I have to at Bellaj so many times over the years and never wrote a review. Last night we got to participate in a graduation party at Bellaj. This banquet hall is beautiful, clean and has great customer service. The food is good and freshly made. The mezze options are great, the salads are fresh and delicious. They serve a few course dinner and everything tasted good. I especially loved the fried potato, pork and veggie dish. So flavorful. The Armenian style BBQ is served with rice at every event. They also offer seafood dishes. We ate so much last night that I'm still not hungry. .... Joking Anyway if you are having an event or planning to order catering for an event consider Bellaj you won't be disappointed. read more

Horrible people horrible service. All you need to do is drive by their business. They leave all there food on the ground where the homeless pee and poop...niiice blocking the sidewalk where people are supposed to be walking near the handicapped parking. The man who unloads blocks both handicapped spots often claiming he's handicapped and needs them all to work...wow he is very very disrespectful to women constantly. I would rather eat at 7 11. I had my wedding here. The owner and staff are very accommodating. We requested to have part Indian/Armenian wedding here as well as the reception. The staff helped me with the decor, DJ and helped me choose the foods. As stressful as weddings can be, they made it easy for me. They even suggested that I bring alcohol from outside so that would help keep the price down. The owner allowed me to have use of his office to change dresses from Indian to modern American. It was nice to have a quiet, clean and comfortable place to go and freshen up. On the wedding day, even though I barely even ate (as most brides don't), everyone kept complimenting the great food. The staff were incredibly helpful and kept checking in with me periodically to see if there is anything else they can do. For anyone that's looking to throw a party, wedding or for any occasion needs a nice place, this is the place. The hall is beautifully decorated and the bathrooms are clean. read more

I have only been on the outside of this banquet hall, But I felt it necessary to mention a few things about the what-nots that actual guests might not take notice to. This banquet hall is located in medium sized strip mall setting that shares parking with a small gym, a physical therapy office, a 7-11, and a laundry mat. I'm sure the inside is lovely and they roll out the red carpet and valet your car right at the entrance to the shared parking lot. However... They also double park and limit access to the other business's which is my biggest complaint. And although they don't operate every night, I just don't feel they are entitled to ruin the experience of other business's patrons. Which they clearly do! It's really frustrating! And I hope management sees this review and adjusts their parking policy to better accommodate the needs of everyone. On a positive side for the business, I have walked by on days where they have an open barbeque going, and it smells delightful. The valet are dressed professionally. And the outside of the building, although nothing fancy, is well maintained. I hope one day to attend a banquet here so to further elaborate on my review. But as a frequent patron of the gym, I have to voice the frustration of the arrogance this business exudes with regards to the parking situation. read more

Excellent food and great price for a beautifully decorated venue! Hamlet was helpful and courteous when we spoke. He congratulated us on our marriage and made sure to tell us to eat and enjoy our food ASAP otherwise we would get too busy (and he was right). My wedding guests all agreed the food was excellent and plentiful. Cash only and they do not have a sound system in house, so keep those things in mind. But they let you bring your own alcohol or use his bartender. They have a valet which we were told would be there, but wasn't. Thankfully, we didn't need it, as everyone seemed to be able to find parking just fine. Phew! There were 2 things I had an issue with: the fact that I could not have 10 tables for 80 people; I had to have 8 unless I wanted to pay for 100 guests, which seemed silly to me. It's still the same amount of food/servings, so I'm not sure why that made a difference. The other thing is my 2 friends who were in charge of setting up decor seemed to have had a hard time getting in at the time I confirmed several times with Hamlet, I guess. My bridesmaids were the ones getting it sorted out because they didn't want to stress me, but there was definitely some sort of issue going on with that which nobody has told me the specifics of yet. Additionally, Hamlet seems to be super busy, as his phone is constantly ringing, but he does always answer when you call (though nobody answers emails) and does apologize for the interruptions. Nice guy, beautiful place, amazing food. A little more flexibility with some things and it would be perfection. read more

I attended a birthday here yesterday. Very beautiful and cozy place. Our waiter was very sweet and very attentive. Overall everyone who works here is very nice. The food was delicious. What a gorgeous banquet hall, and the food was exceptional. I went there for a bridal shower last Sunday, and we couldn't stop eating. Typically, at weddings and bdays and showers held at banquet halls, I'll have an appetizer or two, then dance a lot and hit an in n out on my way home. HOWEVER. Great place, great food , great customer service - we had a guy Karen helping our table back in December of 2019 during my friends' event and that was the best service I experienced in LA . The only problem is that music was too loud so we have to leave earlier but I guess it's not this place's responsibility -I guess that music / DJ is ordered by the clients.not sure who was that DJ there... So my recommendation would be to do smth with that music level - it's a dangerous noise level especially for young kids- that level of noise can cause a damage to little ears .I came out of the restaurant and could not hear anything for some time . read more

I just had my Baby Shower at Bellaj 3 weeks ago and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. For starters, it is beautiful!!!!! I had been here once before for a Christmas party but this was before they remodeled it. Already back then I loved the place. When I started planning my Shower, I made an appointment to come see Bellaj and what a surprise! It was completely remodeled and so beautiful!!! Even better than before!!!! So I reserved a date right away. Unfortunately I had to change the date a few weeks later due to a conflict with another event we had. Hamlet was wonderful and changed the date with no problem. Hamlet was absolutely wonderful the entire time I was planning my event and he made sure everything went perfectly the day of. He has great pride on his business and it shows. The day of the event we showed up a bit early to set up, everything was already set up on their end and all I had to do is just add the final touches. The entire staff was extremely helpful, very nice and organized and everything turned out exactly how I wanted it. The food was by far, the best hall food I have ever had. All my guests are still raving about how tasty it all was!!!! Overall, I will recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a perfect hall for any event. My wedding was in April and Bellaj catered to our venue, which was a mansion in Malibu. Hamlet was amazing and patient with us, gave us a fantastic menu, and even reminded us of important things we forgot about that he would take care. He's a very detailed person, nothing can ever go wrong with him managing. the house was 1 hour away from their banquet hall and they got there on time with all the food ready. As for the food, all my guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious everything was. Lots of options and very unique ones too. Best night of my life!!! I had my engagement party at Bellaj last weekend and I couldn't be happier! First and foremost, Hamlet (the owner) is amazing. I have never worked with anyone who is so detail oriented, fair, and polite. He gave us a great price for a full menu and all my guests thought the food was amazing. He went out of his way to make sure EVERYTHING was perfect and to my liking. He stayed all night to make sure everything was going well. His staff was amazing, kept food replenished, tables clean and every time I looked over they were talking and laughing with guests. The hall itself is decorated nicely with beautiful art and tasteful crystals and chandeliers. Very modern and warm, not stale or crammed which I like. My wife and I wanted a venue close to our church for our wedding reception. With out a doubt we choose the right location. The staff, service, and management were very professional and were very accommodating. The owner, Hamlet, was very easy to talk to and very friendly. He answered all our questions and made very good suggestions on how make our event work smooth. The interior is so beautifully decorated with white marble, mirror and led lighting. The lighting combined with mirror made the venue glitter like a crystal. The attention to detail of the decoration runs from the very entrance of the venue throughout the building and into the restroom. I felt like this banquet hall was part of a very classy hotel. The menu for our event was such a hit with the guests. Family style service was provided and the guests were very happy with the appetizers. We celebrated our son's baptism at Bellaj Banquet Hall last Saturday. We were beyond satisfied with the service. It was an unforgettable experience. Everything was stunning and beautiful. Food was super delicious and waiters were very polite and on point. All of my guests were impressed by the variety and taste of all dishes. Especially I am grateful to Hamlet,the manager of the venue. He is an incredible manager, very dedicated to his business, very helpful and leaves even the most demanding clients (like me) satisfied. Not only Hamlet did an incredible job on the day of the party, but he helped us with the right suggestions on who to hire as a DJ, cake baker, kids entertainment, party host, videoman, photographer and so on. My husband is a very famous character actor so as you might imagine, the guest list included many Hollywood heavyweights. There were 85 of us and I have to say every person raved about the delicious food. It was the very finest I have seen anywhere, and I am a well travelled individual.
