She was the first person I found in Austin when I first moved here that was reasonable and did an amazing job! She has always been super flexible with my schedule and understanding. I had a wonderful french pedicure with Veronica Winther at V's Beauty Spot! I met Veronica while having a pedicure at the well established Lake Austin Spa and Resort during a company function. She was extremely professional, talented, and listened to my needs/what was important to me in a pedicure. I like clean cuticles, smooth feet, and a long lasting perfect polish which includes precise, thin, soft white arches on my french pedicure. Veronica did an excellent job on all levels and is now practicing on South 1st Street at Salon Sovay beginning April 1st - today!!! I *rarely* get pedicures because I don't like the filing part... to me, it's like nails on a chalkboard while chewing on tin foil at the same time. It's like torture. Not with Veronica!! She took into consideration how it irritated me and I barely knew she was doing it! I love the location of Salon Sovay, (she used to do nails out at the fancy-pants Lake Austin Spa and Resort)-- way too much of a hassle to drive out there! She does a remarkable pedicure-- amazing massage, very professional, and the pedicure she does lasts forever!!! I have ugly feet- really. I work standing most of the day and I have ballerina bunions, (gross!)... I feel super comfortable with Veronica because she truly loves what she does and takes a lot of pride in her work. I've tried shellac on numerous occasions and had very bad luck with it peeling and really ruining my nails. Veronica is awesome. Her services are as good as they get. My first appointment with her was several months ago. At that time I had acrylic nails with Shellac polish. Her expertise in removing the acrylic over time was exceptional. I am now au naturale with a touch of purple :-) But what is most important to me ~~ the atmosphere and personal attention. Life is stressful enough without having the drama of a nail salon that pushes clients in like a cattle call. You will not find this here. One on one attention with a relaxing atmosphere. Like I said it doesn't get any better. And better yet ... Veronica is now using LED processing for Shellac, yipee!! I highly recommend her services!!! read more

V is the best! I was always a pop in at cheap nail salons near me and after going to V...never again! She is so meticulous and always makes my mani/pedis look fabulous. Also, they last much longer and it ultimately ends up saving me money! Last spring V also introduced me to eye lash perming and I am hooked! I was expressing to her my love of eyelash extensions but they always seem to bother me when I wear my glasses and I dont always have time for the up keep. After a quick assesment she thought I would be a great candidate to do the eyelash perm. She was tactful and professional about letting me know my golden retriever was not welcome in the salon. When I returned with my 22 year old daughter she was also great with her. I am SO pleased with my lashes. She is so kind but she is very efficient. She taught me things about my lashes that I had no clue about because of other uneducated lash technicians. Literally perfect! I came in with some grown out acrylics and Veronica knew exactly what to do with them! She filed the acrylic down so that it matched the grow-out and then gave me a beautiful new coat of shellac.
