We had my daughters birthday party's Bella Terra what a great day for a party everybody had fun I would recommend to all

Very unhappy with the service provided. I wanted to keep my money and my birthday event local. Went in several weeks in advance to schedule. Was told sure not problem as long as a had a certain number of guest. Went in to confirm I had a large enough party and suddenly the event date was not available due to a personal reason. But was also told that I would get a phone call in the next day or so to confirm if I could have the party or not. I never heard back so canceled the birthday event. The day I wanted was June 10th. I proceed to get a text message today the 8th 2 days before the Birthday party date I wanted saying sorry she was unable to accommodate me. Ya no duh... Very unprofessional. Need to get more organized or hire someone to help them be. Also very disappointed because I had great childhood memories from this business. read more

I've been coming to this location since about 2003 or so. I've had excellent service almost every time too. My most recent visit wasn't that great though. I painted a heart shaped box for my daughter (that was supposed to be a treasured keepsake) and was told it'd be a week before I could pick it up. My best friend lives in the area and picked it up for me without actually examining the piece. When I got my hands on it I was not pleased. The bottom of the piece was BADLY smudged with what looked like ash or some other gray matter over 1/3 of the bottom. The inside of the box where the two pieces meet was covered in the gray stuff too. My box was painted a light pink with a blue-ish flower on the top. The part that really bothered me though was that it had been glazed over with this smudge on it, making it all the more permanent. When I went back to talk to the lady she said they went ahead and glazed it because sometimes people make marks like that and they didn't want to cover it up in case it was intentional. Considering the box was solid pink except for the flower, it seems pretty safe to say the large gray smudge on the bottom was not intended. I would have GREATLY appreciated a call before they went ahead and glazed my piece. The lady I spoke to behind the counter (whom I'd only seen when I painted my piece) said they would cover it up with the same color paint, re-glaze it and I could pick it up in another week. Well, I made the mistake of letting my friend pick it up again and their "fix" was completely unacceptable. It looks like there's gray cracks all over the area that the smudge was now. Included with my piece was a $10 gift certificate which doesn't even cover the price of the piece ($15). I'm really disappointed about my last visit, especially since the gift certificate doesn't come close to the $25 I'm out on this piece (piece + studio time fee). Such a shame. As of now, I might just pass the gift certificate on to a friend who hasn't been jaded by a bad experience there. Especially since a pottery painting studio recently opened up in my neck of the woods. Overall, this place is great for young kids and aspiring artists. I've only had one other bad experience at this place but this recent one has kind of ruined the fun for me. Enough so that I gotta reduce what would be a 5 star rating to just 3 stars. I'm just really disappointed that they didn't stand behind their own work more. Especially since many of the pieces they sell are meant to be keepsakes. read more

I haven't been here in years, but I remember coming here a few times during my childhood. I always enjoyed the experience and I still have all 3 things I made from Bella Terra. I painted a dalmatian puppy, a dish, and a heart. If you want to learn about about ceramics and paint a new piece, Bella Terra is the place to go! I hope to visit and make a new creation next time I visit Vacaville! read more

This was my first time here and I had so much fun! The owner is very friendly and helpful. I can't compare the prices to anywhere else, but it seemed more than reasonably priced. Started a project and will go back to finish it soon! Wish I had gone here sooner. If you're an artistic person (I am not), this would be a great way to get some creative gifts to make for people! read more

I took my Girl Scout troop here for a night out and the girls had a great time. I don't remember the name of the woman who helped us that night (might have been Stephanie), but she was great and very patient with my squirrely group. They host many events with various youth organizations and groups in town and I've never heard anything but positive feedback from everyone. The variety of crafts and activities that you can participate in at Bella Terra are great too - from paint night, to classes to painting pottery, you have a lot to choose from. The prices are pretty reasonable too and the turnaround on items is outstanding. read more

Love this place. We've been coming every once in a while since my oldest (now almost 5) was a baby. We just went today to get our newest addition's foot prints on a plaque and to make gifts for the grandparents. Stephanie is the greatest. She's so sweet and very helpful. I went there for the first time a few days ago and I was not disappointed. The shop was busy due to it being a saturday and getting close to the holidays but they were beyond welcoming and friendly and were able to accomodate me and my nephew. There is a nice selection of ceramics to paint and several paint colors. They come over to check on you if you need anything and are helpful when it comes to how to paint properly and assist with your design. I was using the wrong brush for one of my designs and one of the workers came over and noticed so she brought me a different brush. They made sure you had clean water for your brushes. I will be going back to this place. read more

Bella Terra is the best and only place that I know where there is a studio to paint your custom dishes and pottery. Stephanie at Bella Terra is full of information, she's a lot of fun, and is such a great friend to everyone that walks through her door. You can be as creative as you want to be, or paint something all in one color. It doesn't matter what you do, as long as you have fun. This is definately one of the best places in Vacaville to hang out at, actually all of Solano County for that matter! Stephanie has different specialty nights as well. What a unique place! The owner is knowledgeable, creative and talented. The shop is fun and open. I'm no artist but I sure had fun painting plates, mugs and dog bowls. Everything ended up coming out looking great. Our family of adults, teens and little ones all had so much fun working on different projects at the same time. I love spending time at Bella Terra. The Owner and the helpers are very nice and offer help as you work on your projects. Have always gone home with an acceptable art project. Stephanie is an amazing teacher and the studio is so cute. My kids and I have a great time every time we come in. There are so many options to paint. I painted a plate and coffee mug for my mom. Stephanie helped me put my kids hand prints on both pieces. They turned out so beautiful I kept them and had to start again. I'm looking forward to paint night on Friday bringing my girlfriends and sharing some food. Her prices are so very affordable for hours of fun! read more

I have driven by Bella Terra many times but had not made the time to check it out. I am so glad that I finally did! I took my 2 and 4 year old boys in to make a Father's day gift and the owner could not have been more accommodating or pleasant. She helped the boys do a handprint platter and my husband loved it! Love it!! Fun for all ages. Ambiance = zen. The staff is so welcoming. They are very helpful, and will also give you plenty of independence to create your masterpiece.
