I was looking for a talented artist but didn't want to pay top dollar! I knew it was impossible to find but luckily, I persevered and then I found Tisha! She was great from the first time I met her! Tisha did a trial run for me and came up with a very reasonable combo package for both, hair and makeup for my wedding ceremony and reception! She listened to all my concerns and suggestions and encouraged me to tell her if I didn't like something. Initially, I was a little skeptical because I am not used to seeing myself with makeup but I'm so happy I went with BellaRicco Artistry. I had an Indian ceremony and I must say that the hairstyle of an Indian bride is no easy task! But that did not stop Tisha. I found Bella Ricco via Thumbtack, which I highly recommend for saving time finding vendors on budget! We did a trial run several weeks prior to the wedding and it was very easy to work together on adjustments for a fantastic result. My makeup and hair turned out gorgeous and all occurred at the wedding location where I was getting ready! This was such a stress-saver for me to not have to travel around or do it myself. It is my advice to not use this service. My friend hired Tisha to do hair and makeup for her bridal party. I started having doubts when she was later thank 30 minuets late to the hotel on the day of the wedding. When she arrived at the hotel she did not apologize, she simply said that we'd be ready in time. In my opinion, walking in late to a job is considered extremely rude, and I would have been very apologetic. However, her being late is not the only reason for why I would highly recommend using another service provider for whatever special event you have planned. Below are listed some of the reasons: 1. When you pay for a professional service, you expect professional service. She arrived and the only styling product she brought in her arsenal was Tresseme. You are paying good money for her services and I would expect the products used to be of salon quality. Also she did not bring a flat iron, only two curling irons of the same size, this does not give you many options when receiving a styling service from her. She also did not bring any other styling products....how are you supposed to add shine to hair without a serum or texturize to help hold backcombing?! 2. As a hairstylist sanitation is SO important, but they were not concerned with this outside of washing their hands. Bobby pins should be opened with your hands not with your mouth! I don't want someone else's spit in my hair. 3. AGAIN, sanitation! The ladies also performed our makeup for the wedding and I had to watch them use the same makeup brushes on each person their (who didn't bring their own brushes-which when you've paid a makeup artist to do your makeup...you shouldn't have to provide nor were we told to) this is a huge NO-NO. what if one of the people had a cold sore? That could have been passed on. It only takes a quick spritz of alcohol to meet sanitation standards, and yet this was not done. 4. Lastly, if you are going to do makeup and apply lashes, its beneficial to do it properly. Standing to one side to apply the makeup is not going to give you a flawless look. When I was done I had one eyebrow that was much more filled in than the other so I fixed it. One of the girls had false eyelashes poking her tear duct because they did not measure the lashes to see if they were too long for her eyes. She never asked me how I wanted my makeup done just proceeded to do it. She did however see that I had my own eyeliner I wanted to use and used that. Lastly the hair was subpar. My hair looked like a mess and even when shown a step-by-step tutorial of how to create a knot one of the girls wanted in her hair she said it was too complex (she didn't even try I don't think) and that she'd do something. Brides BEWARE. I would NOT recommend Tisha to anyone. I was actually really excited to try her out and she seemed perfect, until....she emailed me one month before my trial and told me that I would need to put another $300 deposit down to reserve my wedding date or that my wedding date would not be guaranteed. Who seriously would put down a deposit for services they have not tried??! I had already paid her $85 for the trial which would go towards the fee for hair and makeup on the wedding day should I decide to book. And she wanted more money to reserve the date? She proceeds to tell me that we're still on for the trial. In my mind, I'm thinking why would I do a trial if my wedding date is not available?! Pretty sketchy. Ladies, also keep in mind that any fees that you pay her is NON REFUNDABLE....even if she doesn't hold up her end of the bargain! I have had such a horrible experience that I am foregoing the $85 just so I don't have to deal with her ever again. She has a horrible way of doing business and I would not trust her! Also if you're looking to do makeup airbrushing on your wedding day Tisha is NOT the gal. She mentioned on several occasions that it will come out streaky and blotchy in pictures and that many brides have had to have the photos retouched. STAY AWAY! Tisha and her sister did hair and makeup for myself and all the bridesmaids for my wedding in May. She did a wonderful job accommodating last minute changes. Tisha was very easy to work with, and did a great job adjusting my look from the trial to the actual day of. All of the bridesmaids seemed to have a good experience with their hairstyles, and were able to make all the changes they wanted or needed before the glam squad left. I just had my trial run with Tisha for my Aug wedding. I'm so pleased and impressed with her work! She did a amazing job. I sent her pictures of the hair and makeup I wanted and she got it perfect on the first try. She's very good at detail and explains to you exactly what she's doing. Tisha was extremely late to do my make up for my wedding. Which I understands happens sometimes. But to make matters worse, she was ridiculously rude! Her attitude is very arrogant and pompous! Not only was she was super efficient but the girls looked fabulous all thru the night. When they came home, their hair was exactly as it was before they left... this after hours of dancing around. I found Tisha through my photographer and she did beautiful work. I really enjoyed working with her and her work on my sister-in-law still has people talking almost 3 months after the wedding. Tisha even helped out my brother with some hair styling. She made me feel beautiful and was always receptive to my feedback. We went through two full trials just so we could get the look right and know how things would hold up for the day (Who doesn't love being primped and beautified by a pro whenever possible?!) She was incredibly reasonable price wise, especially when you compare to regular salons. There are two reasons I did not give her a full five stars. First, I hired her to do hair and make-up for myself, my mother and 3 bridesmaids and just hair for a fourth bridesmaid. However, time was tight and she was unable to finish the third bridesmaid's make-up. I think she just underestimated the time she would need. So, be very clear on your time restrictions and maybe request she bring an assistant. Second, she can be a little unorganized. She has a lot going on in her life and between full time work, family obligations and BellaRicco as her side business it can be hard get a hold of her or find a time that works for both of you to meet. She also seemed to have a hard time keeping track of exactly tasks I hired her for. Even with the snaffus we encountered, if I did my wedding over again I would hire Tisha in a heartbeat. Tisha was horrible! Don't trust her with your cold fusion extensions. She will ruin your hair. She's cheap but you get what you pay for! She doesn't do a clean parting and just puts the MicroLinks anywhere and everywhere which causes tension and pulls the hair out. She even placed the itips passed the links and poking into my scalp causing irritation. She doesn't put enough hair in the links to hold so instead you hair hangs by a tread again causing severe damage. The sadness part when I talked to her about this was she laughed and blamed it on my fir having fine hair. She wouldn't even fix it or asked what she can do to help. That was upsetting as a "professional stylist". She blocked me from Facebook and messenger! Really Tisha, that's how you treat your customers! The hair starting falling out the first day. It's only been two weeks and they are constantly falling out and pulling a lot of my own hair out. I $400 for the hair and $215 for the service only to take them out in two weeks. So disappointed. She might be ok at curling hair and applying make up but don't trust her with your microlink extensions. She will ruin your hair then blame you. She can place the MicroLinks in but doesn't know how to do it the proper way. I cannot recommend BellaRicco. My experience was similar to the other negative reviews here. First, she tried to reschedule the trial hours before it was supposed to happen, but then finally agreed to come anyway. I paid for a trial, was happy with the results. I sent an email that I wanted to reserve her for a wedding. She responded back with the pricing - but within 3 days, she let me know that the date was no longer available. Total waste of time and money. I recommend you take your business elsewhere. It truly felt like she took the money for the trial and ran. read more

I hired BellaRicco (Tish the Owner) to provide onsite hair and makeup for my wedding day after she had contacted me thru ThumbTack. She had stated during my trial run that she had another wedding that day but they were earlier than mine so that would not be an issue with timing for her at all. The week of my wedding she asked for full payment ahead of time (not in the contract). I found this very unprofessional as I have NEVER paid for any hair or makeup service before they were completed. She was adamant that I pay the full balance before; I refused since I had already paid 1/2 of the total services for everyone. I was not going to pay the other 1/2; they could pay her the day of as discussed during my trial. She changed my start time to 10am, because she had a wedding that was later than mine that day (thought it was earlier??). My location bent over backwards to accommodate a 10am start, we were supposed to have a 1230 start so our location was not even ready, but the hotel made it work. She was late getting to the hotel. I collected money from everyone and paid her the full contract amount. Even though I had one girl not show up, and I had a friend of mine do my hair, she still got the full amount since that was listed in the contract. This was a BIG MISTAKE!!! I now understand why she was asking for full payment, she had mentioned she has been burned by parties not paying. REALLY? I wonder why? Maybe it's because you don't take your time to make sure your staff is capable of doing the style requested and that you overbook yourself and up rushing thru the job to get to the next. Its shows in the job they do, that it's rushed. Tish did a great job on the makeup, but BellaRicco can't do hair! One of my girls ended up leaving and having her hair redone by a groomsmen's girlfriend. EVERYONE else who had their hair done had to have it redone by my friend that was there doing my hair. This put us WAY behind schedule for the day, causing me to miss photo opportunities that were scheduled with our families and having to do bridal party photos at a completely different location. Her assistant (her brother's girlfriend) DESTROYED my bridesmaid's hair. I asked for each girl to have a high 1960's style ponytail, with volume in the front and a flip-out at the bottom. Every one of the girls came out looking like a cone head / Mohawk, with a rat tail in the back. This style is very easy to do; even if the individual has thin hair. I have thin hair and can wear it just fine. I can't understand why as licensed professionals they were unable to do a ponytail! My mom and maid of honor had a different style that Tish did. It was very sloppy and beyond messy, everyone was upset with the way their hair turned out until my friend redid everyone. I emailed her after my honeymoon to see if I can get some form of a refund since everyone that had their hair done by BellaRicco had to have their hair redone by my friend. Not one response or peep from her. I do recommend her for makeup, but only have Tish do! And do not hire them for hair. read more

Be warned! I hoped to use BellaRicco for my wedding (me and my bridal party) but instead am having to go to court! I highly recommend you go elsewhere. I responded to Tisha's craigslist post because her advertised price was very competitive. Tisha came to my house and did a trial. She did an adequate job but left a lot to the imagination for what she would really do on the big day. The short version of the story: During negotiations she demanded money to save my July date. She is a very pushy person and I was vulnerable. During the trial she was personable, and I thought we connected. So I did something stupid, I gave her deposit money before signing the contract. Then she sent me a contract that said not only was the deposit non-refundable but that I would owe her 98% of the total cost if I cancelled (it was a mixture of hidden fees and broken english). I wasn't planning on cancelling, but it was so weirdly worded that I was confused. When I asked for clarification she started attacking me personally over email and was no longer the charismatic person who came to my house. I asked for my money back, but she refused saying we had a contract (we did not). This whole ordeal took 3 days. I know I shouldn't have sent her money first, but it still doesn't excuse her behavior. In many ways I'm thankful I figured I couldn't trust her before my big day. She stopped returning my calls and emails. I contacted PayPal and my bank, but unfortunately the way she took the money can only be reversed by a court judgement. It's an open-and-shut case, but you still should be warned. She is not to be trusted, and even for her "cheap prices" I cannot recommend this business. I contacted someone to look into her, and it seems some of the yelp reviews here are fake. The business is only 2 years old and started in 2012, so there is no way someone who wrote a review in 2012 used her for "many years." Think! STAY AWAY! USE SOMEONE ELSE! read more

I found Tisha online and asked for a quote. She sent over a very reasonable price for both hair and make up. What was even better is that she came to us instead of having to drive out and back. I asked a bunch of questions beforehand that were all answered promptly and honestly. I had to pay a deposit and then the remainder up front, which I felt was okay. I was happy to pay a deposit but felt the final amount should be paid after services rendered. I did not bring this up with her, so I don't know if she would have allowed it. She arrived on-time, set up and was ready to go within minutes. She was warm, entertaining and very friendly. I told her what I was wearing and an idea of how I wanted my hair and she took it away. I loved the fact that the price included eyelashes that I got to keep. I looked beautiful and received many compliments. My friends looked great as well. This is why I didn't leave a review earlier, because I wanted to believe she was a good person (we had done a trial for hair and makeup the week before the wedding, and she seemed generous and hard working at the time). However, it has been almost THREE MONTHS since my wedding day and she still has not refunded my money. I paid for hair and makeup for myself (the bride) and for my mother-in-law. That, combined with the trial for both of us, totaled $400. I still had to pay somebody else last minute to actually do hair and makeup for myself and my mother-in-law, so I'm out a lot of money. It breaks my heart that a "professional" could do this to somebody. I tried my best to be understanding, but she has now blocked me on Facebook (after months of no response back via email, I sent her a message basically pleading she do the right thing and refund my money, since no service was provided), and I've basically given up hope... This isn't her main job, but if she decides to do hair and makeup again, I urge you to consider hiring someone else. She has proven to be untrustworthy, and basically stole my money.
