I've waited a while to leave this review because we were…read moresettling an insurance claim for negligence because of the damage done to our house by IKB as well as Jorge's (aka George's) mother, Janet's, team of people. It took almost two years to settle and we only got back a fraction of what it has cost us to remediate the various issues. It has been three years since they began work on our house and we continue to find issues with the work that they did. Literally NOTHING was done right... Not even grouting tile in the bathroom or laying laminate floors, which are two of the easiest things that any company can do. Their labor team is under-skilled, unqualified, unlicensed, and undocumented. They are also poorly supervised and left to do the job without anybody watching to make sure that major mistakes are not made. There's way too much that went wrong for me to list here, but I would highly suggest that you pass on IKB and find somebody else to do your work. You should also know that many of the positive testimonials on their website and their Google reviews were written by friends and family members.

They have excellent communication, which seems rare these days...they gave us a detailed quote and timeline for when each step would take place. They had a meeting with us to go over every detail of the contract. They go above and beyond, so don't expect them to be the cheapest...expect them to do it right. While they were at our home measuring, I mentioned that we may need a new roof. They immediately contacted a reputable roofer that they use and we got an inspection that same day. After a couple of quotes, we decided to use their roofer. Our new roof was installed yesterday and we couldn't be happier. The entire process went smoothly. Tom searched tirelessly for matching wood floor to cover a small gap due to a closet that they tore out and the end result was flawless. They also installed a drain in our crawl space, a pump and humidifier and encapsulated the entire area. The crew, lead by Mitchell, was meticulous and partnered with us every step of the way. We agreed on a very specific job - then they conducted work TOTALLY outside of the agreement then charge you for it. They absolutely violate any contract and agreement. When we brought up the agreement and specs of the original work - they threatened, harassed, cursed, and acted totally unprofessionally. Unfortunately for them - they did this over email so we have a paper trail with their unprofessionalism. (Photos to come later). Ultimately they could not argue against their original agreement, and we did not pay for the work that was not agreed upon. BUT then that's when the retaliation began (note the harassment I detailed above and the job they left undone afterward)... 2. They do not show up on the schedule date or time. They have really poor communication skills, and arrived at a random date and time that worked for them - again - outside of what was agreed upon. 3. The workmanship was terrible - the fences they installed went outside our property line, cracked and broken portions, and they left the job incomplete and left all of their mess in our driveway that we then had to clean up ourselves (I'm talking wood, concrete, dust, nails, just all their mess and materials). 4. We have alerted this company to our local realtor community - and they have all agreed they will not be working with them again. I do not see them lasting much longer in business. Repeat - this place is a scam - be very careful when dealing with them - and please find another company with ethical practices, better reviews, and a better reputation.

My father died of colon cancer and carcinomatosis only 3 and a half months after being diagnosed. We were very eager to get out of the house he died in and move my mother to Nashville to be with me. When first speaking with the men at CSSI we were told there would be a 3 week to 1 month wait. Upon explaining our situation and our need to be out of this house, they made arrangements to help us immediately. Not only were they very sensitive to our situation, they really came through for us. The people at CSSI are genuinely good people. They care and it shows. Lee is the upstanding man we worked with and he got our hardwood ready in a week so we would be ready to move in by our move in date. The house is beautiful and they did an absolutely amazing job.
