After being quickly rejected by the closest Chevrolet dealer called Bellamy Strickland. Amazing doesn't begin to describe their service department. When we explained our situation they agreed to check the car out to see if it was a quick fix. Even offered to take us to the nearby Enterprise Rental if it could not be quickly fixed. Turned out to be fixable and three hours later we were on our way to Charleston. Even discounted the bill when we checked out. Wish they had branches back home. They tell you the parts will arrive at a particular time and then turn around and say the parts haven't arrived. Say the order was placed to late and yet your receipt shows it was ordered in the morning not late afternoon. They throw the special order clause without telling you and leave you. First, I have to start by saying I was unaware of the 2 separate facilities. One where appointments are scheduled and the other first come first served. When I placed my call, I was directed to the latter. So, I took my vehicle in early on the morning of Tuesday, 14 March, for a tune up and AC repair. I was told that the repair person did not report in until 10am and offered a ride to my home which I accepted. The only message I received that day was a text which stated my vehicle was at the facility for repair. When I hadn't heard anything by noon, I called and left a message. No one called me back. So needless to say, my vehicle was not going to be ready on Tuesday. I called repeatedly on Wednesday and was finally told the young lady who had my paperwork was out due to a family emergency and would not return until Friday. The gentleman I spoke with (who was a repair person and was able to find my paperwork on a desk) informed me there was a back log and there were several vehicles before mine. I was not informed of this before I left my vehicle. Had I known, I would not have left it because I only have one vehicle and many daily responsibilities. This was a great inconvenience to me as there were no loaner vehicles available so I had to borrow my neighbors' vehicle. Communication is key. The office should still be able to function irrespective of one person being out. I did not receive any updates until it was almost time to retrieve my vehicle on Friday, 17 March. I did not receive the quality customer care I expected especially for the amount of money I had to pay to get my vehicle repaired. Also, I know my vehicle is in need of inside detailing, but that was no reason for whomever entered it to carelessly dump the contents of my seat gap filler onto the floor in front of the driver's seat and toss it onto the passenger seat. This was not a great experience for me. I am a 32 year veteran of the Armed Forces and I fully expected better. read more

I have never purchase a Vehicle from the dealership. I am a 20 + year loyal GM customer. But because of this Dealership I am no long buying anymore GM vehicles. Why you ask? I been waiting on the 2024 Sierra Denali EV1 for over a year. I was one of the individual who was fortunate enough to get a reservation. The reservation close after 10 to 15 mins. This is the dealership the website choose for me because we are in the same Zip Code. But I am closer to another dealership. To Make a long story short. I was called on May 2 to confirm if I was still wanted to keep my reservation. I said yes so fast. I have been waiting on a full Electric truck since the Cybertruck was introduced. Did not want that. Again GM fan. In fact I placed an order for the EV Silverado also. When it was time to verify my order with the dealership. They canceled my order without my Knowledge because they was not able to fulfill EV order because of lack of Certificate on their part. Do not know how true that is but this is what I was told. So after contact the EV Concierge department. After a reservation has been cancel it can not be reinstated even if it is not your fault. They said they can not even move my reservation to another dealership. So to me GM can not stand behind they customer with something that is a Keystroke fix. Just image if you have a major issue. My truck needed an oil change. The Service Technician serviced my truck and got me out of there in less than a hour. I appreciated the great customer service from the Service Advisor and the Service Technician. I did not get the same treatment from another dealership in Conyers. I would highly recommend this dealership to service your vehicle. Lastly, that Service Technician put the tire gauge near my odometer. This allows me to monitor my tire pressure for all four tires. read more

I went to the certified vehicle service section to get my vehicle transfer case fluid serviced and was told by a very abrasive female service tech that I needed and appointment or the next they could get to it is January 31st. While I had no problem working with the sales person, this dealership is absolutely not set up to effectively deal with remote buyers or internet buyers. I found the vehicle I wanted on Carfax, arranged to pay them via ACH for the agreed upon price plus the usual dealer extras, and that part worked ok. But they insisted on generating a package of paperwork that had to be signed and physically sending it. It arrived 6 days after I had paid in full. The vehicle was delivered in satisfactory condition 9 days after I paid. However we are 18 days from when I paid and they have failed to process the title, I am unable to register the vehicle in my state still after two trips to my local license office. After I called the dealership's business office and finally found the person who processes titles she admitted she had not even received their internal paper work to begin the work to process my title application! Anybody who is not willing to deal with a glacial ancient pen and paper and passing documents around business process, and wants to deal with a dialed in dealer selling cars to out of state people (e.g. uses Docusign, etc.) should keep looking and bypass this dealer. This dealership's process is old school pen and ink in the door and they are not even good at expediting, much less processing in a timely manner for that based on my experience. read more

o I went to pick up my car from the service dept this morning after they had it for 9 days because of a programing issue. But that's not the issue. I was told that a service manager would drive the car to make sure the problem had been corrected which it was. What I was not told was that he would take it home with him three counties away. When I picked it up a half a tank of fuel was missing and the car had been driven down a dirt road and was very muddy. It's hard for me imagine how ANYONE could be so disrespectful of someone else's property. While the sales dept. is pretty good the service dept. is the absolute worse I have ever dealt with. My family are long time customers of Bellamy Strickland. As a matter of fact, I brought a Trailblazer in 2006 from them. With that being said, the Customer Service at the Quick Lube is HORRIBLE and has continued to decline over the years. We have 5 vehicles we bring to Bellamy Strickland for maintenance. Today, I brought one of my trucks to be for an oil change. There was no one in front of me and there were five (5) employees in the bay area and I waited at least 7-8 minuets before I HAD TO approach them for service. One female employee had her head down behind the counter, another female employee was next to her at the same counter with her head against the counter and her eyes were closed. The third female was at the counter furthest away looking at her phone. There were two male techs walking back and forth. At no time did anyone approach me, and asked if they could help me. FINALLY, I went inside and the female behind the counter said, May I hep you. I told her I needed an oil change and I use synthetic oil. She asked if the keys were in the car and I told her they were in my hand. She asked could she have them and I gave them to her. Moments later, a large pickup truck with another male inside drove up to the bay. As soon as he exited the vehicle he was greeted by the same service advisor whom I had to approach. Not only did she greet him but she also told him about the service specials that were available. I found this strange. So I asked the service advisor why didn't she tell me about the service specials and she was flippant and said "Oh, I forgot." I have been coming here for a long time and the service has been progressively getting worse and nothing is being done about it. So, I will let my family know about this experience and we will be taking our cars to be serviced at another establishment. read more

Went to attempt to purchase a new Buick Enclave. Although the sales person was nice she kept communicating with the "manager" who never bothered to come over and introduce himself. After the test drive, I was interested in purchasing. There was no negotiation. None. The sales woman began to act irritable. This is a big purchase. We said we wanted to sleep on it. I received two calls that same evening. One from a person I didn't know asking what they could do to make the sale. I answered what we offered that same afternoon. I received another call within 30 Minutes from our sales woman. She said she would see what she could do and sent me via email a ridiculous offer. That same evening, I received a text from our sales woman. She said I needed to let her know by 10 AM the following morning if I wanted the vehicle as one of her "coworkers" was going to buy it for his wife if I didn't buy it. One week later, the vehicle remains on their lot. I don't like manipulation. The following day I got a call from a customer service rep by the name of Elvia. I was on the defensive because I had already had my mind made up. I talked to her for about 10-15mins. Extremely Nice lady and she put up with my crap. She had patience and grace I'll definitely give her that. She assured me that the sales team was on point and the reviews weren't warranted. After our conversation I decided to at least hear what they had to offer. As I was pulling up for my appointment and they practically had the truck I was looking to buy pulling up right behind me for a test drive. The sales person Keanna was very helpful and didn't come off as very salespersony, she was there to help. She showed me the truck and got me set up. She was able to give me top dollar for my trade in and I couldn't have been more happy with the experience. Even the finance guy wasn't to pushy about the extras and warranties and things. He didn't get all upset because I only wanted one warranty instead of all of them. Easy process. First time I've walked out of a dealership happier than when I walked in. My son brought his 2021 here for it's 1st oil change, just over 3k miles. Almost 3hrs, drove it home, it started smoking from the tailpipe. Checked the oil level, it was at least 2 qts overfilled!! They wanted to tow a brand new Traverse back to the dealer, he said NO WAY, so they are sending a "mechanic" to his house tonight to do a full oil & filter change. My husband's 2007 Chevy Duramax Diesel would not start. He is mechanical, however it needed to be looked at by a professional. We took it to Bellamy Strickland and after 7 days they could not figure it out. My mother-in-law passed away and we needed to leave to get back to Washington State. My husband explained the situation the morning of her death, we needed to have it fixed by the end of the day. Well needless to say, not only did they call us back, to let us know the manager or technician did not come in, so we could take it to someone else. They completely ignored the fact that my husband had a true emergency to get home. Would you not think a business with integrity would have done all they could to make sure we had our rig fixed, even if it was not them. Now we have to fly costing us twice the price than to drive. Every time I take my car in for repairs I end up bringing it right back and have to pay more to fix something they have messed up. Latest example, I took car in with check engine light on, they repaired changing timing chain. Picked up and drove 1 mile down the roads when the air conditioning hose blew off and flooded the inside of car with Freon. Turned around and drove right back and had to pay an additional $800 on top of the $3200 I had already put out when obviously they somehow damaged my hose during the repair. Scott Jennings was my sales rep and I highly recommend him to anyone on the market for a new or used vehicle. I hate to do this but you need to know. First, the Buick dealership was awesome. I got a great deal on my purchase. Salesman was great. Manager was great. Loan process, well they were ok. I had to find my own loan to get a lower rate and then they met the low percentage rate. Cheater. Ok, that's the good, here's the bad. So, for my first service,I had to go to the GMC service center across the street. No one was there to met and greet me for my appointment. Finally when someone came over,I asked for service with synthetic oil and to check and completely service a tire which I got a flat in and had it repaired. When I got the car back,I asked about the oil. That said they only have one oil. I asked about the tire. They said they service all the tires. I asked if they reservists the entire tire. They said no. They just added air to bring it up. Nitrogen? He said yea. Complete service? Well, we just brought it up with the rest. He never answered my question. So no synthetic and no nitrogen as I asked. I've had GMC before and was very happy with the vehicle and service. But it wasn't this service center. I do not recommend this GMC service center. I've taken the liberty to write to Strickland and let him know that a successful team achieves together not by trying to make that extra cent that leaves the customer bitter. My sales person Mr. T. Scar---y ( will not disclose anyone regardless message was phenomenal and perhaps his management team can take some ethic lesson from a young and well rounded "GENTLEMAN" - thank you Mr. Manager for being such a shark just remember there are also piranhas. Aside from this minor hick up I would go back to Bellamy Strickland and purchase a vehicle from them and insist to have the same salesman for either NEW / USED. Let me start off by saying I normally handle all of the "routine" maintenance on my vehicles. I only go to a shop if it's something I don't have the tools to do myself. In this case my A/C was not working properly, my airbag light had been on for months and my steering wheel was not centered so I took it to Bellamy. I dropped it off on a Wednesday morning and let them know I wanted to pick it up Friday morning. They sent me the estimate about 2 hours later. That should have been my first clue they did not do a thorough diagnostic. I thought the $2600 estimate was high but if it fixed everything I was OK with it so I approved the estimate. I followed up with them Thursday afternoon to make sure my car would be ready Friday morning. Their response was it would not be ready until Friday afternoon as GM did not ship one of the required parts. Ok but why did they not notify my vs me having to ask? They finally notified me ~5:00 Friday that my car was ready. Unfortunately when they replaced the airbag module another module was burned out so they had to order the other module. At no point did they indicate I would be charged for this second module. After waiting 6 days they finally notified me the second module had arrived and we set up an appointment for Monday morning. I dropped my car off as planned. About 4:00 I checked to see when my car would be ready and was told they had to find my car and that it would not be ready that day. They notified me the next day at 4:30 that my car was ready. I showed up and they tell me it will be another $800 for the second module. After a debate about what they had actually done they did reduce the amount but... they had my car a total of 5 days, charged me almost $3300 and my steering wheel is still not straight. At this point I'm done with Bellamy. It's actually pretty sad since my wife and I just purchased a new truck from them. Guess I will be going to Hennessy or Cronic when we need service. That's not fair, I know, but in all my years of experience, a new car dealership is just a spruced up used car dealer. That being said, Bellamy-Strickland does about as good a job with sales and service as I can expect. I've had problems with their service department, but they have always tried to make it right, and have always been friendly and reasonable. I expect and am not surprised by mistakes. Five tows to the shop later and 1400.00 in repairs the GM advised that there is a known problem with the C6 6 speeds and I have to drive it every day for a minimum of 30 mins! When my wife said she want a new Tahoe I went back to Bellamy Strickland Chevrolet and thanks to one of their reps Mr. Chad Tyler I have a happy wife. He took the time to let her drive as many as she wanted, made sure to find the color she wanted. As a matter of fact they only had one Black Tahoe left and when she wanted it but with leather seats Chad had them put leather in that exact Tahoe. Chad and the entire group gave us what we needed, time to shop for what we wanted and at a better deal than what we expected. Kevin Doehring(General Manager), Dennis Hughes (Service Manager), and Melissa Bailey will not only offer VERY poor customer service, they will also like and then refuse your business! I have a 2015 Sierra with 50k miles. The truck is losing coolant. The service dept had the truck for three days, never called. When I called to check on it, Melissa stated I owed her $287. I asked for what, she reply, for the surge tank cap( I already replaced ) and a spark plug. I didn't need a spark plug, oh the Check engine light came on during the road test so we put one in for you! Don't EVER let a service center repair your vehicle without CONSENT! It is not only bad customer service but it is also illegal! I called Dennis out on this LIE. He then stated I did not owe them anything but they did not need my business. My issue still hasn't been resolved! It is just unbelievable how a reputable business will react when you catch them in a lie! I called Kevin Doehring back and explained the situation, he advised they would not be servicing the vehicle from here forward. Bellamy Strickland Chevrolet does not care about their customers or their reputation. We bought a crate engine from them with a 3 year warranty. About 2 weeks before the warranty was up the truck started bellowing white smoke out the tail pipe. The last day of the warranty we confirmed the head was not torqued down properly to specifications and had blown a head gasket. They passed us from person to person till we gave up. They did not stand by their product. They are bullies and do not concern themselves with doing what is right for their customers. We relocated back to Henry County and thought our experience several years ago with Bellamy-Strickland would be good. We lived here in 2002 for several years and had bought 3 vehicles from them over 12 years with good service. We have had our car serviced 3 times in a year and the last time was for emission inspection. Pulled into service bay with only one vehicle ahead of me and 2 service advisors sitting at desk while one was attending to customer in front of me. So I waited for one of the other two to approach and after a few minutes I opened the car door and Service Advisor Kelli Crews walked over and wrote the service order. An hour later I was called to the Customer Service window to pay bill and did so and handed the papers that showed it did not pass inspection and customer service clerk did not know why it had not passed inspection. I had to look at the inspection and see that the gas cap had failed the inspection. I ask why wasn't I called and told the problem so that I could tell them to go ahead with the work to replace cap while still in service bay? Customer Service Cashier did not have an answer, so I said I was going to the Service area to ask. I found Kelli Crews was on phone and had several customer work orders on messy desk. So I went to a Service Advisor Sherry Whitaker that attended to previous two services and ask her why I had not been called for this easy fix while still in Technician area? Then Kelli was off phone and she was apprised I went to Customer Service for the Service bill and work order, then took them through Parts area and into shop area. So I asked Sherry was my vehicle going to be taken care of since Kelli evidently assumed I knew what she was doing for the problem since she took emission test and allied papers through Parts area. So 45 minutes later I am called to Cashier as car is ready and Sherry met me at the window as well to apologize for service, which I appreciated. No emission service should take almost two hours to complete, especially with such a minor repair that I could have done, if I had known only a gas cap had to be replaced. Last year I took the car to Legacy Ford for the emission inspection which was completed in 45 minutes. I definitely will not take my car to Bellamy-Strickland for emission test in the future. There was a bad leak in my water pump which caused my car to over heat and die on the highway, after paying lots of tow trucks to get me home the service team wouldn't even check my car for free, even after finding out that there were reports of recalls on the 2011-2014 Chevy Cruze water pumps..they basically told me with an attitude may I add that I am out of luck, and I'll have to pay to get it checked out. I asked for a manager, and her response was that the manager is at lunch...you mean to tell me there's NO manager whatsoever that I can speak to? Save yourself the headache and the money!!! read more
