I was a huge fan of Bellalaser until I realized their machines completely ruined my face. Not to mention no one answers the phone and their voicemail system is always full. I did two sessions for my face, as recommended by Cindy, who I truly thought was looking out for my best interest. I had some burnings time to time from the machine, which should have been my first red flag. The second was the hyperPigmentation that occurred from their lasers. Every time I went in with concerns, I either got free products or they offered me a complimentary chemical peel (which also burned my face!) to fix the problem. I believed the second round was going to work until I noticed darker hair growth on parts of my face I NEVER had a problem with. Their lasers caused growth in odd places, and are NOT meant for people with darker skin. I went to a dermatologist who told me that basically their lasers caused this and I should consult their medical director on staff...however no one is returning my calls and I really doubt they have a medical director. I have two pending treatments I lost the money for...and honestly I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone with dark skin. I did my bikini and underarms too which came back in a year. If you want laser...Go to a derm- someone who is licensed to know about skin and hair more than a clinic who has no medical staff consultants! read more

This place is great. The laser they use is the Candella laser, which is the most effective one. I have darker hair and have been blown away by the results!! The laser hurts a little, but nothing unbearable. I keep coming back because I know the laser very works well, despite there being slightly cheaper options elsewhere. The staff also educates you on the procedure and past experiences they have had, which makes me trust the quality of the laser. The only reason, I am leaving four stars instead of five is because their hours are LIMITING. They DO NOT accommodate professionals who have a 9-6 work schedule considering they close at 7 pm. I can't even begin to describe how AMAZING THIS PLACE IS! Not only is it convenient I found it on my same neighborhood but I would drive an hour if I had to because I am the type of person that once I find some place I fully trust, plus their customer service and Ambiance and Quality of the whole experience is just great! My underarms were so dark and just a mess and between all the girls but Lately Cindy has been taking care of me and I am just thrilled that what was once my biggest insecurity now I can work out and do anything without feeling self conscious. The staff @mahattan ave is the BEST!!! Wioleta does AMAZING facials--she's patient, professional and great at what she does. I have a lot of blemishes/acne and she would take her time w/ all of my facials extracting---and doesn't complain. then she would give me the BOMB micoderm treatment that would live my face smooth and vibrant. I purchased a Lifebooker deal for 6 laser hair removal sessions for $199 more than a year ago. Used it for my legs and have had great results. It definitely hurts (their machine is Candela and it feels like you're getting snapped by mean rubberbands, like, really evil) but it's tolerable and worth it. They made sure to follow all the steps for sanitation and comfort, and were happy to answer any questions I had about the maintenance of my skin. The place is clean and if you intend to get a package - it is a WORTHWHILE investment. I intended to ask the woman who did the facial, her name once I finished getting dressed but her attention as well as the other patrons was so devoted to the new person that came in I walked out without giving her a tip because I might as well have not been standing there. Fast forward to setting my appointment for this year around my birthday (early June)- I appreciated the person on the line (who was not the person from years ago) letting me know that I still had unused facials in my package. She wanted to let me know more details and would call me back. No Call Back.. Ok. Called her back three times in the following days (original call was placed on Thursday) then got no one on Monday - not realizing that was the one day the store was closed. I called the South Brooklyn location ready to make an appointment there - although it is quite a disadvantage for me to travel there. Happened to talk to the manager that day and the next the woman at the the Manhattan location was calling me back. I did get annoyed with her for placing the blame on me by saying she asked for me when she called my job with a crude mispronunciation of my name - mind you, then for the remainder of the call being very defensive when I was just interesting in making my purchase. It definitely wasn't something that was worth her job - so I had no intention of wringing that response from the manager when I called the other location upset.
