As an experienced culinarian who already thinks highly of the place, I decided it was time for wifey & I to return for a visit and report back. This hidden gem is beautifully perched on a 31 acre estate vineyard with plenty of parking. It boasts sweeping views of Ashland, plus the surrounding mountains and valley are always breathtaking. Upon entry, a welcoming host lead us to our table, where I found myself captivated by the intimate, "al fresco" setting and jazzy live music playing, as we took our seats on the terrace. Overlooking their cultivated, extraordinary grapevines in the distance, we learned they've been growing them for almost 20 years now and their wine operation has been producing classic vintages that encapsulate French, Italian and Spanish heritages for almost as long. The main, multi-story building and climate controlled barrel cellar resembles an Italian basilica, complete with Campanile tower, gracious decks, balconies and an artistic Galleria that looks into the immaculate tank room. As we settled in, we were excited to begin the experience of tasting their food and pairing it with some great estate wines. The gourmet restaurant offers an elegant fusion of world-class wines and seasonal cuisine, creating a truly unforgettable culinary journey. Under the guidance of Head Chef Alfredo Nava, his kitchen brigade takes pride in sourcing the freshest, locally grown vegetables, fungi and fruits from the Rogue Valley. This important detail was refreshing to hear, when considering the current standard for many restaurants is sourcing ingredients through Sysco or other broadline food distributors. Belle Fiore's menu is appropriately condensed to two pages, but offers something for everybody. From appetizers, a house-made pasta special, flatbreads, salads, mains, a vegetarian (GF) option and daily desserts made from scratch, I think you'll find a satisfying choice. For our meal, we chose the bruschetta on a fresh baguette to begin, with a flight of refreshing whites. Then our mains arrived in timely fashion by our attentive server and I was happy to see well plated dishes coming out hot from the kitchen. Colorful, generous and composed, all looking very appetizing as set gently before us. I had the pork porterhouse, pan-seared and roasted, then topped with preserved cherries over a layered slab of potatoes "au gratin", with steamed garden vegetables on the side. The 1" thick cut was perfectly cooked (not dry at all) and was as juicy as the tart cherries that balanced the rich meat well on the palate. Wifey had the filet of beef and happily shared a few bites with me. Honestly, it was the best entree of the night and the finest steak I have tasted in years. The tender filet was rare-mid-rare with a caramelized crust, topped with Rogue Creamery blue cheese crumbles for a little funk. Plated with roasted potatoes, steamed asparagus spears and sautéed wild mushrooms in a delicious demi-glacé, fortified with deep wine notes. I would go back tomorrow just for that dish. Both of our mains were paired with a flight of robust and jammy estate reds. Even though we were pleasantly stuffed, we had to try their cheesecake croissant dessert, just because it sounded interesting from the server's description. The beautiful slice arrived with macerated berries and a big scoop of pecan ice cream on the side. Unfortunately, I thought it could have been better (we make killer cheesecakes at home) and suspect it had been in the fridge for too long. Even though the flavors were sweet, bright and creamy, the texture suffered from being too dense and doughy. That said, we left for home without any complaints and felt amply served on a gorgeous evening out together. Thus I'm leaving this as a 5-star review. This spot is tucked away on the patio of this huge building that looks like the set of a ritzy country club built for a Disney+ movie. Sorry, just trying to describe the maze of hallways, stairs, chandeliers, oil paintings, and overly proper decor that you have to navigate to get there. I'm not sure what all that real estate is used for because only a small part of it was the active restaurant. Just keep following the signs. Once arrived, there's a beautiful view of the vineyard, nice cover from the sun, live music, and a pretty extensive dinner menu. This isn't some flimsy "light refreshments" affair. We opened a bottle of one of their blended wines. I don't know much about wine tasting beyond copying how my neighbor swirls the glass, mumbling about "tannins," and sensing a definite tone of "old books and leather." Long story short, the wine was pretty good! For dinner, we got an assortment of foods. Everything was serviceable but not terribly memorable. The steak was the highlight dish and melded beautifully with the sauce and sides. The service was more hands off, but attentive to our needs. Last night, 16 of us came to Belle Fiore for an " elegant evening", the ladies dressed in formal evening attire, and the gentlemen in white tie and tails. Last year we celebrated our same event at Belle Fiore in a private dining room that was perfect for our event. This year we were not in a private dining room. We were open to a large room where the general public sits with very loud music. Make no mistake, the music was Broadway Phil & the Shouters so it was GREAT -- but not appropriate for an elegant evening. Our server was wonderful. She was very attentive and made certain she took gracious care of everyone's needs. Her excellent service kept me from giving a lower rating. What contributed to a 2 star rating for this event was the fact that our bill was probably somewhere between $600 and $700, yet restaurant management declined to allow us to pay as couples or individuals with credit cards. Instead, management required all of us to bring cash -- even though we had no idea how much to bring to pay for our dinners and wine -- and for our president to have to collect the cash from everyone and count it several times to ensure that it was correct. In my opinion, collecting payment for a dinner is done by staff. This was insulting. As a member of the planning committee, I will not recommend that we hold future elegant evenings at Belle Fiore -- if that continues to be a requirement. It is utterly déclassé. There are other restaurants we can give our business to that understand excellent service. Clearly, management does not. read more

We had a great experience at dinner at Belle Fiore winery! It is a beautiful property, with Tuscan decor, an art gallery, cozy furnishing and gorgeous iron work . We went upstairs to the restaurant since the wine bar closed at 4:30 on a Sunday.. Our waitress Pi was so colorful! She offered us wine tastes before we selected a bottle to enjoy with dinner. The food was creative and delicious! We chose the fillet mignon and chicken Remolade for our entrees after enjoying bruschetta with truffles and whipped cheese. Everything was cooked perfection. The mignon's Bordelaise reduction sauce and chicken's romesco sauce were scrumptious! Chef Freddie came out to see how our meal was. It was great to be able to share with how much we enjoyed his unique creations were appreciated in our dishes. We finished the meal with decadent flourless chocolate tart and superb ice cream. They even had a duet playing fun music this evening. We will definitely come here again for both the wine and the food. Today I did a wine tasting at Belle Fiore and chose the reserve tasting, which was amazing. My favorite was the Pinot Noir, and although it wasn't part of the flight, I was able to try the Porto dessert wine which was absolutely incredible. I also had the burger and fries, and they were excellent. The tasting room itself was gorgeous, featuring photos from the early 1800s, spotless interiors, and an amazing view of the vineyard from the second floor. Michael was our server, and he was fabulous, very knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely wonderful to talk to. Highly recommend! Great vineyard to visit for incredible and award winning wines. Came here with larger group and had a blast! The service was great, our wines and extra bread we kept ordering was always topped up. That bread, I have to admit, with the kalamata olive butter was the crowd favorite. The group was here for drinks and light bites, and the charcuterie board was beautiful. Lots of tasty pickled veggies, delicious meats, fresh fruits and so much delicious cheese. It was massive and we ended up getting two! The bread and board went so well with their award winning pinot noir. They also have a delicious sauvignon blanc for white drinks, and a delicious butter chardonnay. We had the red wine flight, and it was very delicious, specially, their blends which include Franc Cab, Merlot and Cabernet grapes. Visiting Belle Fiore was an outstanding choice. We went on a nice Friday and they had the Christmas decor and music playing. The wine list was amazing. There were 3 of us so we tried the château, reserve, and classic which was very fun and a great way to try all the wines. The icon Siderio was our overall favorite. Visited Bella Fiore for my husband's birthday celebration. We were a group of 10 with children and the service we received from Felipe was phenomenal - 20% gratuity was automatically added since we were a group larger than 8 and it was fully deserved! The food was amazing! We had their pizza of the day, burgers, pasta of the day, salad, lamb meatballs, and filet mignon and everything was delicious! I am sorry that I didn't get pictures of everything. Freddy, the chef, came out to make sure everything tasted good (especially the filet) which my husband appreciated and thought was kind. Our first time here while visiting the OSF in Ashland. Went with our brother-in-law and wife. Great service and very good food. We sat on the patio and it was almost 100º out, but it actually wasn't too bad. Umbrellas for shade and an occasional breeze helped. We shared a bottle of Merlot on recommendation of our server. They allow small tastes of the wine before you buy, which we appreciated. We tasted a Cab and the Merlot. We are usually Cab people, but the Merlot was better. We then ordered a sausage pizza, which had just the right amount of kick and spice. Our guests ordered the Bruschetta. We shared and both were very good. Oh, there are expenses to running a business, and you found a way to defray costs --and make the customer pay more? Never again. I do not patronize those places. The atmosphere at the Pavilion was great with both indoor and outdoor seating. Staff were all friendly and that's what really shined! We'd signed up for the Chateau Tour & Tasting -- SO MUCH FUN! The property, the wine, the views it was all great but MICHAEL (our tour guide) made all the difference and turned this tour/tasting into a very memorable experience. Looking back at summer pics, saw the pics I took while enjoying this stunning winery and its delicious wine and bistro. Need it to be summer again, need to enjoy life and times with friends and create more memories and hope to go back to Bel Fiori soon. The truffles fries were the bomb! Currently reminiscing about my trip to Southern Oregon last year, and having dinner at Belle Fiore Winery was definitely one of the highlights of my trip! I initially stopped in to do a tasting but learned that their tasting room had just closed for the day. It's grand, it's bougie, it's classy, and I loved it. One of those places where you could literally lick the bathroom floor because the restrooms are just as gorgeous as their damn dining room! I know, I know... COVID! Hey, it was a joke... simmer down! But seriously, the decor is simply immaculate. They were having a wedding party in one of the private rooms and I peaked in. I could totally see myself having a wedding reception here. Just beautiful! I made my way to their dining room and they were having live music going on. The host asked me if I wanted to dine inside or outside. Of course outdoors for yours truly. I actually ended up coming at the perfect time because the sun was setting major. Those colors in the sky were PERFECT! Okay, let's get on with the dinner and wine. Shoshana was a DOLL! Gave me some great dinner recommendations and I took heed to all of them of course. She suggested the Petite Porchetta and Belle Siderio Red Blend pairing. The Siderio Red Blend by itself was a bit too bold for my taste. But, when paired with the Porchetta? A match MADE baby! It was INCREDIBLE!!! Let's talk about this Petite Porchetta; juicy, succulent, beautifully plated, and perfectly paired. This meal was just perf! This plate was roaring with the most delicious flavors and aromas. I scraped my plate... CLEAN! Mm hmm. Dinner was fabulous! And that service... wow! Superb from start to finish. Both Shoshana and Michael were total standouts. Loved their hospitality! The ambience here is so lovely. The main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because the wine that I tasted wasn't really thrilling. It wasn't bad, but nothing worth gagging over either. I'm thinking that an actual tasting here might change my mind. Either way, everything else was pretty impressive. We had a great afternoon wine tasting here - a nice change from the theater. The winery is about 10 minutes from downtown Ashland and well marked with easy parking. In addition they offer meals and appetizers. We tried 2 different wine flights and enjoyed them both. The varietals included Spanish, Italian and French. We all ordered the steaks because we were told that the burgers for whatever reason could not be made any other way than "well" and that the steaks could be. The 23$ cheese board was sparce with about one ounce of cheese total, and a very scant amount of packaged pepperoni and coldcuts. Fries advertised with oregon truffle actually were just oiled with truffle oil. We were not offered dessert or beverages after dinner. What can I say? Belle Fiore exceeded all expectations...winery in the mountains? Of course, a beautiful building and a vineyard blossoming over the hill? Like any decent winery has, but the food took me by surprise, a carefully plated charcuterie board and a roasted mushroom bruschetta that spews attention and a love for food that a lot of four star restaurants are missing. Ask about the special "Pairings", a must. The staff obviously love this place, and are happy that you're joining them for lunch, or the evening, or just to watch the live music. Helpful and knowledgeable, not afraid to steer you in the right direction if you seem a bit lost with the wine menu. Haven't had a more pleasurable experience for a long time, Jesus as my server exuded knowledge and confidence with a smile. 5 out of 5, I will be back. Well I'm probably not the ideal reviewer for this establishment. I am not a fan of wine but my amazing in-laws treated us to dinner. First off the beer was not very cold. My Mother-In-Law had a Chardonnay sample at it wasn't cold either. At first I wasn't sure about our waitress but after we talked a bit she loosened up and was pleasant and helpful. Now the food- I ordered truffle fries to share and they were just decent fries, more like garlic fries, nothing special. They had no beef option except the burger my Father-In-Law ordered and he stated that it was a good burger not that memorable. My wife ordered the "Steal head" as did her Mother, which she really enjoyed. I ordered the salad with chicken added. It was a very big salad but the dressing really lacked flavor. For such a huge place they lack in the food offerings. They could do much much better. Someone put a lot of their resources into this place and it is impressive. Felt the most commercialized of the wineries of my rogue valley trip. Wine was solid, nothing too exciting. The food on the other hand was filling, appetizing, and enjoyable.
