    Yummy treats to eat
    Skye A.

My co-worker would always bring treats from here to us at work. I finally had the chance to come in one day on the weekend. I met my friend for breakfast, and the people here were so nice. We both ordered the ham and cheese omelette that came with toasted bread, cafe con leches, and a ducle de leche eclair. They didn't have the dulce de leche treat I wanted so I just didn't eat the center of the eclair. I'm not a big fan of certain creamy fillings. The food was a great price, and we had a great time just hanging out talking for hours. I had only gotten a small cafe con leche and really wished I got a large!. It was delicious!

I was at the bank and want some coffee or smoothie and stop by to this place but the menu didn't have any cold coffee but the waitress ask me:" what are you looking for?, I prepare whatever you want, is my pleasure." Wow, she make my day!!! And She prepare an special cold latte and invite me to try first before charge me. Believe it!!! People and places like this are the one we need it! Recommend 100% and of course come back for the delicious sandwich and cake they offer.

    Very good Venezuelan Arepas
    Laura B.

Good food but if the owner isn't there - TERRIBLE service. We have been going almost every Saturday for lunch because the arepas are really good. We are loyal customers of this restaurant. Today after having already paid for everything we were headed out the door when I tried the coffee and asked for more milk. The person behind the counter wouldn't give me any. She kept saying that is how their coffee is served, then she said I didn't ask for the right thing, then that I had not asked for the right size. I asked why I couldn't have more milk and she started BERATING me that if I wanted milk I had to pay for it. The woman behind the counter started shouting at me. Shouting! That I had to pay, that milk wasn't free. I said, of course I'll pay for it. I never asked to have the milk for free (although normally if the coffee is too dark and you'd like a little more milk... well, let's just say that I've never been charged for that). But again, I don't mind paying for it, just nicely say "that will be $1". By the way, $1 is what she charged me for adding a little more milk to my coffee. It's just the way I was treated was terrible!

Relaxing at lunch time with a sandwich.

They have signs stating that pets can't come inside unless they're service animals. Not an issue. I read in the app that somebody's Uber eats driver got sent to a different location, Happened to us, too, but the bad directions took us close enough to see the place, so we just went there when the GPS started to send us into the dog track. We each had arepas (Llanera and Pelua, respectively) and a passionfruit margarita. They were uniformly excellent. The service was first rate - friendly, informative, courteous and attentive. The food was excellent, but it was the great service that made the experience stand out. Hats off to Jetsika, the server. We'll ask for her when we go back. Prices are on the high side for arepas, but not outlandish - We paid roughly $70 for both of us, including tax and tip. With the level of service we received, and the fact that this is not a take-out stand, it's worth the money. Good food, good service, decent prices... all pluses. We don't live anywhere near there, but we'll be back. An easy five stars.

I asked for an itemized receipt, and sure enough, some items had been rung up differently. The person at the counter explained that they recently started using Uber Eats, and the upcharged prices were only meant to be for people ordering from Uber--not in the restaurant. He had to call his manager to fix it, so I waited while they sorted it out. I appreciated that they did correct the issue, but it was a bit confusing. But this part of the experience did feel misleading to customers in general. After paying, the cashier went to the back and didn't return for a while. We weren't offered water or drinks while we waited for the food, and when I tried to get someone's attention from the front desk, no one came. Eventually, someone from the kitchen kindly helped us out--huge thanks to her! The food itself was fantastic, and I'd absolutely come back in hopes that it was just an off day. The space inside felt a little quiet and low-energy, and the young man at the counter didn't seem super enthusiastic--but everyone has those days. All in all, great food with room to grow on the service side. I'll definitely give it another try.
