BEST URGENT CARE ER EVER!!!!! There is a reason this place has 5 stars!!! Nurse Phuong and Doctor Tran are absolutely wonderful!!!! I came here from the airport because I had severe chest pains and needed to figure out what it was. I immediately got processed and placed in a room where the doctor spoke with me and the nurse took my vitals. Soon after I received my CT and an EKG. They waited on me hand and foot (blanket, water, etc.). Got my results (all is well) and the doctor answered every question. The nurse was phenomenal too and also answered every question. So glad I drove out of my way to come here. When you are a little nervous, need to be seen quickly, and want to go somewhere where they will treat you well, this is the place!!!! read more

Great facility! Front desk staff are very polite and helpful. The check-in process is super fast and easy. Medical staff is very professional and nice. The room was very clean as well! Excellent experience here from the time I arrived until the time I left. There was no wait. Noor & Monica were amazing. Both professional but playful. They really made me feel at ease the whole time I was there. Sadly, I had minimal interaction with Dustin, but the few times we spoke he was kind. Dr. Q. was wonderful and thorough. Went to Bellaire ER for a sports physical for my daughter. The staff at the front desk, nurse, and technician (Jay, Adriana, Erik) were lovely, very pleasant. Dr. Phi, however, had no bedside manner at all - When he came in, he never introduced himself to me or my daughter, did not make eye contact, did not smile, barely asked two questions. Did the exam, signed the paper, left the room. Since this was just a routine sports physical, it was adequate, but I would never want to see him if we truly had a medical concern! Perhaps he is more attentive in a different situation, but he certainly did not make a positive impression. I'm still giving 4 stars for the rest of the staff, as they are not responsible for the MD's demeanor. read more

Went in on Halloween after cutting my finger and there was no wait, that is a plus. Other than that the only thing that made the experience good was the nurse, I think her name was Arianna or Adrianna. If it weren't for her I would have given less stars. I had to give Bellaire ER a 2, just so people would take notice. I was in there on a Friday night with extreme pain in my stomach, chest that radiated to my shoulder. The doctor and nurses there that night were awesome. They checked my heart, lungs, drew blood and found nothing out of the ordinary and sent me home with pain medicine. They thought I pulled a muscle. I didn't and I knew that because I'm an athlete. I didn't take the pain medicine bc I didn't want to mask any symptoms. Here's where I tell you the worst part of Bellaire ER. The doctor herself called me the next morning, leaving me a voicemail, asking how I was and could I please call her. I called her back bc I was still in a lot of pain. I told the receptionist the doctor had called for me and the receptionist said "no, that was just a courtesy check up call." Then promptly hung up after explaining they do that for everyone. Error number one, because the doctor did need to talk to me and the receptionist didn't know anything. Finally, because I was still in tons of pain, that evening I called the ER again, and the doctor (different guy, Dr. Q I think) said- we've been trying to reach you. We asked for you to call us. Hello? I did call and was brushed off by the receptionist. Anyhow- they asked for me to come back in, because they didn't like my bloodwork. Dr. Q was wonderful....Genuinely concerned. After getting checked in, they changed doctors again and Dr. Darren Myers popped his head in and said hello. I never saw him again until the very end when he came to tell me what was wrong. This guy has NO bedside manner. Here I was sitting in this room for 3 hours, in pain, and the Dr. Myers comes in, stands all the way across the room, with one hand on the door knob, ready to take off again, like I'm a waste of his time. He curtly tells me what they've found- with no explanation. Before he goes to leave, I have to ask him to wait a minute, because I had questions. Without going in details about what was wrong with me, I simply asked him 2-3 questions, to which he said, "I don't know, you need to ask your PCP." You're an ER doctor and you don't know???? Now- maybe this guy just had a bad night, his eyes were all blood shot- maybe he himself was sick- but please- just show some compassion! I was crying more over the way he treated me than anything else. So- everyone was great, both nights, except the receptionist, who lacked information and the head doctor, Dr. Darren Myers. Was visiting family in Houston this weekend and woke up feeling terrible. Stomach pains, vomiting, (the other end too), nausea, weakness, etc. Being out-of-towners, the husband did a quick search and found this place close by. They got me in quickly and within minutes an IV was started for dehydration and anti-nausea meds for the vomiting and nausea. Also had a blood test and CT of the abdomen to rule out anything serious after bloodwork came back a litltle off. Dr. Phi, nurse Phuong and Erik the radiology tech were caring, attentive and thorough. They even filed insurance for us so we didn't have to pay anything up front. I'm sure I'll be receiving some bills soon (as is the norm for these things) so I will update my review if I run into any billing issues, but for now, 5 stars. read more

My husband was up most of the night with severe abdominal pain and nothing would help so at 2:30 in the morning we drove over to the Bellaire ER for help. It was very quiet unlike hospital ER's and the service and attention we received was exceptional. Kerri, the nurse on call, immediately got him on an EKG, since he had a history of heart trouble and did the blood draws. The doc was able to determine quickly that it was not his heart and was able to relieve his pain with an anti-inflammatory. We were home by 4:30 which I consider to be very efficient timing for an ER visit. They were very friendly and responsive. read more

I went with my grandmother today because she was feeling numbness in her arms and legs, both nurses who saw her, Adriana and Chris, were very professional and caring with her. The Doctor attended us very quickly and ran the necessary tests. We were thankful to know it was nothing major. We did not have to wait to be seen and it was very nice. I went to Bellaire ER because of an eye injury. I was able to register ahead of time, so they were expecting me when I got there. Jay at the front desk was very friendly. Grossly overpriced service. Any proprietor who runs this type of establishment and doesn't fully disclose the cost with customers is a crook. $2,053.19 (after insurance) for an ear infection is ludicrous; an urgent care center would charge one tenth that much. I went to this ER over Memorial Day weekend due to an ear issue that came up suddenly. I was in/out (with my issue fully treated) within an hour!! Every member of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The greatest experience I've ever had in an ER. Would definitely go back here if the need arises. read more

I cut off the tip of my finger last month on a Friday night and needed emergency attention asap. I chose to go to Bellaire ER because they are in the neighborhood and I was in too much pain to try to find the regular ER in the Med Center. I didn't have to wait to be seen and Dr. Quintanilla, Fatema and the rest of the staff were all very professional. I was afraid that my finger would be deformed or just a nub for the rest of my life but it has healed very well thanks to Dr. Q's precision and expertise. They denied me medical treatment because I refused to give them my social security number!! I had proper identification and insurance, yet I had to stand there (bleeding) and argue with them that there was no legitimate reason why they would need my SS number! I finally left, and went to another ER on Rice Blvd, where I was immediately admitted, and where I didn't have to give my SS number. Bellaire ER is the only medical place I have been to in the last ten years or so where I have been refused care because I didn't give them my social. read more

If I could give this so called ER negative stars, I would. First, I took my friend back to this place because the nurse gave an injection in the arm instead of buttocks and it became an abscess. The nurse Phuong is so incompetent of even being a nurse. It wasn't even in the deltoid. Secondly, this so called nurse was pushy for us to leave a review before we left the ER...demanding she watch us leave a review. This is not a good practice. And those damn shoes were not even on her feet, she just clanks around and shuffles as she walks...sloppy and unsafe. Pushy & incompetent...STAY AWAY from Bellaire ER. They need to be shut down. They only care about reviews and not having competent ER nurses or physicians. I'm reporting her and this ER to the board and state! TERRIBLE PLACE. read more

UPDATE: I'm very happy to report that Dr. Quintanilla (Dr. Q) called me personally on 05/08/17 regarding my visit and subsequent review. Dr. Q took accountability for what had occurred on my visit, advised that my concerns had been addressed. That in-itself made me appreciate the steps taken and makes me feel much better about this ER. I normally not one to write reviews but just could let this go. I had an issue with severe pain that I was 90% certain was due to esophagus spasms since I've had the problem in the past. I couldn't get an appointment with my primary care physician and knew I had to get some type of relief since I hadn't slept in 3 days because of the pain. I got online and read the 'glowing' reviews of Bellaire ER and was convinced this was my best option. The good was that the place is very clean and appealing. There was no waiting, and the receptionist and nurse were very personable. Was taken to an exam room immediately and the nurse began a medical history which I detailed including amount other things that I was stage 4 renal failure. The doctor came in very shortly thereafter. From here, the doctor began another medical history, asking most of the same questions I had answered with the nurse. The doctor asked how my condition began. While he was still writing, I had told him that 3 days prior I had awaken with a terrible headache which eventually caused me to be nauseated and felt the need to vomit, but only had dry heaves and that it was during this that I felt the strain in my chest. His very next question was - have you had any nausea or vomiting with this? My response was only what I just told you about 3 days and ago and nothing since. It made me feel he hadn't been listening to me. Being that it was pain the chest, they came back with an estimate with a full cardiac work up that included an EKG, Chest X-ray, and several labs, which honestly I can understand why they would recommend. Being that I had had just had a complete work up and having experienced this in the past I declined everything but the chest x-ray. In the meantime I was brought what I was told was a GI cocktail which consisted of Maalox mixed with lidocaine and 4 aspirin. After a few minutes the doctor and nurse came in to say that the x-rays were clear and asked how I was feeling. I indicated that the GI cocktail had seemed to have helped as the pain subsided but hadn't gone away. The doctor said I must have been right about my thoughts on what the pain was. He then proceeded to say he was going to prescribe Protonix for me. I immediately asked if that was appropriate since I wasn't experiencing acid reflux and since I've been told that PPI's were causing kidney issues was this a suitable choice? Never got a response and the doctor and nurse left the room. In a few minutes the nurse came back with a dose of Clonidine (to relax blood vessels) and Zofran (for nausea and vomiting which I was not having) and discharge order with a diagnosis of GERD and a prescription for Zofran. Again did not have a complaint of nausea or vomiting, but with the spasms seemingly to be under control, I just left. After being home a couple of hours the lidocaine must have begun to wear off because the spasms and pain began to return. When the pain got too unbearable again, I called back to ask if they could call in a prescription to help with the spasms and pain, which they indicated they would do. After 1.5 hours no prescription, called the nurse who indicated she had an issue getting through to the pharmacy but would handle it right then. Wait again, same story. After several calls back to the nurse she said it wasn't her fault and it had to be with my pharmacy. After suffering in pain for 5 hours, my nerves were raw and patience gone, I was curt and said this as ridiculous and felt I had wasted my time and money. In a few minutes the nurse did call back and tell me that the pharmacy indicated they had filled the prescription hours previously and I should just go pick it up and not bothering to call to check on it. Well I called anyway and the pharmacist knew who I was immediately, and said they were in the process of filling the prescription because it had JUST been called in. When I picked up the prescription, it was for Sucralfate which was indicated for ulcers which I don't have, but doing my research found there were use precautions for patients with kidney disease because of aluminum toxicity that could occur. Seems that the prescription wouldn't helped my symptoms and could have caused additional damage to my kidneys. Was no once concerned about my renal failure besides me? Again felt I wasted my time and money. Wish I had the same experience that so many other reviewers had, had! read more

I went to this clinic for flu. Because it was Sunday and I was too sick I could not wait till Monday to call my family doctor. Before I saw the doctor, I was told that without insurance, I would be charged $500. Because I have insurance, I paid 20% of that amount. After a month, I found that the clinic has billed my insurance for over $2000, and I am responsible for over $1000. This is totally a different story than what I was told in the clinic. I feel this is a rip off and even fraud. read more

Went in with foot pain, along with a friend who had bronchitis, after he examined and touched my feet he went on to examin my friend WITHOUT washing his hands.(wewere in the same room) I am speaking about Dr, Quintanilla. He then ran tests, after charging us before every exam. Told me I might have a condition, but I might not, the test had come out negative. Then he went on to write that condition on my report which then became a pre existing condition on my health insurance. I called four times to get the report fixed. No one ever responded. He pushed drugs, yes, if you need hydrocodone, this is the place to go. He not only offered it to me, but to my friend, and insisted on getting the script filled for my friend. I could not walk, but I have never heard of hydrocodone given for bronchitis. He also wanted to run thousands of dollars of exams on my friend.....this place is a scam. The people here do not care about their patients, they just want your money. Ooh, and they don't accept insurance, you have to pay upfront, the secretary gave some balony story of not being able to reach the toll free 24 hour number listed on my insurence card, not even from her cell phone. A DOCTOR NOT WASHING HIS HANDS IS INEXUSABLE, RUNNING $$$ EXAMS JUST BECAUSE HE CAN, WONT ACCEPT INSURANCE, WRITING HIS UNFOUNDED OPINION ON A MEDECAL REPORT, PUSHING DRUGS, now I am only able to leave a review but I am pursuing a formal complaint. Do not go to this urgent care center. Another thing, We were there for seven hours......hospital just might have been faster. read more

Because it was close to my work and because I didn't have another option that day since my ingrown nail started to bother me more and I couldn't wait for my appointment 2 days later with my regular foot doctor. I went to Bellaire ER and consultation is $250! Wouldn't have mind paying that but the crappy service I received was my worst experience! I had an ingrown nail and Doctor that removed my nail seemed like he didn't know what the hell he was doing bc he almost removed half of my nail!!! Please don't go there to get your ingrown nail removed! I wish i could go back time and gone somewhere else! These people are incompetent!! read more

I gave the lady my insurance and i was told that i had to pay upfront 250.00 before services are rendered. When i asked for it ro be billed they said no because of my deductible was too high. Well i just read previous comments before i even went there but how the hell do you see a person without insurance before a person with insurance. Just wondering if its a color then!! I recently moved to Houston and was unable to schedule a timely appointment with the primary physician assigned by my insurance company, so I had to resort to a walk-in clinic. My physical condition was worrisome, but the staff at Bellaire ER took great care of me, ran a battery of tests to eliminate any life-threatening issues, and recommended the appropriate follow-up steps. Everyone at the center was very helpful and friendly, including the receptionists, nurses, doctor, RAD tech, and ultrasound tech. Dr. Hussaine has a great sense of humor and took the time to answer any and all of my questions. All the test results were quickly assessed. This is the most personal and thorough treatment I've ever received from medical staff. Nurse Phuong (and the earlier nurse who drew my blood samples---sorry, I missed her name) were both extremely helpful and attentive to my comfort and needs, including providing snacks and drinks during my extended stay. read more

I am extremely pleased with the level of service at Bellaire ER. I came in with severe pain from a kidney stone. I was immediately given a room assessed. My nurse, Phuong, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She checked on me frequently and was extremely helpful. Dr. Weinberg and Cris were also wonderful. Thank you for all your help! read more
