Ordered from Bellacino's for the first time in over 5 years and I was pleasantly surprised! While most places are reducing their portion sizes and jacking up prices, Bellacino's remains an excellent value with really tasty food, fresh ingredients, great prices, and above average quality. We ordered the Nachos Supreme, Cheesy Garlic Bread, and a kids ham and cheese grinder with fries. All were fresh, well-made, generously portioned, hot, and delicious. We also ordered an extra ranch and marinara for the garlic bread (chef's kiss). The anchors aren't particularly cheesy, so if you like that, I'd order them with extra cheese. The salsa and sour cream that comes with the nachos are really good! Next time I'll be ordering extra of both. Don't sleep on Bellacino's! I'd place them solidly above most other national pizza chains, but they obviously aren't on the level of the "Craft" and gourmet specialty local pizza places, offering coal-fired 12" pizzas for $35+ that are prolific nowadays. If you have a family to feed, their kids meals can't be beat! Bellacino's is a very solid, delicious, quality pizza and grinders place that's still affordable. UNEXPECTED BONUS: they have THE BEST SPRITE!!! I don't know why it tasted so good ... but it's mixed perfectly and tastes the way I remember it tasting back in the 1990s. Give them a try. read more

Grinders were tasty but appear to have way less meat and toppings than years past. For $9.91 for half a grinder, I could go to the local bar and get a decent grilled sandwich that would feed two people. Just a head's up on amounts. read more

Love the seafood and the turkey stuff from Bellacinos but recently in the past few months every time I order from the $20 Sub is all bread and lettuce and cheese. There's no seafood in there. There's no turkey in there and every time I tell them and complain about the same thing they continue to make it the same way I'm paying $20 for bread and lettuce whether it's this location or the Dearborn location. It's both the same thing. There are so many other restaurants out there they need to step up their game if they want people to continue to visit their restaurant. read more

My mom and I moved away from Michigan in 2010. We've been in Arizona ever since. This was one of our favorite restaurants growing up. Just wanted to leave a review of my experience. We walked in around 9:00pm.. the guy Jackson walked to the register and greeted us as soon as we got to the counter and looked down at the menu. We let him know we hadn't been here in a while, and that we would need a few moments to decide what we wanted. Once we were ready, he took our order with ease, asked if we wanted to add anything else which we did... We got a side of fries and she got a diet Coke, in addition to our sandwiches. I got the chicken, bacon ranch and my mother got the seafood grinder... We both got the 9 inch and we both finished our sandwiches and most of the fries; It was delicious. We decided to dine in so we could eat our sandwiches hot and fresh. We waited about 10ish minutes and a nice young lady Mary delivered our food to the table. The restaurant was calm and we watched about 11 different groups or individuals come in and either get an order for pick up or order carry out during the 40ish minutes we were here. This review may he a bit more brash in ratings than deserved but it comes off about 2 months of continued shit trap food and service from all my local restaurants in West dearborn... I ordered a reuben grinder. My mom got a Chicago steak grinder. My sandwhich has 4 ingredients. Corned beef, Swiss, dressing and saurkraut....they forgot the saurkraut and most of the dressing....and that statement on their menu about my corned beef being piled high....whomever wrote that was HIGH when they wrote it. I would like to start off by saying their large pizza is literally a dominos medium. Placed an order confirmed multiple times. We ordered a large cheese, veggie, and chicken pizza. Total was about 46 some change. Overall pizza was okay nothing out of the world but I wish the size was bigger! The person that took our order wasn't the most helpful either. read more

Bellacino's is one of those chains that doesn't get alot of love from the general public. This place is famous for their toasted subs. While they aren't the first sandwich shop to do it, I feel like they got the formula down right. Like the name suggests they do make pizzas too, but the baked grinder subs is what you really want. Not everything on the menu is a home run by any means, but if you know what to order you will never be disappointed. I feel like many of the negative reviews you read are from people who had unrealistic expectations about the food or service they would get. Have enjoyed this place for many years! Today! I decided to order a taco salad at a grinder place. The first salad ever from Bellacino's. This taco salad arrives and I'm thinking it will be your taco in a shell. No, it's piled high on a large oval plate. Like wow! I finished about half of it and took the other home. The salad was so overwhelming and I thought it was just alright. The beef, tomatoes, lettuce, and salsa were fresh. The flavor of the taco meat was a little lacking, the salad was missing the essential ingredient: tortilla chips! Yes there were some chips from what seemed like the bottom of the bag. I had a whole size pizza grinder. The taste was good, but there was not of it, the size, and what they put in it, has gotten smaller. The prices are about $18 for one whole size. The service was average, and the inside looks okay, there's a closed ice cream shop in there. It's obviously used for storage for them now. I would return when we get more in the sub, and prices are closer to $10 or so. Until then, it was good, just could had a better quality experience. read more

Ordered take out from here the other night. I'm only reviewing my order. Not my wife and kid's orders. I had the seafood grinder. Imitation seafood. For seafood lovers, I've already said enough. It was really disappointing. Especially because the bread is frickin' delicious. As is their garlic spread. But as soon as I opened my box and saw the imitation seafood, I was really bummed. If you're selling seafood on your menu, don't do it half heartedly. Use the real stuff. I'd be willing to pay a little more for quality ingredients. I was really let down by the rubbery, chewy, Carp that was on my grinder. I've learned my lesson. read more

I have been buying your Grinders for years and love them! However this past Monday, I ordered an 18" Italian and 18" Steak and cheese through Doodah. I was so disappointed in both With delivery and tip, etc. it came to over $49. I could live with that BUT both grinders were so salty it was like opening a salt shaker and just pouring it in my mouth. I left them over night in the frig. and re-heated the next day but it didn't improve the taste at all. Someone really needs to monitor or teach the cooks that you do not need a pound of salt on each grinder. It will be a while till I order again. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I ordered online and I got cinnamon sticks with my order, when I received them half of them were gone, I have ordered from this location multiple times before and have also eaten inside before covid and the cinnamon sticks have never been like this, the whole box is usually filled. When I called about it the staff was very rude and I had my mom drive back and show them and they told us that's "how they come" which isn't true at all and on top of that they were also rude to my mother. Anyways never again will I be coming here and they need to hire new people with better customer service. read more

I'm giving them one star because they smell like poop, or dirt. Whatever the heck it is, it stinks. Sometimes they leave them in the oven too long and they end up serving you burnt poop. I've always loved this place. There are plenty of "toasted sub" places out there but let me say a few words about some of those "others". Quizno's is good and probably the most well known. I like their prime rib sandwiches in particular but their regular sandwiches are decent as well. Subway? Well, let's just say their "toasted" subs are toasted in some sort of hybrid, microwave/toaster oven assembled by a mad scientist who thought his goal was to create a way to suck all the moisture out of bread. Eating a Subway toasted sub is like eating pre-packaged lunch meat sandwiched between two chalkboard erasers. When you bite into your sandwich and the bread disintegrates into a cloud of starch particles that cause coughing fits in unsuspecting passers-by, that's bad. Anyway, glad I got that off my chest. Back to the task at hand. Bellacino's. The great thing about Bellacino's is HOW they cook their subs (grinders). They actually bake them in a pizza oven. Forget about this "toasting" crap. COOK IT! IN AN OVEN! MAKE IT MEEEEELTYYYY!!! The bread is very fresh and the oven turns it into a warm, soft, chewy, crispy edged loaf of wonderfulness. Stick a bunch of high quality meat and cheese in there and add in some cold, crispy lettuce and tomato and you have yourself a handful of heaven. My favorite is the Italian which is topped with Mozzarella and actual pizza sausage and bell peppers. Lovely. Darn it, now I want one. Just took grandkids to lunch at Bellacino's #1 had a Club Grinder which he loved and would no share - I had a chicken salad - was ok fresh lettuce would have made it better - granddaughter had a 8" pizza... it was full of black hair - mixed in and cooked.... I took it up to counter to show them... they refunded the 7.00 for her pizza... said it was prepared last night soo it was not fresh.... and none of the help had HAIRNETS on.... will not return...... read more

This place is delicious, wow! I have come here twice for lunch and have enjoyed both experiences. I ordered the half tuna sandwich both times and was blown away! This sandwich is so freakin' delicious! Ordering is very quick, the food is inexpensive, and the delivery is efficient. The first time I came here I wasn't sure if I was supposed to wait for my food at the counter or if they would bring it to the table, that was a little confusing. But they do bring the food to your table, they take your name when ordering and shout it out when they walk into the "dinner room" and you just kind of raise your hand and they walk over to you. They also clean the tables so you don't have to throw anything away, you just leave everything on the table. I work right down the street and will definitely keep this place in mind whenever considering lunch! Oh, and they also have an ice cream bar for dessert! read more

The Dearborn location is horrible... Place a simple order and they did not get it right... Called to ask them and they wanted to argue and insist we did not order it without tomatoes.. ( Have A Horrible Food Allergy and order everything the same way for 50 years) Wanted a refund and they just wanted to make it over... Walked into a completely empty store around 8:30. I noticed that two employees behind the counter had their masks below their chins, yet when I walked in without a mask, (post Michigan Mandate lift) the Manager asked if had a mask. The food in this place is great. They always have a clean dining room. The staff are friendly and courteous. I wish that I could talk about the ice cream and pizza that this place has, but unfortunately my wife and I just can't get past the grinders. My wife and I have just fallen in love with their grinders. They make their own bread fresh every day. Not too many sub shops make their own bread. The fresh bread makes all the difference in flavor and texture. It takes them to a level above a lot of the competition whom don't use fresh baked bread. Their best grinder by far though has to be the Chicago Steak Grinder. I have had authentic Philly Cheese Steaks made by sub shops which were franchises of famous Philadelphia Cheese Steak restaurants before, but I believe that Bellachino's Chicago Steak Grinder beats those sandwiches. Bellachino's Chicago Steak Grinder has toasted bread with a garlic sauce on it which gives it a decadent garlic bread taste and mouth feel to it. It layers on the thin sliced rib eye steak, the mushrooms, the onions and the melted cheese. The cheese...wow...they put a lot of cheese on this sandwich. The combination of flavors and textures is magic. However, the combination of garlic bread flavor with lots of melted cheese is what really puts the Chicago Cheese Steak over the top when compared to the more famous Philly Cheese Steak. It makes the Phiadelphia Cheese Steak look kind of bland by comparison. Bellachino's Chicago Cheese Steak Grinder deserves to be famous too. read more

Just love their thin crust pizza and greek salad. Always eat in doesn't taste as good when it gets cold. The grinders are good too, they have a hagen daz ice cream station for creating your dessert if you have the room. Just one thing, they have had a piece of new food service machinery in the seating area covered in plastic for over a year now, whats up with that?
