We are at this restaurant all three nights we were in La Spezia. We couldn't bring ourselves to go anywhere else. The first two nights we ate at the restaurant. It's a pretty large place so even if it's busy, you shouldn't have to wait, or at least too long. There is an English menu available, but my advice is to check out the special boards that are written in chalk on a blackboard in each room. They have really good (and inexpensive house wine that you can purchase by the liter) Their gluten free food options were really amazing. If you can get their gluten free focaccia, I think it's better than anything with gluten in this world (heads up it's very salty... worth it!) The staff is really kind! And if you go multiple times, they'll remember you. If you go in to order take out on a weekend, heads up, it'll be chaotic, possibly a little scary if you don't speak Italian. Put in your order with one of the hostesses and ask her to put your name on it. Hang out in the lobby, they'll notice you standing there and eventually ask which order is yours and give you a nod when your order is ready. We were worried they'd forget about us in all the chaos, but they are very good at what they do and there must be a method to their madness. Amazing food, great prices, excellent service: HIGHLY recommended!

This place seems like a local spot and was some of the best pizza we had. A little away from the main area for shops and restaurants but worth the walk! We went for pizza at 930 one night and the place was packed for both sit down and takeout (they also do delivery). We took this as a good sign and since there was only 2 of us they squeezed us in quickly. The have a ton of options and are happy to give suggestions of their favorites if you can't choose and they did not lead us wrong! And every pizza item has the option of getting it in a pizza or a pinsa...a pinsa is a thicker crust, less crispy base than a pizza. Definitely worth trying both and deciding your favorite. The house wine comes in a jug and was very good. We enjoyed it so much that we came back with our friends later that week. The 007 pizza was our favorite! Cheap and delicious, definitely worth it if you're staying in the area.

Marinara pizza - gluten free. Tasty!

Decent pizza place in La Spezia. Very accomodating when we arrived 10 minutes after lunch closing time and were able to provide a gluten free pizza to boot. Be aware that some other food apps had the address of this place listed incorrectly although Yelp is correct. Pizza base made of charred vegetables and unique. Tasty food. Good service.

The food here was wonderful! We were looking for a place in town but most restaurants were closed during our typical American lunch hour. This place was open and the food was truly authentic! The portions are great, the food was tasty, and the service was good.

Great food, fast service, low prices. Dinner for 5, with wine and soda was only €50. Would definitely eat here again!

My favorite pizza in Liguria! Delicious and flavorful crust and sauce. The calzone is also fantastic. Everything is very cheap as well!

They have mediocre pizza and pasta. We were charged an additional 2 Euros for Parmesan for the pizza.

Everything we had was made in house and amazing. The only "downside" was it's mostly seafood. Other than the Octopus appetizer, which we got based on another review and was incredible, we ordered from the limited non seafood choices. They also did off menu plan pasta and spaghetti with a tomato sauce for the kids. Even the kids dishes were full of flavor. Service was friendly and good. The inside is a lot bigger than it seams at first. They accommodate comfortably our party of 8. We will go again next time I'm in town.

The place looked closed when we got there, but eventually they welcomed us in and ushered us into a back room near the kitchen. The waitress did not speak English, so our guide did the translating, so be warned if you are dining and do not speak Italian. However, I think that is a good thing! They have a nice menu with a variety of dishes for everyone, so if seafood isn't your thing, you will find something too. We were told by our guide that the pasta with pesto is one of the specialties of the region, so a number of students ordered that. I chose to go with the spaghetti with vongoles (clams). Our guide ordered a couple of starters for our table, one of them being the Octopus and Potato Salad. Now... my experience with Octopus in various dishes has not been successful, so I didn't anticipate liking the dish. However, I felt I did need to set an example for the students and give everything a try. I'm glad I did! The Octopus and Potato Salad Starter is amazing! The Octopus was meaty and tender... not rubbery. And however they flavor the dish... kind of tasted like olive oil, lemon, and maybe garlic was brilliant with the Octopus and Potatoes. Dishes started to drift out of the kitchen very slowly and our table was the last to be served. Our guide was actually starting to get a bit agitated and did say something to the waitress. While they do cook to order, I think cooking for a large group may have thrown them off. My pasta came out and it looked lovely! A pile of spaghetti with small clams dotted all over the pasta with a sprinkle of parsley. It isn't a particularly saucy pasta dish, so if you are looking for loads of sauce, this isn't for you. This is a light dish, filling, but won't leave you wanting a nap afterward. I ate everything... ok, not everything, I did leave the clam shells. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, although one of the students had ordered the Swordfish (I should probably take the blame for this as I was telling him how lovely Swordfish is when we were at the fish market in Venice), but said that it was very oily and fatty. The guide, my colleague, and I all looked at each other because that is not the experience any of us have had with Swordfish, but he still ate most of it and did have a plate of pasta before it. The price was very reasonable, in fact I thought it was pretty inexpensive. The students did pay for their own meals and not one mentioned the price, so I do take it that they thought it was good value, otherwise I'm sure we would have heard about it. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for typical Ligurian cuisine and don't want to end up at a tourist trap.
