I stayed here for one night with my boyfriend and we were very disappointed with the hospitality. We requested new sheets because there was blood on the current bed sheets. We had to walk to the front office and get the new sheets to make the bed ourselves. When we started removing the sheets from the bed we noticed a massive blood stain on the mattress pad. After walking to the office again to retrieve a new mattress pad we began making the bed ourselves and realized another blood stain on this mattress pad. We were extremely upset and requested a full refund but she declined and could only offer us a 2 hour extended check out time. This occurred at 10:00pm on New Years Eve and we were not able to find somewhere else to stay that matched the price. I do not recommend this place and will not be staying here again. read more

The rooms were spacious and clean-some reviews said outdated, but it fit with the style of the whole property. It was charming! You can see the owners take pride in their property. Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating when asked for towels and such. It was a humid high 90's weekend and we spent a lot of time in the pool which is very clean and a nice area! The only negative thing I could mention was the beds weren't the most comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. read more

I'm in town with my daughter for a softball tournament over Fourth of July weekend. We booked at Lake Geneva Lodge. After the first day we arrived and we're greeted immediately. The owner is charming and asked about the tournament and how we did, which I found endearing. The room was spacious and well kept. Yes-it's a little dated but everything is immaculate. Lots of power options, fridge, microwave, and eating area. We have another night here but currently we're both very pleased and got a great night sleep. read more

Lake Geneva Lodge is our new favorite spot! The property is somewhat small, which we really enjoyed. When we arrived and pulled up in our car we noticed it felt very home-y and welcoming. We checked in and met who we think was the owner. He was super friendly and polite! He offered us Lake Geneva magazines to look through, a Lake Geneva Lodge bottle opener, and even gave us both a goody bag! We went to our room and it was the perfect little room. It felt like we were in a cabin. There was nice lighting, more than enough power outlets, a great selection on the TV, the best shower I've ever seen in a hotel. We stayed December 30-January 1st and it was great. Checkout was nice and easy, and we left very happy and relaxed. Thank you Lake Geneva Lodge! :) read more

fantastic place-We were greeted warmly by the very friendly front desk person and given a gift bag with chocolate, lip balm, hand lotion and a notebook. Informed the heated outside pool was open till 10pm and if we wanted a bonfire, they would start one for us. The rooms were very clean shower was nice and parking was right outside the door. The ice machine is in a little shack and makes a racket but being outside did not bother anyone as it would in a hotel. The outside areas were beautiful with flowers, archways and sculptures all around. I would definitely stay again. read more

Just have to give another shout out to these beautiful amazing angles we had a issue with something personal and could not make it to the fest all 4 days and she was so nice to still hold our room since we paid for the reminder of the time we wanted to stay it was so relaxing for the one day we went up to stay very relaxing . I'm so so beyond greatful and happy to have Amazing people who really go above and beyond and really make everything the greatest stay ever cant wait to see you all soon . Completely forgot to write this review last year. Stayed here during the week last year and was very very happy with our visit. We've stayed at some other hotels in the area there before but wanted to save some money this year and liked the look of the rustic cabin type setup. Needless to say we were more than happy with staying here. Owners are extremely nice and attentive. Rooms were very very clean and cleaned daily. Pool was really nice and clean. Can't say I have even one gripe. Also really liked it was off the road a little bit so no traffic noise at all. Also quick walk or really quick drive from downtown Lake Geneva. Def will be staying here again when we come back read more

I recommended my family stay at this place as it was close to my residence, and advertised themselves as a family get away and also recommended for weddings and family gatherings. This was a terrible mistake. So much for trying to support local business. Next time I will recommend a chain such as Comfort Inn. No where on the website that I saw did it state that no one could come see your room or visit you on the property. My mom and two aunts are staying here so they could see my daughter while she is in town. We walked up to see their room and we were told we would be charged with trespassing if we were not registered to a room. It would be $12 per person per day if we wanted to use the pool or even visit their room. It did state on the contract that no visitors were allowed but by the time we had realized this we had already booked it and did not know this until they arrived. read more

An excellent value with incredible grounds suitable for our Chatty Ladies group consisting of 35 women bicyclists who rode throughout the surrounding countryside, returning to our resort in the midst of Lake Geneva for a dip in the pool. So clean. So refreshing. We booked all rooms and roamed freely throughout the superbly manicured grounds. We utilized their picnic tables to create a salad buffet and still had plenty of tables to sit at. The firepit was a super addition on their part and so welcoming with the seating around it begging you to sit and rest a spell. There are grills scattered throughout the property and we may utilize those next year. We all walked downtown. Super easy trip. We brought toasters for toasting breakfast items and utilized microwaves. Avante cycle is a brief walk downtown for those wanting a premium cup of caffenation. Enjoy! read more

3.5 Went here in April as part of a family mini-vacation. There was a miscommunication over the phone. We had 5 adults in our group and I though the lady said there were 3 bedrooms with 3 beds in the cottage. Turns out there were 2 beds in one room. Luckily she gave us a 2nd room for the same price (so we had 2 rooms but paid for 1 room). Pros - the windows were new, the sink hardware was stylish. It was quiet, there was a microwave & I believe a mini-fridge as well, pretty large size, they allow dogs which few places do, good location Cons - the decor is very aged, pretty dark even with all lights on, seems too expensive for what you get, the wifi didn't work in our room (signal was too weak) read more

Stayed in room 106. It was larger than most motels', and had a spacious table, fridge and microwave. Room was over-perfumed, but that was quickly solved by unplugging the glade and opening up the windows. Large lawn to enjoy lounging and picnics, and the operator let us use the pool late (until 11, as long as we kept quiet). Our neighbors were having a drunken BBQ, and their antics provided some great entertainment. I would stay here again. read more

I love going to Lake Geneva every year. This last time I brought along my sister, nieces, and nephew as well as their two pinchers. Since I couldn't stay where I normally stay due to their dogs, I found Lake Geneva Motel online and it was pet friendly. I admit that I was kind of scared of what to expect at first but as I soon as we pulled into the motel I noticed how clean and lovely it looked. When we checked-in the owner was very helpful to point out the amenities and the areas that the dogs were allowed on the property as well as the nearby restaurants that we might enjoy. Our assigned cottage was super clean and comfortable and we had a refrigerator, microwave and table that we could us. The motel also had picnic tables and grills that all guests are welcomed to use - which we did use. The motel also had a pool that seemed very was well maintained and the water was spotless and sparkling. The facility also provided clean towels near the poolside. I must admit that Lake Geneva Motel really super exceeded my expectations and I will not hesitate to return or recommend it. The location is also very convenient and it is very close to the lake as it is 3 or 4 blocks. Additionally, there is a nearby laundromat within walking distance we were able to dry our wet clothes and we found the nearby Walmart very close and convenient as it was literally an 8 minute drive. Another plus for this motel is that it is family owned and operated and the owners really ensured that our stay was pleasant. They seem to strive to constant improvements as they updating one of the smaller cottages next to ours. I highly recommend staying there and you won't be disappointment. read more

I will NEVER go there again!!! I'm not sure who writes the reviews on their web page giving them 5 stars and saying its such a wonderful place. Omg really!!!! I can't believe anyone would give such a dirty place ANY stars at all! It smelled awful, needed vacuumed, no fitted sheet on bed! BLACK MOLD on ceiling tiles!!! Crappy indoor outdoor carpet!!! Floors where leaning, cracked tiles in shower along with black mold! All together in major need of repair.... We paid $60 for the one night, and it wasnt worth $20.00 a night!!! read more

Compared to other rinky dink motels, this is by far a very nice motel. I simply loved it. I really liked the hotel/rustic cabin feel to it...decided to get away this summer for an overnight and we loved it. The pool while not as big as we anticipated was great and warm. No complaints. Over the years, since my pa died at age95, my siblings and I get together for a family reunion every two years. We always choose pleasant local motels that will let us move picnic tables and chairs around, cook on a grill, and have a todie or two as well. This year was my year to make plans and we chose Lake Geneva & this motel. One look convinced us that this was the place! Clean, neat, with accommodating people, spotless accommodations. 22 of us and all congratulated me on finding such a great place. Nearby is Popeye's with stupendous fish fry; Spido's for breakfast; Riviera for boat cruising; in Williams Bay, the Public House with great fish taco's, gourmet BLT's, and many other items. We went to celebrate our anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The staff was super friendly, room was great, and the location is amazing! Nice quiet and homey feeling rooms and Its right outside the city center, so you don't get all of the crowds, but it still just a short walk from the lake or the shops. Really a great deal. My Fiance and I were looking to go to a New Years Eve event in Lake Geneva and *everything* was either booked solid or had a pricetag of $500 a night. To complicate it, we also had two little dogs that we couldn't leave at home. We contacted the owners here and they were so incredibly nice! We ended up getting a room for $59 (plus $10 for the dogs) on New Years eve. If the price alone wasn't reason enough to give five stars, the room and service was. We expected a spartan, low end room and what we found was adorable instead. It was very quiet, clean and comfortable. It wasn't modern but it was very quaint. I'd compare it to a room you'd see at a respectable bed and breakfast in town. The manager was extremely accommodating and gave us directions and recommendations for restaurants in town. This will honestly be my go-to place for Lake Geneva in the future. read more

A quite and relaxing hideaway! We happened to drive by this place which is close to downtown and we really liked the landscaping and park like setting. We checked in one of their rooms in back building with two beds. Rooms were good size. cozy and comfortable. We planned to stay only night but we (especially my wife) loved the town and place so much that we decided to stay two more nights. The owners were so friendly and answered the phone even at wee hours in morning! They even gave us a discount coupon for the boat tour which we gladly accepted as the weather was perfect ! Overall, I highly recommend the place which is away at right distance from the hustle bustle of downtown. We are coming back again to take advantage of their outdoor pool which opens next week! read more

We went here based on the reviews. We have been camping, we have stayed in cabins and we have stayed at the Red Roof inn. So we did not go there expecting a 5 star hotel. We did however go in there expecting basic comfort. I can't even say that was met. I'll compare it to better then camping.... the sheets are not fitted, the blankets and sheets are really old our particular set had cigarette burns in them. The blanket and sheets did not provide enough warmth for 50 degree weather nights. The days were 70 degrees but the poor insulation in the bathroom and walls made for extremely cold nights. We left the door closed but the rooms were extremely drafty. Security is a MAJOR concern. Like other reviewers have stated the locks are dingy dollar store chain locks on the door. We were fortunate to have brought our dog with us (the only perk of this motel). The towels they provide have the thickness of a face towel. They are very worn and old, clean but old. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere. The staff is really nice, there is no question about it but not worth it. read more
