Could be cleaner... my room had so many spider webs, and stains. Could use some updating as well...The staff was great and the location is perfect.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here at Bella vista! It was wonderful! Rooms are spacious. The balcony and view was breathtaking. In the morning we were able to get up and walk around that part of the lake. It was a prime location. We could be downtown in minutes. The dock was beautiful to sit on. Bed was comfy, room clean. Loved every moment

Nice hotel on the lake front, an easy walk to restaurants and shops downtown Easy access to the lake front. The hotel has a private off street parking lot. No restaurant is in the hotel but plenty of restaurants nearby and delivery is an option. On my visit the hotel was not very crowded The guests were spaced apart making for a very quiet stay. All rooms have a balcony with hall having a view of the lake ( and a higher rate ) the other half faces the oarking lot and a park behind the hotel The furnishings were a bit dated but on good condition My room also had a kitchenette with a small sink a fridge with a small freezer and a microwave and coffee maker, there were dishes and classes in a cabinet above the counter. A minor thing I did not like was the room had old compact florescent lamps that were that cool white and had glare not easy on the eyes in a hotel room Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Workout room not very large but adequate, also a sauna. There is a spa on site where you can book a spa treatment. If you have a room facing away from the lake there is a nice large patio in front that has a lake view. Lower lever has an event room that can be used for weddings or other group events. Nice atrium is in the center of the building Building is also fully equipped with fire sprinklers

Our July 4th wedding at Bella Vista Suites

NOTE: Please also see the pictures that I have added. We had our 130 people July 4th wedding ceremony (outdoor) and reception (indoor) and boy, what can I say, it was an amazing experience! We are so glad to have chosen this place to share our big day with. During our search for the perfect venue, we have looked at so many places. All the places are either too expensive, decor outdated, too far from the downtown area, or not close enough to the lake. One of our major criteria was close to the lake and being able to see the July 4th fireworks while staying within our budget. Before visiting Bella Vista, I admit we were a bit skeptical. We were not able to find any reviews nor pictures about this venue. However, we decided to visit nonetheless (doesn't hurt, eh?) Bella Vista is located right in the heart of Lake Geneva downtown, on the lake shore. When we first came in, we were greeted by Kim, who is a lovely lady. Do keep in mind that her job is only to sell you the place and make sure everything is setup. You, as the bride/groom are responsible for your own coordination, meaning event planning and such, which we were fully aware of. She is also very responsive with her communication. The decor is vintage with a little bed and breakfast feeling. To most people, they could be taken aback how outdated it looks. However, I can ensure, there are ways around it. With the price, you are basically buying the amazing lake view and the location. If you have a DJ, I highly recommend doing uplighting, because it transforms the space tremendously. (See pictures) The day of, everything was running really smoothly. Kim and Alethea were so accommodating, they made sure my husband and I were well fed during our hectic day. Even during the fireworks while we were sitting outside, Kim offered to get us gelato and we were so touched. Here are a few tips: - If you have both outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, the chairs they use will be the white garden chairs. However, you can upgrade to chivari chairs, and trust me, it's worth it. - The space was actually really comfortable for 130 people wedding, though supposedly they can go to 175. They have a koi pond with seating space, which allows people to sit and hangout. - We used BB's Best DJ Service and they have worked at Bella Vista before. Their uplighting package is highly recommended : http://www.bbsbest.com/ This place needs more love and it's a gem. All of our guests told us this was one of the best weddings they have been to and have a great time. Bella Vista Suites, thank you for making our wedding the best days of our lives :)

Room was super cute with an amazing view. Highly recommend if your staying in lake geneva to get the lake views. The sunset from the balcony was breathtaking.

The only perks of this establishment are its location and lake view, if your room is on the correct side of the building. Surely this place is only still in business because of its location and lake view, should you get one. Nobody is in any hurry to do better here. The rooms are dated. Electronics do not properly function. The walls are filthy- which really make you question literally everything else. There are phones in the rooms which give you nothing other than an electronic lady saying: "That extension is not available right now." Why are there even phones in the room? We don't need your landline to call out, it's 2022. There is no restaurant. There is no bar. But if you're looking for a glass half-full... the vending machines are very reasonably priced. Altogether, it is not worth the investment. I've been at roadside hotels that were cleaner, more vibrant, and had more attentive employees. We all deserve better at this beautiful Lake Geneva, especially considering the cost of a vacation here. Spend your money elsewhere. This place has nothing to offer.

Don't think this is a brand new mattress!!!

Also if you plan on talking louder than a soft whisper except to get a phone call from Debi cause the child care / church that is next door doesn't want it to be loud. The pictures are very deceptive on not showing you that there is a child's jungle gym one foot over the fence of your yard. Hell, I would have rather camped out. Alright, enough about the house. I'll move on to the owner's classic example of a bait and switch. About an hour after we arrived, the owner informed us that her pontoon boat was having mechanical issues. The owner then informed us that she had found another pontoon boat for us to rent. We then were told that we could rent the same sized boat for the same price but for 2 hours less. When we questioned the fact that we weren't going to get what we had agreed upon she became angry and threatened to cancel the whole thing. I have a few questions. Does the Nautical Inn owner even own a boat? Is this a scam she runs on all her customers? Why did we have to pay of her misfortune? After spending so much money and time traveling for something you were promised, you would think she would have made things right. WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When all said and done...don't waste your time, money, and special occasion at the Nautical Inn. Best, Unsatisfied Customer

It's from the 1800s and it's in amazing condition considering that age. If you don't want all that goes with staying in a cool historical building, get a room at the Hilton and call it a day. Okay, rant over. Now the good stuff. We stayed in the veranda suite for a long weekend and it was WONDERFUL. The room is lined almost entirely in bookcases with cool old books to be perused and enjoyed. Upon check-in the man who greeted us and provided our key was the sweetest of guys and the rest of the weekend we were left in peace. No intrusive keepers here! We were greeted by a small basket of fresh local apples when we arrived and while it's a small gesture, it was well appreciated (there was a rosy apple with pink flesh in the mix that I'm newly obsessed with). There was a coffee/tea station outside our room, wine glasses to be used at our leisure, silverware, fridges in the room and outside of it for our restaurant leftovers, and a wet bar in the room itself. Amenities were few but thoughtful. And honestly I appreciated not having a ton of unnecessary bells and whistles. Ultimate highlight besides the cool library vibe: THE VIEW. the room comes with its own private porch with table, chairs, and porch swing where you can look right out onto Lake Geneva. No buildings stand in the way. You're right there on the lake. Very romantic with a bottle of wine and the fall rain we had while visiting. Definitely a deal maker. Location! We were walking distance to everything good. You're mere steps away from the harbor, restaurants, and the downtown. We walked everywhere with ease. The keepers of the villa offer free parking, as well. No parking hassles at all!! The only things i didn't *love* about the place were the size of our shower (way too small, I bumped my elbows constantly) and there is a moderate amount of noise from people walking upstairs from you (old house floorboards, after all). That being said, what you get with the Inn far outweighs those minor inconveniences. I'd definitely stay here again.
