A wonderful place to go to sit in the shade under of one of their huge oak trees and sip a glass of wine. They have plenty of picnic outside, in the shade and grass. They have a great selection of wines and have a nice tasting option. I enjoy their Cabernet franc the most. They offer several options for beer and non-alcoholic beverages for those who do not prefer to partake in wine. They sell several options for snacks. One of the special aspects of this winery, different from most, is they host local plays in their theater, as well as local musicians, so check their website for upcoming shows.

Beautiful grounds and great wine!! White Tempranillo was amazing. Really like the Rousanne, Cab Franc, Syrah, and Malbec. Enjoyable outdoor area for tasting and tasting room manager, Naomi, was awesome! Great conversation and information about wines and local restaurants. Super friendly a nice tasting experience. Thanks Naomi!!

Perhaps not the best wine of all we've had that is made in this part of Oregon, but definitely among the friendliest people. Also a beautiful setting and while the tasting room is small and awkward to access now, they are working on what looked to be spectacular expansion plans. Still, tough to give a winery four stars unless the wine is deserving, and while we'd award four for effort, for outcome of wine maybe only three. Of the couple of whites and three or four reds we tasted, we purchased a bottle of the Mystere. A blended red that we thought was pretty darned drinkable. However, at about $20 / bottle this is more than we'd expect to pay for, frankly, better lower end wines both domestic and imported at a retail location. But buying a bottle from a tasting room strikes us as both a thank you to them for making the tasting available when there is no tasting fee (we were not charged here) and also as a means to support local agricultural efforts, which wine making is part of. Hours are limited here (something like 12:00 - 4:00 pm) and only a few days a week. We simply stumbled upon Grizzly Peak a couple of weeks ago when we had a hour to kill before picking up a car at a nearby dealership. Not sure this is worth a "destination winery" designation for travels, but if you have time and are in the area when they are open, the people are so nice and the setting is so lovely, it is worth the stop.

Wonderful wedding venue ESP with rain they are so well prepared. I photographed a couple from out east in the Redwoods then shot their wedding here and got a chance rainy day in June. It was beautiful and I so appreciated the indoor space with great lighting and acoustics!

Gorgeous venue, gracious hosts and wonderful wine. We sampled several varieties and really enjoyed all of them. I can't wait to go back.

There is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and every area is lovely. The food was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The service was excellent, and we also enjoyed a wine tasting. The wines were outstanding, especially for the price. Our host, Michael, did a fantastic job. He's knowledgeable, fun, and full of positive energy and enthusiasm. He even sang a French song in the courtyard, and he has a wonderful voice! We'll definitely be back to try more of their wines. Sorry, just trying to describe the maze of hallways, stairs, chandeliers, oil paintings, and overly proper decor that you have to navigate to get there. I'm not sure what all that real estate is used for because only a small part of it was the active restaurant. Just keep following the signs. Once arrived, there's a beautiful view of the vineyard, nice cover from the sun, live music, and a pretty extensive dinner menu. This isn't some flimsy "light refreshments" affair. We opened a bottle of one of their blended wines. I don't know much about wine tasting beyond copying how my neighbor swirls the glass, mumbling about "tannins," and sensing a definite tone of "old books and leather." Long story short, the wine was pretty good! For dinner, we got an assortment of foods. Everything was serviceable but not terribly memorable. The steak was the highlight dish and melded beautifully with the sauce and sides. The service was more hands off, but attentive to our needs. This is a solid 4 star spot that I'll definitely revisit as a local. Great meeting spot to bring friends and family to enjoy outdoor dining and delicious wines.

First, I called ahead to see if there was space and they said it was quiet. When we got there our seat at the window had already been set waiting for our arrival. We had the kale tacos as an appetizer and the Aloo Mutter Gobi and my wife had the Chana Masala. The portions were sizable and the food was incredibly delicious. The service was also impeccable - another nice touch was the server bringing out extra spice just in case my dish wasn't spicy enough (I asked for extra spicy). We are definitely putting this on our regular go out list - probably top 3 place I've been to in Ashland and the prices were quite reasonable. Highly recommended!

I asked the waiter if the "basmati" rice with the biryani on the menu was real whole grain--not extruded rice, which is a high-heat-processed rice product more like pasta. He said it was real rice, but it was not. It makes me wonder about other ingredients. The advertised "GF nan" I suspect is a frozen gf pizza crust heated up (texture tough and tasted old). Not one dish was exceptional and a few were flavorless. I and my family will not eat here again.
