My second impression was a good one because of how clean the place was. I could not help noticing the fruits and vegetables, some not too common. They looked fresh. The baked goods were interesting also. I had not seen these breads before. I like trying new things and so I was glad to run into this place. The market price is average. The market has a good variety of meats and seafood. They looked fresh. The service was not the friendliest. The cashiers never said a word to me or looked at me. After I paid she did not try to help put the groceries in the cart. She just stared at me and waited to start bagging the next customer.

The gentleman stocking the shelves and manning the counter was very nice. Price wise you still have to know what the "regular" prices are. Some things are comparable to the supermarket and some are less expensive. On the other hand, a few things are more expensive and not necessarily better in quality. We did find some nice onions -- I like that you don't have to buy an entire bag of them -- tomatoes, and limes, plus romaine lettuce. They have new and different items in the cooler and on the shelves. Some of the items are middle eastern -- like pita and hummus or za'atar and sumac spices. It was interesting to browse the shelves, too. There aren't that many independent produce markets left, especially in this area. We'd come back to check them out in the future, if nearby.

With New Year's quickly approaching, you know people are looking to stock up on a variety of alcoholic beverages. Here at Winn-Dixie, you will receive 10% off when you buy four or more bottles of wine. I did manage to find a small bottle of maraschino cherries. At checkout, I wasn't sure if my Winn-Dixie Rewards account was active, but the cashier told me that my phone number went through. Maybe I should start shopping here again for essentials.

They always encouraged me to come back, and I did. Quality is OK day-of. Most of it needs to be eaten quickly. For instance their watermelon or mangoes wont be good after a week. That's fine but $5.99/small melon or $1/mango are almost as bad as publix. Not quite but almost. Where's the deals? If its expensive, Where's the high quality? I respect their game and wish them luck but sadly its a closed chapter for me. Its not that im not going to return out of spite, but I wont be returning simply because there's no point to. They used to have beautiful fresh fruits and vegetables, a nice freezer section. I even bought a tomato tree here once. I don't come often since it's not close, but every once in a while when I'm going to Costco, I'll just drive down a little bit further and stop in and pick up some things. I was so disappointed today. They've gotten rid of 99% of freezer section and they have the old cases for sale, so that's the end of that. Today they had long tables of garbage thrown on top and I'm not quite sure what it was, but people were digging through like it was some flea market garage sale. The entire store has changed and in my opinion not for the better. I was able to pick up a couple of avocados at 3 for a $1, a bag of potatoes so I can make mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving, some tomatoes, and that's about it. I did notice that they had a table full of hot pickle tomatoes that expired 9/20/2025 so that did it for me. I don't understand why you would put out food no matter what price it is, after the expiration date. The other thing that bothered me was the 4% fee for credit card. I know as a fact, if you have the right credit card processing you pay 1.9%. They also had a tip jar at the check out...for what... so the salaried employee can slide your purchases across a scanner and you can put the items in the bags you bring. No one packs your bags here and they don't even have plastic or paper bags. With all the fees, the prices aren't any less than TJs or Aldi. I know now, I don't ever have to drive down here again.
