We Door Dashed this lunch. The sandwich was delicious. The bread was crusty on top and soft In the middle. The vegetables were delicious crisp and fresh. The meat was fresh and tasty being layered upon each other thinly sliced. I should have asked for extra Italian dressing on the side. This is a huge sandwich and well worth the money. This place is great! They are channeling real italian subs. Think Gonellas subs. Order by the Layer. Real deal Italian side items as well. Grab your beverage from the pop machine on the side. Good service, friendly people, fast and efficient with fair prices. Subs: Good, Soft Bread, Held up for the 14 Layer Sandwich. 14 Layers was really good. If Gonellas is a 10, Then Lunch Wyandotte is a 8.5. However, They were out of Salami so it was substituted with Turkey. That 8.5 could be higher if it was with Salami, I'll have to come back and try it again. The meat itself tasted of good quality, Capicola was definitly tasty. Sandwich could use a bit more shredded onion and lettuce in my opinion. The olive oil in the italian dressing was so rich! The pasta salad was a little sweet to me, which im not a fan of. The price is great at $1.50 for the side dish, But i probably wont get it again. I can definitly see this place staying around and becoming a Wyandotte Staple. I ordered from DoorDash a few months ago and the store marked my order as "out of stock" and told me I'll need to reorder, repay, and call DoorDash for a refund. Wasn't the greatest experience so I just canceled the entire order. Fast forward to a few months later and I decided to give it another try. The ordering process was much smoother and faster. Overall, it was a good sub but nothing spectacular. If I had the choice to order this again or try somewhere else for a sub, I would definitely try somewhere else. I walked up to the window at lunch yesterday for my very first visit. Upon a friend's recommendation, I ordered a number six and I added hot cherry pepper sauce. I opted for a to-go order, though if the weather was better it would have been nice to sit under the flowers near the big clock. I think this place would be awesome for people who eat meat. Not too impressive for vegetarians. Their vegetarian subs have cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion. I don't think they should be charging $7 for that, their cheapest meat sub is also $7..... so basically I paid the same price for something that has no meat? The bread is incredibly soft, however their is no flavor when you eat the sandwich, all I could taste was lettuce and onion...no hint of cheese or dressing. (I did get dressing on the side and poured it on with every bite ). Veggies were super fresh. The sides were huge for $1.50. Was able to share with coworkers. Potato salad 2/5- Bland, no seasoning, if we had some seasoning at work I'm sure it would have brightened it up. Service was quick & friendly. I sent my daughter to pick it up because Biddle was closed. They moved locations & that was a tad confusing. Immediately after pick up we noticed an old rank smell. It was nauseating. I made my daughter remove the subs from the bag because I was sure it was the bag. Fast forward to getting home. The bread tasted just like the smell. Great sandwich. Walk up to one window to place your order, and pick up a couple feet to the left at the other window. Bread was soft and delicious. The meats were extremely well flavored and the dressing was the perfect amount. Not dry, but not soaking wet. The potato salad was good but we didn't care much for the cole slaw. read more

Lunch is now my go-to sub spot in Wyandotte. They are very similar to Gonella's but much closer to work for me. Until now, the best option in Wyandotte was jimmy john's, which isn't very good... being from NJ, I take my Italian subs very seriously. I am giving it four stars because of the bread and the service. The bread feels a bit underbaked. And they don't offer hard rolls like at Gonella's. As for the service, it is just a bit slow. It can take 15-20 min to get your sub even with only a few people ahead of you. However, it must be noted that only 1 person is often working there, so they are definitely understaffed like most places are these days. read more

This may be the coolest addition to Wyandotte and it's downtown strip. It's a walkup and order type joint, with table with umbrellas also available to customers. Parking is usually readily available along the street, and often available right in front. For years, the only place around to get subs like you can get at Lunch, was Gonella's, a ways away, and well off the beaten path at the Dearborn/Detroit border. In an industrial wasteland loaded with smog and really no redeeming qualities to sit and have lunch. I've since stopped going to Gonella's since trying Lunch Wyandotte. Not to mention Lunch has a new pizza sub. It's so good, worth the try. It's made getting the old steady "8 & 2" take the back burner, which I never thought possible lol Their employees have all been cool as well. Easy to place orders with, some even shared how they prefer their subs when asked. That's something I appreciate, it tells me this employee has had & enjoys their food, and knows the menu. The owner is also friendly, he shared the history of the building, how he got started, all with a friend when she was waiting for her sub to be made. The interior food making station is clean and orderly. Wait time is standard for having a handmade sub put together. Downside: I will say that the yellow jackets buzzing around in the summer were problematic. I'm not sure what would hinder this problem though I would like to see more effort put into curtailing this, if possible. Synopsis: I still give 5 stars since the yellow jackets are only problematic a very short time of the year. This little lunch spot is the food joint i never knew Wyandotte needed. This place has had quite a buzz on the local community sites since opening. I fianally managed to get there. My sub was absolutely delicious. The Italian meats and cheeses were very high quality. This is carry out only but there are some outside tables to eat at. Wyandotte has a number of sandwich shops but this is undoubtedly the best. read more

It was OK. It was one of those I didn't dislike the food... I just ate it. I got early and a line was already forming behind me so business must be good. Happy for them! The main subs come in different priced layers. The more layers of meat and cheese the more it costs. Simple Easy. The sub was very affordable since some place can charge upwards of $20 for a large heated sub. The subs are simple. Slices of cold cuts and cheese on a bun (which I found was a little too big for my liking - too much extra bread that I ended up tossing out). They used fresh lettuce, onions, spices and an oil and vinegar dressing to top it off. They offer sides for $1.50 which were very affordable but bland and since we get shop there regularly, could tell they were tub GFS potato salad and the very finely chopped and distinct, you never forget the flavor, GFS coleslaw. I am not a fan of either and ended up tossing them. Soup was Chef Francisco and having tried most of them know they are all pretty good. Great location and the walk up business should be great for a long time to come. Will I come back? Probably if I am ever downtown walking around and want a quick affordable bite to eat. This is a cute little place on Biddle in downtown Wyandotte. It's a walk up (takeout) only, but there are some tables and chairs outside that you can sit and eat. I ordered the Italian sub-and it was SO GOOD! I will definitely be a returning customer. read more
