I wanted to update my review. Today, I got the MT Takes Manhattan pizza. Absolutely outstanding! It did not disappoint! Perfection all the way around from the crust, NYC pizza sauce, cheese and pizza toppings. This pizza has a great flavor profile (cuppy pepperoni, italian sausage, shaved garlic, dollops of ricotta and calabrian peppers). I personally love their italian sausage which is fresh, cooked and pinched in-house. I did a online order which you can set up a reward program (which who doesn't love rewards) & I ordered the Johnny M Mega roll (just cheese & pepperoni) with I have to add i have been lookjng for a good pizza rolll for a while & every where i have tried one they have not cut it for me. Something was missing but this BIG MONSTER was IT. Its loaded with cheese & pepperoni I added garlic parm on top of it also. I ordered the tater swift pizza that has Thin Sliced Potatoes, Crispy Bacon, Wisconsin Brick Cheese, Tito's Vodka Sauce, and Green Onion.. that pizza is AMAZING ....... When I walked in I liked the scenery because it was set up with Christmas stuff for the holidays and I liked the music they were playing. They have a bar and stools so you can sit and eat but I don't remember seeing dining tables. This place is an absolute hidden gem! First off, staff is incredibly friendly and personable. The feeling in here is like being back in the basement that I grew up in. Old school nostalgia (jukebox, Nintendo, action figures, a wall of VHS with movies playing at the bar). I drove 40 minutes to try their pizza and I couldn't be happier. I just wish they were located closer to me. And for the most important part, the pizza. I brought my wife and two kids. All four of us agreed, best pizza we've had in quite a long time. The pizza was not greasy, the sauce wasn't acidic (suffer from reflux) and the crust and undercarriage was perfectly crisp! Definitely go here for some amazing deep-dish pizza. The deep-dish grandma dottie is the best. Eat it there though, as its best fresh and hot. Skip the non-deep-dish pizzas, as they are quite expensive and mediocre, as the 3 I got were all dry (hardly any sauce) and always slightly burnt. We've driven by this place a lot of times and decided to stop in and try the pizza. It was delicious! The atmosphere was very retro and quaint. It was really good and flavorful, but I'd order it with more Bleu cheese next time because I could barely taste it. The deep dish was delicious- crispy, crunchy, airy. It's almost a thin deep dish. I liked the change up. The cheese bread was good too. It had nearly the same crust we the pizza, just a bit thinner. When I walked in, I didn't know it was going to be so cute. Ever been hanging out in your friends basement, as a kid? This is the vibe of this very small bar/restaurant. Basement tile floor, 70's mod wallpapered walls, beer signs and beer stained glass lampshades. You feel at home when you walk in. Bartender/wait staff greets you when you come in, very welcoming. Had the Tiki special cocktail called painkiller- 1/3 of the way and it was doing it's name justice. Friend had a Griffin Claw pineapple cider, very tasty. Had the large Dream Supreme, with butter garlic crust, so good. Nice balance of sauce, toppings, crispy on the bottom. Everyone was having a good time, seemed like people knew each other, friendly and casual. The people that own it have a couple other bars, this one does not feel like the other 2. We ordered 2 pepperoni and cheese rolls. They are smaller and thinner than they were with the original owners. Todd gave me mine and the dough was so thin like a piece of paper thin, the dough was not sealed to the underside to secure it. There was enough pepperoni to use on a Large Pizza. So I cooked it for 10 mins on 1 side and 5 mins on the other side. It was still pretty doughy. So I went to put it on my plate and found a hair, so I thought it was mine. Last night, I visited MT's Pizza King and loved the fun, nostalgic atmosphere with classic Nintendo games and Motown hits. FYI, Mondays are Motown nights! Andrew, the staff member, was very welcoming and explained their specialties. MT's Pizza King is great for all ages and has a bar. I had a simple pepperoni and cheese pizza, and it was perfect. This is my local pizza joint and I love their food but their service is so annoying. They've recently added a text service when your order is complete. I received my text at 8:2 and waked in at 8:22. I watched the back of the house work and side eye me for the next 10 minutes while my food sat in the hot box. It wasn't busy and I'm still going to come back here but at no point should this ever happen where I walk into a business and stand there for 10 minutes without even a greeting. read more

Checking out the online menu there were 2 different "gourmet subs", and what I ordered from the website was have ham, salami, cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion; just what I wanted. Imagine my surprise with a hard roll instead of the pizza dough roll, capicola and pepperoni with spices. The sub was ok, but not what I wanted; reminded me of a Jimmy John's sub. Wanted to see what the hype was about and was not disappointed! We ordered the knots, pepperoni roll, and some small pizzas to try a variety of items I've seen mentioned on fb. Deeeeeez Knots were garlicky and hot, nice light crunch with a pillowy inside. Dipped in their amazing ranch and pizza sauce. The pepperoni roll tasted like the ones we used to order as a kid, full of toppings with a great bread/sauce ratio. Tito's Vodka pie has amazing sauce and the toppings are a perfect complement. Grandma Pearl was a surprising favorite of my husband, the addition of the corn was a nice added layer of flavor. MT Margherita and Old Fashioned Pep have such a great sauce. We won't be back. My family use to order food from here fairly regularly before they moved and before the change in ownership. It was always pretty good for a quick and fair priced meal. Things have changed for the worse. My wife ordered a sub of some sort. It was dry and just meh. We also ordered fried cheese sticks. They were your basic frozen cheese stick. But when have you ever ordered cheese sticks that do not come with a sauce of some sort. Did they cheap out on this or just forget? Nobody knows. The final straw was my cod dinner. Horrible. Inedible. The fries are basic frozen fries as expected. There was an option when ordering for salad dressing that cost $.50 but there is no salad. And the fish...a little over an inch thick. Unfortunately the actual fish is only about 1/4" thick and the rest is uncooked batter. So thick that it was raw inside. Waste of money. read more
