Wife and kids out of town for the weekend on a college trip about a month ago, decided to take advantage of the time to indulge in something that isn't allowed in my house: Hawaiian pizza. Randomly chose this place - I've lived down the street for 16 years, and they're pretty quiet and unassuming. Ordered online, got home - sausage and peppers on it. Frustrated that my night was ruined (sausage will do that on a 'za), I went back, ready to get my Irish up and get it right. I was kindly shown my ticket...dumb Irish user-error, apparently: sausage and pepper was exactly what I ordered on my pizza. I prepared to pay for another one - while trying to figure out who I would give the other one to - and with a thick latino accent, the guy behind the counter say he's gonna take care of it...understandable, he'll make it on the fly, don't worry, we go it! WHAT?! I expressed my appreciation, and told him I'll be back, as I like to frequent smaller local stores who take care of their peeps. And the pizza made me instantly regret that I had been ignoring Bella's for the last 16 years... Soon after - fam back in town, wife convinced - I used to coupon to get free breadsticks with your order order. ANOTHER home run - these "breadsticks" are basically a perfectly seasoned deconstructed white cheese pizza with marinara dipping sauce...the pizza we ordered went uneaten until the next day, and these "breadsticks" were absolutely crushed by the family. Since then, breadsticks are the first thing, and we'll spilt a calzone - which, BTW, I thought I had screwed up on the laptop again, because this "small" calzone was enormous!! and with that great sauce (my wife and I think it tastes like the now defunct Somerville "Dial-a-pizza" sauce, which has a lot of nostalgic value...me and the new bride used to pick it up on the way home on Friday night to Charlestown...we were broke, it was cheap and good) and yummy crust, we haven't ordered pizza anywhere else since. These guys (and gal, I think) will take care of you...a diamond in a sea of pizza joints around Chelmsville and 'Rica, and I don't type well so you know something's up for me to write this much. Revisiting this place after a couple years and I gotta say... the pizza is fantastic! The flavors and texture are amazing, and they do a great job on sauce and toppings distribution. Prices are surprisingly inexpensive, given how great the pizza is There's a lot of pizza places in Billerica, but I think this will become my new go to! Highly recommend. read more

Terrible food and service. This place should have stayed shut down. My pasta was overcooked and complete mush with no sauce and dry chewy chicken. The roast beef tasted like it was microwaved, my dog didn't even want to eat it. Salad came with no feta and no dressing. When I called nobody cared. Good pizza and great delivery people! I live in an apt complex and they deliver straight to my door. It doesn't sound like much, but you'd be surprised in my area. The pizza is a really good NY style pizza. Large slices, a bit greasy, and always hot when delivered. I've ordered a few times and haven't had a bad experience. It's unfortunate because I actually do really like their pizza BUT waiting an hour and 15 minutes for delivery and then just driving there to pick it up after paying and tipping online is unacceptable. No apology, I was told "you don't like it you don't order here" And when I got home it wasn't even the right order. I'm genuinely irritated and will not be going there again. I went here for lunch on a Saturday ordered two steak and cheeses, chicken fingers, and fries and it was ready in 20 minutes when I got there and was all still hot when I got home. Everything tasted great no complaints at all and the service was great. read more

Delivery takes forever. Monday night order for 3 pizzas said it was going to 30-45 mins and ended up being over an hour and a half. Called to check order status and they said 2 mins - then called again after 10 mins and they had blocked my number. Bad service - never would go there again. read more

Greek pizza...not Italian.....just so you know....not that there's anything wrong with that....but just so you know. I ordered an Italian sub and a slice of cheese pizza. The pizza was.....well....Greek pizza. They put their subs in the oven before adding the toppings...a different concept I guess, but the cold cuts come out of the oven with a certain funk...like they came through a time machine and someone forgot to remove a dish of grease from the portal....a la "The Fly". I'm glad this place has some good reviews as the people were VERY nice that work here...but that isn't enough to ever bring me back. read more

It's convenient to my work but every time I go ... I say after that I have to remember not to go again. I truly think I will finally remember now. Over 30 minutes for food ... had to change it "to go" since it took so long. Wheat wrap is instead of white (had to empty the contents out) .... the inside taco mix was just ok. I asked 2 coworkers how theirs were (turkey club and egg sub) ... response ... "Horrible! Let's not go there again" A three person consensus here ... horrible place to get lunch. read more

Ordered food for delivery. Pretty much cold when we got it. Lg pizza, 1/2 Salami. The Salami was salty and dough to sweet. Lg. Cheeseburger sub had no flavor. Also got fries. Doesn't anybody have regular throw-back fries anymore? Whether they are crinkle, straight cut, steak, etc. The new, and "unimproved" fries are downright terrible. I just ordered the Meat lovers pizza through Doordash for this place. It was delivered on time. But when the driver handed me my pizza i thought i got sent the wrong one. It was by far the weakest attempt i have ever seen for a Meat lovers. Extremely thin slices of meats, covering a thin layer of cheese and barely any sauce on the pizza. With a Thin and someone soggy limp crust. The taste was not any better. It tasted like they used cheap sauce. Was not impressed what so ever. In fact i feel like i wasted my money. Not a fan. I got buffalo garden salad with house dressing. The buffalo wasn't great and the salad wasn't even that full and I wasn't a fan of the house dressing. The fries were ok nothing great. I grew up in Billerica but it wasn't until I moved to Lowell that my fiancé and I started ordering regularly from Bella's. We've never had a meal that wasn't amazing. My fiancé would live on the Tuscan fried dough bites if I let him. And the scilian pizzas are insanely good! I take care of two kids and the 8 year old can be very picky but even she loves Bella's. I'm not sure how this place gets 4 stars. I'd almost question if those reviews are even real. If I could give this place minus 4 stars I would. I'm not usually so harsh but wow, this place disgusted me. First, we ordered two grilled chicken salads. VERY CLEAR as to one was suppose to have anchovies. Only one salad showed up...no anchovies. Chicken was rubbery and wow...worst chicken I've ever ever ever ever ever ever had. Hands down. 2nd item...large cheese pizza. It was beyond nasty. The crust was chewy and just GROSS. 3rd item, a order of buffalo chicken wings on the bone. There was SOOOOOOOOO MUCH breading on the wings, I could hardly find the chicken! But when we did, it was nasty, chewy, almost like freezer burned wings. Not one thing tasted fresh, not one. Last but not least, we were told order would be delivered in 40 minutes. More like a hour & ten minutes...with no phone call to let us know. And last...wait for it...everyone that ate the food got food poisoning and achey, flu like symptoms, along with being stomach sick. All the same people...fine today. So it was DEFINITELY the food. Did we call & complain? This place was once good for pizza. I don't know what happened in the last few months but it's not that good. Be prepared to smell like whatever is cooking on the grill if you eat in because of the poor ventilation. It smelled like moth balls in there on this visit which is odd for a pizza shop. I love Bella's. They are always polite, friendly and treat their customers with care. The food is great and priced fairly. Every time I go to a different pizza/sub shop I ask myself why I didn't just go to Bella's. They are consistent and worth it. Calzones are amazing as are their salads and their pizza deals. I have had many deliveries to my business and I have had speedy service and the food has been tasty. The chicken and broccoli calzone is good (and huge) and I usually get two meals out of it. I ordered delivery from this place tonight and was somewhat disappointed with my pizza. I got the Focaccia pizza, described as having olive oil, garlic, tomato slices, basil, and romano cheese. The pizza did not come with any sauce which is not mentioned in the menu, even though the pizza listed after it specifies that it is sauceless. I assume that's just an oversight on the part of whoever put together the menu. The pizza had an extremely thin and crispy crust. Some people are into that, but unfortunately, I am not. I like a doughier crust. I want my pizza to have some heft and substance to it. There was nothing bad about the taste of the pizza, nothing remarkable, but nothing bad. I probably won't order pizza from here again, but I may give them another shot and try one of their grinders. Two stars, because the Yelp description of two stars sums up my feelings exactly. I ordered pizza here for the first time tonight, and every thing was very good. I am particular about my pizza and this is the first place that i have tried in town where I would go back to without question. The dough was tasty I like a bit airier of crust so a bit more sugar to get some extra rising in the dough would have scored a few more points in my book. The sauce was very tasty and just the right amount a bit less sweetness would have made this item perfect in my book. The toppings are what really shined in my book, the cheese was a perfect blend just the right stringiness, a nice bite, and very flavorful. The peperoni was excellent and looked like it might be freshly sliced from a deli roni stick, again great flavor here. The top for me on these items was the fresh mushrooms, most places use canned which tends to make the pie a bit soggy. In the end this is the first pizza place in the area that I would be happy to recommend to a friend. read more
