Always fresh and made to order. They have a few cafe tables if you prefer to eat inside their deli/store stocked with super Italian goods and homemade sauces/pasta/soups in the freezer that you can buy to take home. The minute you walk in the door it smells like heaven. They sell subs, salads, soups, desserts, packaged items, meats, pasta, and wine. They are located close to the beach making it the perfect place to grab lunch before heading over to enjoy the surf and sand. I ordered the Bella Montes Famous Italian sub. You can choose seeded Italian or bread white which they stuff with Italian meat and cheese. With tax it came to $10. The sandwich was huge and I had to save the second half for later. You can tell the quality in their own food. I was so glad I stopped in. Next time I want to try the meatball sub and some of the desserts. It looks like normally they have some seating inside but for right now they are take out only so grab your food and head to the beach and pretend you are on vacation. read more

I'm visit from Los Angeles and I wanted a local Italian deli made Italian sandwich. I read some reviews and thought I would give this place a try. I usually like to frequent an Italian deli over a franchise sandwich shop. The sandwich was very basic and nothing special. If you like old school style deli made sandwiches, this place is ok, but if you are looking for a unique sandwich with loads of flavor and ingredients this isn't the place for you. You will find the same cold sub/hoagie quality at Publix for half the price. Sandwiches are cut to order, but they miss on details, for instance, when slicing meat, toss first slice away, don't include it on the sandwich, also there is a disconnect between taking orders and making sandwiches, resulting in the need to repeat your order several times. I ordered a "11.99" cold sub, that inexplicably rang up as 16.07, no price breakdown, no explanation. Also no salt, pepper, or oregano on the sandwich, it seems to me that is basic sandwich building unless some specifies they don't want it. Bread was terrible, same doughy crap you'll find at Publix. Both this place and Publix use boars head products so you won't find any difference in that regard. read more

Bella Monte is a combination Italian market and deli. You know instantly its authentic Italian when you open the door and that awesome smell hits your nose. I'm a frequent flyer with the Italian sub on seeded Italian. This is a hearty hogie...delicious and made from meats sliced right in front of you and topped with crispy lettuce, juicy tomatoes and cherry peppers. You can choose to "eat in" and sit in a small table area in the front of the store. This is a cool option because you can peruse the store items you may want to buy later. On my recent Italian crave I bought a quart of meat sauce, 8 meatballs, spaghetti and a loaf of bread all for $22. I obviously didn't read the label closely and when I dumped the container into the pan I discovered the sauce already contained two meatballs and a sausage! I think BONUS as that sauce was only $8.50. This now will be a repeat event as it was excellent and reasonably priced and fed three of us with leftovers. The sauce, meatballs and sausage were bada-bing delicious. I do think I'll buy my spaghetti at publix as the package of Rao's Homemade was $5.99. It's much more than that and much more than a mere deli, in that it actually is an Italian store though not what I would call an Italian market. They carry all sorts of oils, infused or otherwise, wines, some fresh meats, aged meats, cured meats, baloney, fresh poultry and a good assortment of wines. Then there a various prepared pasta sauces and other take home ingredients that will turn your at home dinner, wherever you live, into an Italian dinning experience. I had a taste of one of their many sandwich selections and WOW! You can tell that this really is an Italian deli. I ordered two subs, one vegetarian and one Italian, the vegetarian was EXCELLENT! However, the Italian was not good. Italian had a good amount of meat but the lettuce, tomato, onions, condiments and oil and vinegar were barely any on. I asked, when ordering, can make sure to put lettuce, thank you, onions, and oil and vinegar on the side so at least sandwich did not get soggy. However there was no tomatoes, barely any lettuce, no mustard, NO oil and vinegar at all! When I called to let the people know, the gentleman that answered was very argumentative and started the conversation by snapping at me telling me that they were closing in 10 minutes. I tried to explain what was wrong with the sandwich and he put words in my mouth saying that I said the food was not fresh. I never said the food was not fresh. He then put me on the phone with a woman who started screaming and jumping to the defense of the restaurant. She swore she put the condiments and lettuce and tomato on the sandwich however I did not have any on my sandwich at all. Instead of being nice, they wanted to argue and be very aggressive. And as a new customer I would have hope they would've taken the constructive criticism and tried to improve it and at least apologize. They did not apologize, they did not offer a replacement order to make the sandwich right, they offered nothing just they scream at me. This is not a time during this pandemic to treat customers poorly. And because of the way they were so rude and Kurt on the phone with me I will not be ordering from there ever again!!! So thankful my Italian friend told me about this place. I went for the Ravioli's but figured the window plastered with 1 per page Sandwich info probably meant something. I ordered the Catania on white sub roll- it came with rare roast beef, super fresh mozzarella, artichoke, balsamic, and parmesan cheese. It was YUMMY! I'm a bread lover (of the 'up north' kind) and while fresh, it was just OK so I took off one star for that. I do like it better than Publix since it's not so dense. I'll be back. There is a selection of Chianti's from a few $ to $39. I can't believe I'd never been. read more
