    White and red wine flight
    Kim P.

Cute property with plenty of shady or sunny seating - your pick - to enjoy a glass of wine with good company it was a great suggestion for my husband and I to do both red and white flights to share.

Lovely winery that you can see off of the 15. This winery is open everyday. Friendly service. Dog friendly. Order your wine inside & choose a seating outdoors. I chose a selection of whites that were light & refreshing.

A very cute winery with good selection of wine. I came with a few friends and our dogs (yep, it's pet friendly!) and had a great time. The white wines were better (in our opinion) than the reds. We all shared two white wine flights and two red flights ($15/flight). After that, we got a bottle of Sunshine Daydream and one Verdelho to share. They both were very very good but the Verdelho was definitely my favorite - very fruity and dry. Each bottle was $28 so overall, the prices and the place were amazing, we are for sure coming back!

They even have a castle at Belle Marie Winery.

I am travelling in my RV and found these folks through the Harvest Host membership. This means I got the pleasure of spending a night here. It was a lovely way to end a day. I was delayed so phoned ahead and they had my white wine flight ready as I pulled in at 4:50. The team was so friendly and found me a sunny spot to sit outside in Adirondack chairs that gave a view of their lovely courtyard. Several groups appeared to be picnicking with their wine flights and/or bottles. Their was no urgency for anyone to leave even when the tasting room closed. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Blanc de Blancs Champagne-style sample. (And I'm not a "bubble" person!) I stayed overnight in the lower level parking. yes, I could hear the highway noise but that was offset by overlooking a large nursery. I definitely recommend stopping here when travelling south to San Diego Very easy access from the highway.

What an incredible winery! Great customer service and great wines! The location is very well kept and clean and has plenty of seating areas for you to enjoy your glasses or bottle of wine. First time here, but after reading the reviews, I decided to pack a picnic and enjoyed most of the afternoon at this winery. I had two small children with me and they also really enjoyed the outing. I love how close this winery is to the city. I highly recommend 2019 Maestro Cab Blend. Even bought an extra bottle for home. Can't wait to come back!

Convenient and easily accessible from I15. Plenty of wine to sample. Limited in food selection but totally ok. The courtyard garden is fabulous. The citrus trees give you a very California vibe. Staff is super courteous and helpful. Great lil find.

Quaint little winery in Escondido County. They have a cute store wherein you can purchase individual cheeses, charcuterie, crackers, wine gifts and more. I'd highly recommend a trip up for any wine lover.

    A flight of whites. Delicious!

I visited the winery recently while on a trip back home to SoCal to visit family. It was lovely! I had a flight of whites that was very reasonably priced and the wines were exquisite! The view and grounds were wonderful too and the owners...I met two...were very friendly despite being pretty busy. I will be back! PS BTW, they do not sell food there...just light snacks...but they will let you bring a picnic to eat at the outside tables, in the gazebo, or on the grass. That is what I did and it was perfect!

This is my 2nd time visiting this winery. I was last here about 4 years ago on Halloween. Super fun event. The wine is pretty good and the peaceful atmosphere is a plus. I find the service to be average. Meaning that if you are not a regular then you may not get as much attention or conversation as you would expect from a winery, especially since breweries and wineries are part of the hospitality business. I think it would be beneficial to discuss the wine flights after serving them but the menu sheet helps. The music they play is wonderful! The throwback jams relaxed me while enjoying the nature that surrounds the place. The inside is spacious and organized. I found the white sparkling brut to be very dry as expected but dry enough to make a delicious mimosa out of! I really liked that. Never would expect to be able to make a mimosa with a white wine but this one could totally do the trick. My favorite was actually the Chardonnay which shocked me. I personally feel that the place lacks diversity and that is a huge factor me. In fact, a lot of wineries in this San Marcos/Escondido area lack diversity. The way to pull more people in from different backgrounds is to dedicate events catering around the culture. Have a cutural event and spread the word as fast as possible. Anyhow, a relaxing place, a bit stiff but decent spot to sit and enjoy a few glasses.

What a hidden gem! This is the ultimate secret spot. This winery has a castle!! Flights of red and white are $20 each. The wine is good!! It is not overcrowded and I feel like not too many people know of this winery. I come on the weekends mid day and it is never busy. I bring a blanket and lay it out on the grass with the family and watch my kids run around the grass. They have citrus trees all over and it's fun to watch my kids try to jump up and grab the oranges. I'd bring your own lunch and order their wine. Perfect date or family outing.

    The view is beautiful!

Truly a hidden gem!…read more We stopped by after a nearby hike. It's a little out of the way, but worth a visit for the views over the vineyard, Palomar Mountain and surrounding area. INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SEATING Four of us enjoyed a bottle of white wine and sat on the shaded patio, taking in the views and enjoying the breeze. Indoor seating is also available in a beautifully decorated tasting room and other seating in Adirondack chairs is available at lower elevations. EATS: Charcuterie available for purchase. We took water and snacks. (Not sure if it was allowed, but nobody said anything!) PARKING: Parallel park on the street and walk through a gate and up to the tasting room. COULD BE MORE PERSONABLE The woman serving was friendly, although I would have loved to have heard information about the wines or the story behind the winery to make it a bit more personable. Once you get up there the view just made me feel so peaceful and calm. It was the perfect day for it with temperatures being in the 70s. They had really soft blankets available on some of the seats in case it got chilly. There was only one person working and her name was Simona. She was very welcoming and sweet. There were probably 5-6 groups of people there at once and she was able to take care of everyone. My friend got the red flight for $30 and I got the mixed flight (2 whites and 2 reds of my choice) for$25. We also got the cheese platter for $18 which included 3 cheeses. An aged white Irish cheddar reserve I believe. There was also manchego and a big chunk of brie as well. There were also raspberries, grapes, mixed nuts, dried apricots, and strawberry raspberry jam on the board and warm soft naan. My friend accidentally spilled her red wine on her sweater and Simona was nice enough to take the sweater and try to get it out in the sink. It worked pretty good! I want to come back to watch the sunset and try their other selections. I'll be back soon! Thanks Simona!

There are two parking lots that we saw, one closer to the bottom which was gravel but would require a walk up two flights of stairs, or there's a lot closer to the tasting room (paved) but is more limited. We were able to snag a spot up at the top luckily. They have a two sample limit & then you can buy drinks by the bottle or glass. The day we went they were having a 25% off bottle sale. There was only one employee we saw during the entirety of our visit but he was super friendly. We ordered a bottle, the charcuterie platter and a pizza. The charcuterie board is refrigerated and they provide a bag of crackers as well. We went with the veggie pizza & it took maybe 20 minutes to come out and was absolutely delicious. The grounds themselves are absolutely gorgeous. There are 3 covered areas to sit at up top with plenty of seating. Down the first flight of stairs has a fish pond and some beautiful areas to walk around. I'm not sure if that area was where they do weddings as there was also a spot across the way with a dais, but we didn't make it over there. The wine was delicious! We tried two of the whites and the sweet rosé. I'm not normally a rosé fan, but it was my favorite wine I had there. Overall we had a really relaxing time with beautiful views. I highly recommend checking out Sunshine Mountain Vineyard.

Such a beautiful view that even teenage boys will stop and appreciate it!…read more I found a great deal on Groupon that included four glasses of wine and a charcuterie board, enough for four people. It was the perfect way to sample their wines while enjoying the scenery. We also ordered two pizzas: the Sunshine Cheese Delight and the Sunshine Meat Lover. Both were good and hit the spot. We added a large bag of Stellar Pretzel to share, and for dessert (because I absolutely have a sweet tooth), we tried the Sunshine Double Chocolate Cake and Tiramisu. I prefer sweeter wines and ordered the Rosa and Riesling , both were great and exactly what I was hoping for. A couple things to note: I had read in other reviews that there were servers, but when we visited, we ordered inside, were given a buzzer, and picked up our food ourselves. It was also pretty cold outside, and it took some time for the staff to turn on the warmers. We came on a Sunday and learned that live music starts at 3 PM. My husband and I definitely plan to come back for a date when there's live music playing. We were able to park near the top by the tasting room, which was convenient. There's also seating below near a beautiful waterfall and koi pond , it's a bit of a walk down (and back up). Overall, such a scenic spot with good food, sweet wine options, and a relaxing atmosphere. We'll be back!

PRICE TO ENTER When you first enter, you will be in a gift shop/entry area where you pay at the desk. The cost was $14 per adult in April 2026. (Discounts offered for seniors, military and kids). IT NEEDS A REFRESH Overall, I felt the museum needed a bit of a refresh and rebrand. It's tired, dated and a little clumsy and cluttered. The items in the gift shop look like they've been there for decades. There are odd pieces of furniture lying around nestled between the cars along with cardboard stand-ups of Marilyin Monroe and dated photographs. The descriptive signage next to the cars are on the floor and wordy, hard to read. There was dust, dirt and cobwebs in display cabinets. It felt like someone had collected all this stuff, put it on display and then forgot about it. The cars and their paintwork were in great condition and paintwork was dust-free and shiny. It would have been nice to have learned about the owner or the story behind the collection, but we weren't given any brochures and there weren't any docents to ask. BARBIE COLLECTION In one building there's a small room with a large collection of boxed Barbie dolls from years past with a few Barbie cars as well. Again, it all looked a little tired and forgotten. WINE BY THE GLASS OR TASTING We didn't stick around for wine or wine tasting, but there were people there enjoying the patio and live music. There's a refrigerator with charcuterie and cold drinks available for purchase. The vineyards were pretty with roses and benches dotted around. Picnic tables are available out front. Their web site is one page, not terribly informative and again, could do with an update and refresh. Parking is complimentary. If you've never been before and like to seek out new places in San Diego County, stop by for a visit to either the auto museum, winery or both. See my photos attached for more details. Helpful?

There is another parking lot, it seems like there's plenty of parking around. We found our party in a courtyard next to the tasting room. There was plenty of seating and tables for everyone, and it was sectioned off from the rest (if you need a private area). We went in the tasting room and tasted several wines before deciding. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about their wines. After we got our wine, we decided to walk the property. It's a very quaint, unique piece of property with old buildings and new ones made to look old (bathrooms). You can walk through the vineyards and there are various areas where you could have parties. There is a barn, which is beautifully decorated and lit inside. It would be perfect for a wedding reception or any other type of party. There are several areas where you could put multiple groups of people or use the whole facility for a giant party. When we were there, there was live music.
